City looked so much better when they pushed Yaya further forward and brought on Fernando. I've got him and dunno whether to get rid or not. I'd hold a few weeks if I knew he was gonna start.
im guessing he will start and play the 90min (jovetic will come on for aguero late into the game if City are winning by 2+)
I hope my players will be ok (and not injured) for next gameweek so that I can sell Krul without taking a hit.

Lessons learned:
- Captain Costa for safety.
- To climb, take a punt on captain and hope for the best. Di Maria, Sigurdsson at home this GW for instance. However it can surely backfire as Ulloa owners and in previous GWs Sterling owners got to know.
- You need those defense points. 1 CS out of 4 aint gonna cut it. (3 GWs in a row now..)
- Get to the party early. That means getting the likes of Di Maria & Sterling earlier, thus dropping non performers like Mata & Ramsey earlier.
- Trying to catch the best you need to take a a few more punts on players you know. Currently monitoring the likes of Walcott, Benteke, Coleman, Sturridge. JRod will return later as well.
- You need to have that little bit of luck.

Well, lesson 1 is a load of tripe, for a start.
Both yes and no. At this point safety is good. Later in the season when you try to catch punts are a must, including captain punts.
Lesson number 1.. the people trying to stay consistently in the top 1k after 7 GWs are almost never in the top 1k end of the season. just play the game without looking at rank 🙂
note: never been in the top 1k.. though i've managed top 5k 3 times and that is hard enough 🙂

Indeed! But obviously the further away you get the less likely it is that you catch the best.
Staying as close as possible is part of it.na.. usually around 300k around Jan along with many on here.. it's only after that when the jumps become much easier

You know why? It's because it's the beginning of the season and everyone is still close in points. Chill out and just keep up with it all!
The CS part is becoming the hardest - weeks that look the best for CS's in principle often turn out to be 1 pointers. So hard to predict. Leads me to think;
a) Aim for defenders with attacking returns in their lockers
b) Buy cheap defenders, they have just as much chance and you can spend the cash elsewhereExactly this.
I think after Christmas is the time to invest in big hitting defenders personally. That's my plan, or at least that's what I say to myself every time I see a nice defence and I look at my own poundland one

I'm looking for a 5th midfield who will sit on the bench, providing cover in the event of stering being rested for champions league, currently have Nick powell who came in on my WC in GW3 as a punt which hasn't come off.
George Boyd is the obvious choice, but seems too standard, are there any other options at 5m and under?

Dropped 85k places today. So gutted.
Southampton, Ulloa, and my other defenders really let me down. (Taylor, Begovic, Lovren = 4 points).
This week was pretty unforgiving. Time to look at changes you might need to make!!
The worst part was that even if I were to WC the team I currently have is pretty close to what I would choose on a WC. Frustrating.

Only suggestions I would make maybe would be to look into Ulloa and Lovren. Since you're going without ADM, you need another big striker to help out if ADM scores. 🙂

Yep, so unlucky not to get another assist or two today. Pleased with his 8 point haul. Went some way to making up for ADM getting 13.
I cant really downgrade any of Eriksen, Sterling, Siggy, Adm, Tadic.. though even if i did i would not know what to do with the cash 🙂 .. Kinda wishing i'd gone with him over Tadic this week 🙁 .. cant really drop Tadic until GW 13 now

Aguero, Sigurdsson and Di Maria proved to be better captaincy options than Costa this week. However I managed to jump to the 19th place overall thanks to Tomkins and Hazard. Only 8 points from the top.
