We delve into the Gameweek 23 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Liverpool’s flourishing attack, Southampton’s misfiring frontman, Angel Di Maria’s eye for goal and Eden Hazard’s worrying home form are all on our radar.

    Adebayor to West Ham?

Pity the fixtures suck and he's unlikely to have pens. Doosra won't give them up

It will also hurt the Sakho wagon I was planning on jumping on in a few weeks.

QPR the latest with interest. 100k a week though, will take some bartering with Spurs to pay a significant portion of that.

I've missed Doos banging on about Ade

But, from memory whenever Ade goes somewhere, doesn't he initially he do very well? Bangs the goals in

What's the most unusual reason you have used for selecting/not selecting a certain player?

I once chose not to select an up and coming goalkeeper because he had, several years earlier, tried it on with my girlfriend.

I like to think my Fantasy Football decision put him in his place...

    Evening All

After my best week of the season slightly tainted by Jonjo & Bertrand right at the end, I am in need of some advice

    Bertrand > 6m Max

    Current Team for this week

    De Gea
    Wisdom PVA Bertrand
Puncheon Cazorla Sterling Di Maria Hazard(v)
    Aguero(c) Giroud

    Subs: McCarthy Austin Bellerin Hutton

Lost on bottom of last page:
    Thinking of 3-5-2 post WC. Thoughts on this lot appreciated;

    Forster, Gilks
    Terry, Bellerin, PvA, Wisdom, Naughton
    Caz, Sanchez, Oscar, Haz, Silva
    Augero, Kane, Naismith

Fixtures are certainly piling up for some of the clubs now.

Makes you wonder about some of the FA Cup results. Lucky in a way they didn't all win their 4th round games.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/fixtures

Given the League cup final and the double header in the last 32 of Europa, Spurs need no more fixture stacking this season.
Good luck to Harry Kane, plenty of chances to rack up more goals.

      Is this your WC?

You are going to have to accept (without bleating about it on here 😉 ) that you will have some big bench scores along the way.

Not WC, that was last week! I just feel that there are lots of great mids at the moment and going with 5 seems to be the way. I will probably have bench scores some of the time, but if played right, I'm sure it will be fine (he says.. ;)).

Can't decide who to drop from midfield to fund Kun move (on WC)

    Sanchez Santi Eriksen Hazard Silva

(Have Gru , Kane up front)

    A) Eriksen: tough fixtures and blank. But he is literally on fire at the moment
    B) Sanchez: no news from injury and Santi Gru for arsenal cover, could get bellerin if I sell him
    C) keep it all, play 3-5-2 with KUN Kane upfront and get bellerin

When you grow up being drilled to pass and kick a ball to adhere to a certain set of statistics you grow fairly dull.

The younger lads, a lot of them, spend their days training and their evenings playing FIFA.

Did you just see Zaha's interview, so uninspiring, every post match interview nowadays seems scripted too , I suppose the ones that make it all the way to the top have to have that in their personality to be disciplined and not go down the wrong track but it's so boring sometimes

            1. Somalion

One can have personality such as Pirlo or Zlatan, even Bellamy spoke his mind very frequently. But some are exceptional cases, they can be who they want to be because they're so talented. Others have to stick to the script, I agree that they're not very interesting. Then again, they are pro-athletes, I'm not sure what I'd really expect them to say to be interesting. All they know is their sport (some of them do branch out, though).

To be really honest, players always have their chance. Every day in training. If you want it bad enough, you'll be the first to arrive and the last to leave, every day of the season. Then you'll get chances. I don't think Zaha was arsed tbh.

Well he is competing with Puncheon/Bolasie/Gayle for a starting sport who are on fire now. Zaha is only 22 trying to regain the form that got us to the prem, recovering after a year up north frozen out by Moyes, and loaned out to a atrocious Cardiff side. Since Pardew has arrived he has gained more and more game time and the confidence is coming back. Hes back home now where he is loved, and with his future now certain im sure will kick on for us. Great to have him back!! 🙂

Great article! But something not quite right here 🙂

"From Gameweek 16 onwards, Kane has netted 25.8% of his attempts – that’s far superior to Austin’s 14.3% conversion rate and almost on a par with Diego Costa’s predatory 25.8%"

I would say quite on par with Diego Costa, but thats just me 😉

        Hi all,
I am in a bad shape in my private league and think about wildcarding (second wildcard)
        Is it worth :
        Leaving Southampton defenders?
        Leaving Sanchez for Cazorla?
        Taking Ospina or Bellerin?

        Wisdom, Terry, Koscielny, Duff, Bertrand
Cazorla, Hazard, Di Maria, Sterling, Albrighton

Bertrand to Clichy is an amusingly bad move. Selling a player that's missing the next 3 games for one that will probably play 1 of the next 3, and the away game at that.

I think the spot is Clichy's to lose and Kolo will sit this one out.

But I guess either way it's a punt.

          The Adebayor cycle is:
          1. Impress at a new club
          2. Wage increase
          3. Go off the boil and reveal true lazy character
          4. Repeat
