A number of midfielders are amongst this evening’s members piece, as we take a look the in-form options at Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. We also cast an eye over Diego Costa’s recent form, assess Sergio Aguero’s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPR’s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterday’s narrow defeat at the Bridge.
- Is Pochettino able enough to pick Kane?
Can anybody see any way that Poch can resist Kane's inclusion now ?..and if he notches when he get's a start will there be any going back ?
How did he play? His goal was a jammy deflection...
Doesn't matter, a goals a goal. The fact is the whole team played better with him in it. He's heading for a collision course with the fans soon is Mr Poch...
I don't understand that! It does matter since a deflected free kick says basically nothing about the player. But if the whole team played better then fair enough!
How many goals involve a bit of luck somewhere down the line ? quite a few...The fact is he grabbed the ball and was prepared to be the one getting the bit of luck...
Both Spurs goals were lucky
:Lucky players are FPL gold
Chadli was woeful, but still popped up on the right place to get himself a goalYeah, he's rubbish really, but like you say...he's got the knack.
the team played better when Villa were reduced to 10 men. Until that point Spurs were toiling. It was the sending off that turned the game, not Harry Kane imo.
This ^^^.
Several ways. He is a dire manager.
So dire he managed to beat your team WITH 10 MEN.
This is exactly the kind of FPL transfer that is bound to end in tears. He starts the next game, doesn't score, then doesn't start after that, then has a great fixture, maybe he'll start (?), and so on.
No intention of getting him yet...but just wondering a few "what ifs"...
is europa on this week?If it is he might start then as a final test.
Given that he chose to start Soldado over Hurricane today... I won't be surprised if he's on the bench come next GW. Most unfortunate cos he looks like their best forward.
No doubt about it he is their best fwd by a distance, as he proved last year.
It's looking like only an Adebayor or Soldado sale/transfer will give him a legit shot at leading the line for Spurs under Pochettino.
Don't understand why he's never given a start.
His quotes post game certainly tempt me into the gamble, a gamble that makes Sanchez easier to bring in.
What I don't understand is how Soldado is preferred to anybody. The man doesn't know where the goal is.
- Are Southampton Fixture Proof?
I'm curious, why does everyone seem to think that Soton will suddenly start to struggle playing at home to the likes of Everton and Man U?
Just because their fixtures are tougher doesn't mean their form will start to suffer.
(I didn't mean for that last bit to rhyme)That's why I'm keeping Pelle. With his scoring history, I think he'll do well regardless of fixture.
Pelle will be ok, it's Sot defenders who'll potentially be the issue.
defender will go. Pelle I will give a chance in a couple of games to see how he goes against tougher opposition
Fixtures over form for me unless you're talking about a Suarez/Bale type destroyer. With tougher fixtures, I expect southampton to score less and concede more so I'll no longer want to be tripling up on them. Their assets have reasonable enough price tags that they're not must sells though.
They've conceded five goals all season. That's half as many as the next best.
My point is that if Chelsea had tougher fixtures everyone wouldn't suddenly dump their defenders even if there was a good chance they might concede.Chelsea are (or were) a different animal though. In years past, they've been able to shut out even the best teams. Southampton don't have that track record. In general, I would be looking to sell a defender if he had a patch of really tough fixtures coming up and he had a premium price.
Ultimately I just don't see any value in players around that price range that I would think had more chance of getting clean sheets.
Lol at the last part. And agree I'm holding on to 2 of my Soton players.
just because mostly every one hear has 3 soton players in their teams and they won't bring up the same no.of points as they did in the first 10gws?
Everton couldn't score at home to Swansea, Man U got a late goal against the next best defence in Chelsea and have struggled to break down the likes of West Ham and Everton at home.
I think the assumption that Soton will definitely concede to these teams (playing at home) is based more on ingrained reputation than the current situation.
(That last bit rhymed a bit as well, I must have been a rap star in a previous life). So what you sayin' man
for a successful playin' plan
Just because its tougher
don't mean we have to suffer
Just forget the reputation
and concentrate on the current situation?
I'm a Saints supporter, and they have certainly looked very good this year. The only worry is that defending against the likes of DiMaria, Falcao, Rooney and RVP is quite a different proposition than defending against (say) Sunderland. Having said that, I'm still hopeful. They have been very organised, and Koeman has done an amazing job. I think they are creative enough to score against anyone........
Because most have 2-3 Soton players at the moment, and usually 1-2 out of Clyne/Bertrand/Forster. They'll surely start conceding goals in that period.
Even last year, they started exceptionally well and then fell back to "upper midtable" position as their fixtures got harder. They'll probably do a bit better this year, but it's a hard enough run to avoid having more than 1 Soton player.
I'd keep Pelle (maybe), but get rid of the rest.People have double or even tripled up on them. Putting a lot of eggs in one basket there
not at all. they've lost their only 2 tough fixtures this season!
will expand that and say i think there may be merit holding onto their attacking assets but by the time the tough run comes you will be able to cash in on the likes of clyne and bertrand for over 5mil which i think is more than they will be worth at that point
Southampton don't play United at home until GW 15 and Everton until GW17. Before that they face City at home and Arsenal away, and starting in GW19 it's Chelsea and Arsenal at home and United away. So far, the schedule has given Southampton a pretty easy ride, they've lost to the two best sides they've faced (Liverpool and Spurs) and drawn against West Brom, and in GW 13 we'll begin to see what they're really made of. I think I'll watch that from the sidelines and put some Hammers on the pitch instead.
@Triggerlips
I know I always mock you on here. Nothing personal.(you know that. I hope)
Just read the sad news about your mom on your blog. I know how you must feel, as I went through the big "C" with my mom 20 years ago.
Hang in there and travel safe.
CHRISTINAWow just saw that. Hang in there Trigg, sorry for your loss.
Hang in there bro!! Everything happens for the good..
🙁 fook 🙁
all the best trigGood week for you.
indeed cheers mate
honoured to be leading the senegoalese elite
Yup just saw that 🙁 . Really sorry trigg if you're reading this
Really sorry for your loss Triggerlips 🙁 Hand in there pal.
Best wishes mate
Jeez that's terrible news. My aunt had it last year but is thankfully in remission now.
My mom had to live through the fear of it coming back for 15 yrs. She got it when I was 6 yrs old. It was hell.
That sounds like an impossible thing to deal with at that age. My aunt was working with people in an aboriginal place near Alice Springs when she collapsed and they couldn't work out what was wrong with her for weeks. She looked like she'd aged about 30 years.
Im happy for you that your aunt is ok.
My mom battled it for my whole school career. Passed away the month after i passed my honors degree. I think she was tired and had enough. Only 60 yrs old.
I miss her more then ever now that I have kids.I'm sorry to hear that. At least she was there to see you grow up.
Damn. Sorry to hear that.
Even the most staunch of Sterling supporters are selling this week right?
The price drops are hard to take if you're serious about FPL.Yeah its time to go. Patience can be a good thing but stubbornness never is.
think all Sterling owners as of GW10 had him on the chopping blocks and tried to exercise patience. I've sold already but seen some experienced managers over the week holding on to him - all must be cursing their penchant for patience.
Yep, I sure am. Im gutted I was too patient to sell Sterling for Sanchez early last week.
Yep
Urgh. I have been away and just logged in. I woyld be gloating about a great haul of points and moving up 1.4 million places in a few gameweeks, but the sad thing is that i have sterling absolutely bucketing money.
However, he has lost so much this week that he won't drop again, so all thos transfers out from now on will just reduce his ownership, making him something of a differential. Maybe i should hold for one more week (have been saying that for three weeks.think again - he will still drop at the rate he's falling. once more before deadline surely - and once more Sunday morning.
I thought the price drops were limited to 0.3? Fiso has him blanked as if he can't drop again...
he dropped Sunday morning (1), this morning (2) and will drop again Saturday morning (3) latest before deadline.
Reset the GW, and he will drop again Sunday morning (4th in a row, 1st for GW12)
Seriously don't bother. His stats aren't good and they have Chelsea next
I might just be trying to convince myself because i need to take a hit to get in sanchez or ADM
admit you've made a mistake and correct it. I have.
Yeah, stubbornness has been my worst enemy in previous seasons. I'll be squeezing sanchez out for him shortly and i can reassure myself by telling myself i would have sold him earlier this week and saved 0.3 had i been around (that's a lie, but still)
Already have downing, chadli, hazard, chambers and aguero, so considering losing pelle to finance sanchez...fixtures turn spur soon...
I'd hold on to Pelle. Who else can you lose to get Sanchez? You have a great midfield though. Where has your budget gone to if you have Downing and Chadli in midfield??
Heaton, guzan
baines, bertrand, chambers, duff, taylor,
Hazard, downing, chadli, sterling, diame,
Costa, aguero, pelle
Not costa, surely? Although i have chelsea 'coverage' in hazard. This week this midfield was immense but i am considering this as a one off. Can't be complacent! I don't have a super budget mid but couldn't choose any below 5 mil so went for diame. What do you reckon? (No cash in the bank)Thats your problem unfortunately. You need a super budget mid like Boyd or Obertan to be an enabler.
nice team. Tough decisions there. Seems like Pelle or Costa has to go, but who would be their replacement?? Could blow up in your face either way. Pelle > Sakho gives u double WHU attack which is tricky, plus he has a good fixture - captain candidate even.
Damn, wouldn't want to be you. Think you spread TV around a little too well...
Yeah, Sterling already gone from mine too
I'm riding it out but only because I haven't figured out a replacement yet. I mean ADM would be an obvious choice but then who do I downgrade Eriksen (who I also want to lose) to? Don't fancy Downing. I thought of Mirallas but he's out for a few weeks...or I could punt on Ameobi if he continues to get gametime. But that's one to watch. It would eventually allow me to swap Pelle for Costa with the cash saved though...
I'm rambling but in short I need to wait to see who the best replacements are. I thinkSeems like a easy switch there no? Eriksen > Chadli, Sterling > AdM.
I'm not sure about Chadli either...it would be for a 4pt hit.
I would stop the rot and take the hit. They are a lesion you must remove.
The longer you hold on to them, the more limited your future moves will be. I've been stubborn 2 weeks too long with Sterling over Sanchez because of 2 'decent' fixtures.
Regret it but swallowed my pride and sold. Admit a mistake was made, correct it.Yep, thanks that's sound advice. I'm not averse to back-tracking if I think I've made a mistake, but I'm trying not to worry too much about TV this season also. Feeling a bit conflicted but I wouldn't be doing it for the money, I'd be doing it for the points. It does make sense I agree.
Same, i did feel conflicted as well. Purely a move based on price swings as I had to sell Tadic as well to fund the trade up to Sanchez. But oh well, can't hate the player...and we can't hate the game.
Haven't bothered about TV so far this season but this particular trade was abit too compelling - given Sterling was on the ropes for many and literally was an explosion imminent...esp with ready made, clear alternatives who are sure to rise 🙁
We talk about trying to get on players who explodes on points, but sometimes it's also the players who are about to be culled en masse that are key!Sterling and Eriksen are certainly in that category..values will plummet. Just off a wildcard too! Oh well 🙂
I like the look of this.
I'll have a look at Chadli then, since you're both saying it. Cheers. I just feel embittered by my Eriksen experience I think...and another Spurs mid seems sideways. But he is cheap..
No it is certainly sideways...but the funds it frees up allows a massive upgrade. That is the clincher for me. It's sort of just a wasted transfer, but looks a good route into upgrading Sterling from my seat on the couch 🙂
Then it looks like I'm about to take a hit, ha. Cheers both! Might well do this before tomorrow's price changes. 🙂
yup, agree with you Walsh. Made the some point just below.
Sometimes, this game is like the stock markets. Ride the waves of the market and on stocks that people are bullish on. Downing/Chadli are the popular enablers to allow Sanchez in at the moment.
No point being stubborn about certain players only to be hit by price drops and lost points.Yep, and it's the point losses that smarts most. Sometimes I think having a lower team value can save you from getting in fools gold type players, which otherwise you could have afforded. In fact Eriksen over Chadli might be a case in point. If only my TV had been still lower, I might not have made the mistake 😉
Yeah...we've all been there and done that - picking the pricier players only for the cheaper ones to perform! Tried to kick that bias but it's a hard habit to kill.
Thanks again. Have to get my head down but I've got something to think about now. Chadli may hold the key.
in any case, just seen you have Sanchez already - so that's one less headache 😀 good luck, you're an experienced player so you'll def make a rational decision.
Cheers Shifty!
Who are you selling / have sold to get alexis in?
Or at this stage you will be going without.Sold Siggy last week.
The ship has sailed. Alexis will blank over the next 3 matches.
Will is are you just giving bad advice for fun
Says the person who advised people to sell Aguero for Costa last week 🙄
Hook, line and sinker
Did he really? The dirty rotten swine! 😀
Check page 3 of his comments history. 5 times FFS 😆
Just now you said you wouldn't want ADM. Now Sanchez.
😆
At the end of the previous game week, Sterling to Sánchez, etc.
Sold Sterling two weeks back for Alexis 😎
@innsie was that directed at me or willis as I definitely didn't advise that move
Not you mate.
Eriksen 🙁
Lol@Christina
Been waiting for you to come on all weekend.
lol.lol
😕
🙂
Relishing our 2nd encounter this season 😉
Not like the loss mattered much, you're still on top.
I hope everybody has a good GW with one match to go.
Here are the price changes for 3rd of November, 2014:
Risers: C.Chambers, Jedinak, Dummet, M.Diame
Fallers: Rodwell, Skrtel, Begovic, Sterling, Mirallas, Evans, Januzaj, S.De Jong, Gomis
Enjoy 😉Hour earlier with daylight savings time. Very nice.
there is another diame in the league 😯
you can never be too careful with those price changes, once I wrote Chambers in the fallers, this place went nuts as it was Leo Chamber 😀
haha 😀
Diame and Jedinak? People looking for a new Yaya this season.
No fecking way, Dummett rose?! Haha that's great. I didn't even check the price rise sites, I just contented myself with the most boring transfer possible: Moore -> Dummett. But I've lost value on Sterling again, as I knew I would.
kept on talking up a switch from ADM to Sanchez 3gw ago. If only I went through with it 😕
shoulda coulda woulda
lol
You do this quite often, If.,... buts ......... could haves ........ maybe ....
You really need to think about changing your username.
Risers: Chambers Jedinak Dummett Diame
Fallers: Rodwell Skrtel Begovic Sterling Mirallas Evans de Jong Januzaj GomisThank you kind sir.
Well my kneejerk of doing Wisdom>Chambers and Sigurdsson>Downing is out the window now 🙂
Who still has De Jong?
It's been a while since you've done the price changes 😛
Thanks mate
Enner Valencia on 39 pts in his last seven...not bad..Picking up the pace a bit.
he is the real gem of the WHU attack imo
sakho probably still better value+ more money to be madeY Enner wen u can Diafra?
Still a million more than sakho though.
Yeah..tough to top Sakho..He's doing well though.
Would be very tempted if same price as sakho.
Best player in their team IRL, but not sure about him as a fantasy option in one of the 3 precious striker spots.
- Liverpool New Boys - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
I'm still mad. Let's pick on the signings.
The good: none.
The okay-ish:
Moreno: Has been at fault for 2 goals in 10 games but he's looked promising going forward and is looking to be a good left back. An upgrade on what we had last season and for 12m, he looks to be a good buy.
Manquillo: Hasnt been outstanding but hasn't been a dog, like Johnson. Offers zilch going forward but he's a good 1 on 1 defender. Can hold up a man, is strong but still has a lot to learn. A 2 year loan should see him develope nonetheless.
Can: Injury hit start to his life at Liverpool but when he's played he's looked promising. Very strong, quick and can breakup play. I'd have him in the first team to be honest. Passing needs to improve, though.
The bad:
Lovren: For his mum's sake, I won't rip into him that much. An absolute arrogant mug who's been at fault for most of our goals. Had a good season at Saints, maybe down to having Wanyama and Schneiderlin in front. He's been awful for us, 20m FFS. Poor business. Our defence has got worse and it's down to Rodgers + Lovren.
Markovic: maybe harsh to chuck him in with the bad. But at 20m, you expect something. All this "potential", "promising" malarkey, it's quite clear we needed first teamers. He hasn't played much but when he has, he looks afraid and timid. He's 20 and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, needs a year or 2 to settle. A bit similar to the Lamela situation.
Lallana: he's in the bad because yet again, his price tag. Good with this feet, good passer and pleasing on the eye. Always felt he's just good at playing fancy ball but has no numbers in his game. At 25m, Isco was available in the summer. Both on the same wages, too. A bit of perspective; I'd rather have Cazorla over Lallana. Cazorla is a bench player for Arsenal, and they're our competition. Says a lot.
Undecided:
Balotelli: Yes his body language is poor. Yes he shoots a lot. I will judge him after he gets a run of games with Sturridge. The one game they played in, he did very well. The strange thing with Mario is that he does a lot of defensive work, but looks lazy when attacking. Seems like he either fires hot or fires cold. Still needs time and the Sturridge partnership will give a clearer idea.
Lambert: I had 0 expectations of him. Let's he honest, he's only at Liverpool to complete the fairytale story. That being said, 4m and he's the least of our worries. Just hope he gets his goal sooner or later.
A lot of these signings are average or below. I probably would've signed none of these if I had a say. I'm a huge fan of Brendan but I don't trust him with money. A director of football could be the solution (as with Udinese, Roma), or it will make matters worse (Spurs).
Players I would've tried to sign would include: Begovic, Sagna, Caulker, Howedes, Diame, Fabregas, Schneiderlin, Isco, Milner, Bony, Tevez. In relation to my post below it seems big teams are not immune either 🙂
For the record, I think this is our best XI
Mignolet
Manquillo Skrtel Sakho Moreno
Henderson Can Allen
Sterling Sturridge CoutinhoI'd go:
Borini Sturridge
Sterling
Coutinho Gerrard Henderson
Moreno Sakho Skrtel Manquillo
MignoletMignolet
Flanagan Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Henderson Lallana Allen
Sterling
Sturridge Balotelli
Couts been quite good recently though.Ay, I forgot about Flanagan 😀
Still have Skrtel in the first XI?
He's not had a terrible season, but i think he has to be dropped if we want to progress, he cant play the high line that Brendan wants.
Mignolet
Flanagan, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno
Gerrard,
Henderson, Lallana/Coutinho
Sterling
Sturridge, Balotelli
Stick with the diamond that we had success with last year, give Balo/Sturridge partnership a chance when Danny is fit, and hope the defence improves. Rodgers is at least playing a consistent CB partnership which will hopefully improve over time, with Lovren and Skrtel together, maybe they'll establish a rapport?
My opinion:
Good: Moreno, Lambert, Lallana (overpriced), Manquillo, Can
Bad: Balotelli, Markovic (could get good), Lovren
Shame the players I rate "good" are the ones that hardly play. We need two upfront.Lovren annoys me the most. Agree with 2 up top, if Balo-Studge works.
I stopped reading at "I'm still" 😉
as a liverpool fan myself i agree with most of what you said especially the balo comment he needs to play with another striker and with daniel back i think he could improve
i think glen johnston is shocking and would love to see Wisdom in the squad next year as a replacement
the sad thing about liverpool is that we don't have the name or the titles ute have to daw the big players in even when we come second in the league£££ talks
ik ;(
Who signed Henderson and Suarez and why is he still not your manager ?...you could add Downing to that list as well in view of how he's playing right now.
Downing is a midtable player. Ironic because West Ham are on top of us 😀
Definitely gaining in confidence now though...For all the stick he's ever taken he's proving folk wrong and his ex manager right...But yeah, some players are better as a big fish in a smaller pond (are you listening Cabaye)
Nice post man.
Fabregas being signed for 30m and Lallana 25m is pretty laughable, but Lallana really should be given more starts... Isco would have been insane, as would Cazorla, but was Isco actually available?
Balotelli firmly in the bad bracket for me. 🙂 Appreciate your case for him though. Can't compare Cesc and lallana because of wages but we should've made an effort to use Cesc for Suarez deal. Isco was available all summer, for 25m
Isco and reus would be my dream signings
Reus is unrealistic for Liverpool
WE CAN DREAM CANT WE
Isco snapped up would have been heavenly.
it would have made as big an impact as ADM to utd in imo
Would've made a massive impact for us. it's okay though, we have lallana 😀
Good post. My thoughts:
The (potentially very) good:
Lallana: if picked more often, and crucially in the same side as Countinho. Didn't have a pre-season and will come good. No way Isco would have left Madrid for Liverpool. Same goes for Fabregas, Players want to play for teams consistently in champions league/challenging for titles.
Jury is out:
Can: Needs time.
Moreno: Agree. Worrying that he could have avoided both mistakes by using his right foot! Ricardo Rodriguez would have been my shout but he would have cost double.
Manquillo: Great defender (far better than GJ). Limited on the ball but should model himself on Ivanovic who is effective through good movement rather than dribbling etc.
Lovren: Unneccessary signing if he is seen as the left sided CB (already have Sakho). Should play right of Sakho, Defence looked better in the few games they have played together. Front foot defender which is needed when pressing.
Markovic: Shown nothing.
Balotelli: Despite body language, he has actually been working hard. Problem is decision making and shoot on site policy killing attacking moves. Can come good if taught to get head up and pass. Needs to run behind more.
Lambert: Needs game time.
Players you would've tried to sign would include: Begovic (No) Sagna (Yes) Caulker (No way) Howedes (Yes) Diame (Yes, squad) Fabregas (wouldnt come) Schneiderlin (Definitely) Isco (wouldnt come) Milner (wouldnt come unless starter) Bony (improvement on Balotelli) Tevez (wouldnt come)Excellent post.
Liverpool also missed their chance to sign Eto'o. So far, he's doing much better for Everton than Balotelli is for Liverpool.
We just need new set of defensive coach, goalkeeping coach and start using 2 up front often.
Only saw this because of the community round up. Great post young man : smile:
Since when Pellegrini managed Spurs?
"10 touches in the box by Nacer Chadli in Tottenham’s win at Villa earlier today. Manuel Pellegrini opted for Roberto Soldado alongside Emmanuel Adebayor up front but as the average position map highlights, Chadli (number 22) was the furthest forward of any Spurs player on the ball, with Christian Eriksen (number 23) far more withdrawn in possession before being replaced at the break. As Spurs prepare for some kind fixtures, the 6.5-priced Chadli is now up to third amongst midfielders for touches in the box this season (50, behind Hazard and Sanchez, with 59 and 58 respectively) and is subsequently top for shots (20) inside the box. Furthermore, his six big chances are joint-top with Sanchez amongst midfielders and goes some way to explaining just why he grabbed his fifth goal of the campaign earlier today."You shouldn't copy paste member stuff 😉
Where's TM when you need him? 🙂That's a helluva 'first ever' post.
It's funny cos i bought Austin for a hit.
You did what?
Your name say all 😆
😉Sterling, Siggy, Welbeck to Sanchez, Downing, Austin
-4Great moves! totally worth it!
cheers
Not the worst punt ... before peeps start to mock ...
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/939/doos tables ftw 😎
+42! 😆
if only i could see them 😆
Christina? sorry - breakfast duties.
I'd take bacon over a potato any day.
Bacon!!
No probs mate. Hopefully getting brekkie in Bed?
😉
Just wanted to know if Downing is worth it? I really want Sakho over Downing, but Costa/Pelle/Kun staying for now.
Im looking at ways to finance Sanchez.look at downing stats. excellent.
i was looking at buying him before his haul.Damn! you were looking to buy both Sanchez and Downing?
Looks like Im getting them this week.
Cue Tadic 15pts vs Leicget Downing them...I got him on Saturday instead of Sterling to avoid the price changes and chose him over Sakho...
And dont you dare give me one of those fancy tables of yours!
In that case Downing is worth it!!!
lol
I will check his stats and those of his opponents now.Compare Sakho and Downing...you will find the answer...
and don't accidentally compare him with Liverpool Sakho like I did 😆Im comparing Sterling/Downing/Tadic at the moment...
Other then Downing's % Shots on target he is up there with Sterling.
For 3 mill less.nice! got myself a nice player and hopefully will earn 0.1m of him 😀
what site do you use for stats tina?
Shhh....i don't wanna give it on here.
you got an email?Do you have Arvin's email?
nabnabsheikh@yahoo.com.au
and no i don't.mailed
For what it's worth (not much), I have the same front line and Downing too. He has done me proud.
Only slight drawback with a more expensive front three is that I now have a (too) cheap MID for the upcoming GW:
Fab, Sanchez, Downing, Wanyama (Boyd)
But they all have good fixtures so I'm willing to take that risk.Hmmm, that's why I want to keep Siggurdson a while longer.
same as me except siggy in for boyd.
frustrating having wanyamas points on bench everytime he does well thoI know.
I got lucky once when Costa was out and Wanyama added 6 to my total as 1st sub.
I'm now hoping he'll get another start against LEI this week.
what does it means by touch and go? Sakho is believed to be touch and go for Stoke, does it means he's certain to start in the next game? im getting him in.
"Touch and go" is like a one night stand.
It means 50/50
For Stoke, which was Saturday
9 out of the 11 players in my starting eleven for next week are in dream team. Feels good to look at it
Ahh...one of the Argies....
😕Take good rest this week. We don't want any excuses later 😉
What's your squad mate must be good
Check out the dream team and my front 7 will be there
Unfortunately next week's scores aren't in the dream team yet 😉
Hehe..good point 🙂
Early RMT (PS give me the whole truth)
Foster
Toby Vlaar N.Taylor
Sanchez DiMaria Fabregas Boyd
Agüero c Pelle v Costa
bench: Hamer M.Wilson Albrighton Alcaraz
-4Solid this week but Boyd and Albrighton are nowhere near good enough 4th mids you will get regular 2 or 1 pointers from them imo
Thanks.
Drunk transfer last night, sold Sterling > Chadli. YAY or NAY?
Yay
Anything is better than Sterling at the min
Chadli is great value. I don't know why people don't rate him
Hes like the opposite of Tadic. He looks so bad but gets points.
Anyone else watch LOST here? Thoughts? 🙂
I watched it from start to end. Was one of my favourites. They maybe bottled the ending a bit
Think they got a bit tangled up tbf. Still I loved it, even if it was a bit difficult to grasp and they only ever answer your questions with more questions.
I think the endless quest for answers was what kept you coming back. For me one of the best TV programs ever. I can understand why others didn't like it though. You needed to properly watch it to appreciate it and be patient because it may take a long time to find out more about a plot point
Definitely something that can properly divide opinions...
Shit, didn't realise I got replies last page, whoops. 😳
im sick of ur shit
Get LOST HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
> : [
8 - ) (me wiv cool shades on)
Thought it was rubbish
Current watching
Peaky blinders, tyrant n GothamGood first series......rest a bag if shit.
i've quit after 2 seasons. it was obvious that the makers didn't have a clue how the story would end
They tied it together mostly in the end. all the random stuff like polar bears got explained
Most of the stuff is explained just have to give it time and focus...
Even if you don't quite get the main story you can still easily enjoy the mysteries, characters, backgrounds and action.
It gets worse with each series and ends terribly, so you saved yourself there.

First 3 seasons are sick, can understand if you lost a bit of interest following seasons.
i did the same and thought the same. The writers were winnging it and it showed
It
The island protects the source of time like a cork. The light seeping out is 'the arrow of time'. When they release more light(the wheel) they travel through time and space. The black smoke is the past. You can see the person's past in the smoke when they confront it.

Fave scene is Mr. Eko letting go, opening up saying how he did nothing wrong. Beautiful. xo
Why are people rushing to bring in Chambers, fixtures are poor upto Christmas.
Don't look at the colors, fixtures aren't bad, Arsenal getting tighter
Hardly poor
For his 18 points again next week
The only tough ones are United home, Liverpool away and a home/home with SHampton up until the January wildcard
All arguably possible for Rewards
Great for 4th DEF
he can score and assist...
... and get booked
Greetings all.
62 points and still a red arrow.
That's what you deserved for not owning an Arsenal player 🙁60 and a red. That's what you deserve for thinking Welbeck is adequate cover. 🙁
Similar story, mate.
So what's the latest move? Got Alexis/Calum in already?Sterling>Sanchez. Not getting Chambers.
Same here. Tadic -> Downing to fund it. you?
FT. Had money ITB which was planned for Welbeck>Rooney. Now bricking the fact that it's really tough to get him in.
Why Rooney? i watched the game last night and he was playing way too deep for my liking. I think you'll be better off without him.
He'll score points, as he always does.
should have put away his chance after that run. Not sure what he was thinking!!
Probably shocked he'd just done it. Spellbinding run. Can't remember the last time he put his head down and went through defenders like that.
Yeah, when you looked at his History and previous prices, he's ridiculously priced at 10.2 atm! but I don't like his role nowadays plus ADM is arguably a better pick at 10.1 cheaper.
*0.1 duh
want to do pelle->rooney but just no fund to do it so might give it a skip
skip at your peril 😛 Kidding mate.
painful transfer to make, but i did the same couple of transfers.
feel any better after making it Nabil?Definitely good, Shifty. Thanks for the reply yesterday 🙂
1st time owner of Sanchez, and Downing this season - after a long, long time since his Boro days.Same, have held off Sanchez for long enough. A couple of GWs ago it was a question of Baines or Sanchez in...got Baines in.
Last GW it was deciding whether to bring Sanchez in for Sterling but felt wasn't worth a hit.
Lesson learned - just got him in anyway this week..feck it if he has tough fixtures! 😀 Downing isn't too shabby a pick for the fixtures I guess!Yep. Lesson learnt hard.
We knew he's going to be "essential" at some point, just being late for the party. Better late than never, i guess 😉
but marney was back so it should have been safe 😛
Yeah, something to cheer about 😀 Let's start him against HUL!
na it was a bizarre opinion doing the rounds last week that dean marney was gonna single handedly stop arsenal 😆
How you travelling this season nabil?Haha I know, it's always fun to be overly optimistic 😆
Pretty nice.. hope I can stay in top 10k and achieve my bigger target. Yours?
I got declined by a load of beach hockey/football/rounders teams or whatever it is. I dedicate my recent mini-rise up the rankings to you guys 😆
You were declined because you just aren't popular.
😳
This is not true. Have a look at one of the finalists and see for yourself how many are popular. You didn't approach the right teams is what I can say.
You want to fight huh? Huh?
*starts undressing😆 not today Christina
I'll also note it was mostly down to the fact he applied too late and most of the spots were already gone
Context is the natural enemy of narrative
Lol good point
Who are you?
Why on earth are people getting Maria?!? 😕
He is quite good? 🙂
Why not? Blanks against City and Chelsea doesnt mean anything
Why on earth are they selling him would be a better question.
I sold him for Sanchez. I see more potential in him. Sure ADM will do well but I've been justified so far and glad I did it. Sick of holding onto players with bad games just for holding 'value'
I have Sanchez ADM and Hazard...none of them are going anywhere.
Fab for me. Can't have everyone.
Smalling is out for 3 games so can't ruin his chances of returns by getting sent off for a while
I can do Pelle, Welbeck, Silva, Hazard --> Costa, Austin, Di Maria, and Sanchez....
but too much headache to just get a player in...Nah, not wort crow barring austin in.
lollol..Austin is my Pelle replacement *Ssshh*
Haha
Pelle out? 😯
don't worry soon you will also be doing this move
#I'm-The-ClairvoyantYes, but not before leicester home.
yeah..these transfer were not meant together...I have never taken more than -4 hit in my life!
You need to get out, more, then! 😉
😆
Really hoping someone will invent a cure for hiccups , but I won't hold my breath
Stupid question.
If I took a -4 tonight will that show up tomorrow after score are updated for MNF or after the start of next GW?
ThanksNext GW.
Cool thanks
I can't help but read your posts in Grover's voice
😆
out of madness & impatience, i just did a -8:
jags - wisdom
siggy - downing
ramsey - sanchez
now having:
krulliot
wisdom chambers berty (duff/ wilson)
sanchez fab adm downing (boyd)
costa pelle(c) kun
0.1 itb
now regretting the move...should hold onto it..arghhhSolid trades but -8 hurts
Worth it. Will pay off long term no problem. All the very top players take big hits now and then. That's a key component to this game - Knowing when it is necessary
thanks man..hopefully it pays off this week (well at least covering the hits taken)
nice score btw without even captaining sanchez..kudos to u!Thanks. Been trying not to gloat about it because I can't stand the gloaters haha.
My 10 year old cousin is rank 67K. He just puts whoever he "likes" into his teams.
i feel like quitting now 😆
My wife is ranked 626. It's been brutal
One day I hope you can change that gravatar into a happy face
Serious?
Unfortunately, yes
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/3011/history/Do you mind if I look her up on Facebook?
look at all those hits 😯
In my work mini league, one of the lads let his 12 yo son play in it. The swine was leading for half the season last year with Yaya and Ramsey 🙂 I caught him in the end!
As usual, I had a terrible first 4-5 weeks but am now pulling myself up the rankings.
Anybody else tend to follow this pattern every year?
I'm genuinely considering next year just picking a starting squad with all the highest % ownership players. At least I can guarantee an 'average' start that way!My best seasons when I start crap
My worst is when I start wellI guess that could be something to do with enforced wildcarding/ proactive transfers (because you are forced to sell)
Or just complacency?
Mind you a friend of mine has quit this year. no transfers for the last 3 weeks because he got about 30 points in the aguero4goal week. That's a shame because I'm sure he could've pulled it back.Wildcards have saved my bad starts
Wildcards ruined my good starts
🙂You are making me nervous about my - still possessed - wild card!!! 🙂
Same..had a horrible start now slowly gaining...
This is nothing on last season though. I was around 2 millionth after 5 gws last year, and only entered 100k in about GW35, finishing 28k.
What a grind!nice job!
I had a good start but I was starting to drop but then the WC got my season back on track
It does seem that wildcards are best used early rather than holding.
This year I was sure I'd hold onto it, thinking my team was OK. Then last week I spontaneously (and probably unsensibly!) activated it and it worked wonders. Don't think I'll ever hold it beyond GW10 in future.Last year or maybe the year before that, the FPL winner used his WC in gw2!
I was thinking about holding to it for the DGWs but had to play it as my team was completely shite
5.5k yay! 😀
Why does Moore (0min) show up in my point-squad when Duff (1point) was my second sub while my first sub Hutton didn't play either??Another game left yet will be updated after tonight's game
ohh, sorry. Of course. Thanks.
Stupid me. Thought Spurs were the last to play somehow.Rookie 😉
lol, yea! Not doing remotely as much trannie wise compared to my last two seasons - must be luck and the lack of hits I guess!
No 9 in Germany tho!!!
Juuhuuuu!Amazing to think there are only 9 people entered from Germany this season 😉
Morning Spectrum! 🙂
See below 🙂
Aahh, R̶e̶c̶t̶u̶m̶ Spectrum. See you in the hokey pokey final.
Yeah if I could do the cross out thing I would cross the ina out of your name and put Christ we are going to win it.
😆
Not sure the other 8 are all Germans though 😉
Gratas Sirgedas
James 'Tinker' Topping
Boris Borissov
..
HAving a happy season so far, lol!Sound about as German as Vinny Jones is Welsh.
One game to go.
