Gameweek 6 concludes this evening with a Monday night battle at The Britannia. Mark Hughesโ€™ side have yet to either score or pick up a point at home this season after losing both their opening fixtures in front of the Potters supporters โ€“ form in stark contrast to last seasonโ€™s, where they lost at home on just three occasions.

Hughesโ€™ troops will be buoyed by their visitorsโ€™ league displays. Newcastle have drawn blanks in both their road trips, though a midweek cup win at Hull, where new boy Emmanuel Riviere notched twice, will boost their confidence.

Mark Hughes makes just a single alteration from the side that drew against QPR last weekend, bringing in Mark Muniesa for Erik Pieters at left-back after the former notched twice in a cup win at Sunderland. Further up the field, Victor Moses, Charlie Adam and Mame Biram Diouf line up behind lone striker Peter Crouch.

For the Magpies, Tim Krul, Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Cisse recover from illness, though the latter continues on the bench as heโ€™s eased back into action following a long-term knee injury. Daryl Janmaat and Cheick Tiote also retain their starting berths after overcoming knocks sustained in last week’s home draw with Hull.

    If things stay as they are, Begovic would be the first keeper to pick up bonus without save points this season. Poor reflection on Stoke defenders' BPS performance.

    Just did a complete rework of my team:

    Mannone
    Zabaleta, Ivan, Bertrand, Hutton, Moore
    Sterling, Di Maria, Willian, Lallana, Milner
    Costa, Pelle, Campbell

    Was looking to fit in Courtois, but went with the cheap goalie.
    Willian is a punt which will be swapped for a cheapie if it fails, and then spent on getting Sturridge in up front for Pelle.
    I think both Willian and Lallana are about to hit form, as is Campbell.
    Willian is a risk though in terms of rotation. Wish me luck ๐Ÿ™‚

    I think you should be able to carry forward 3 FTs.

    That way the good planner is rewarded for forward thinking, and the casual can fix their team if they leave it a few weeks.

    Pelle vs. Welbeck.

    Here's my thinking:
    a) Arsenal will create more chances + have some great fixtures in a week or two. Welbeck will start putting more chances away. Ozil starting to warm up potentially.
    b) SOT in great form, with Pelle leading the line. He's got a great goalscoring pedigree and SOT are creating lots at the moment.

    concern re: B is how long will that continue. Coaches will be scouting how they play etc and start shutting down their (new) dangerous players. Over the medium/long term i expect ARS to score more goals than SOT. That said I'd prefer to have Walcott over Welbeck longer term, so maybe i go with Pelle for now and assess later down the line

      Pelle. Welbeck isnt a goalscorer and will put a lot of chances wide etc. Pelle is getting chances and sinking them
