    Feels there there are no teams you can bank on at the moment to get a CS, then again Smalling has 10, Bellerin has 9 so maybe I'm talking nonsense

      You are right though - Smalling is very expensive and no other United defenders are reliable.

        Yellow card accumulation leads to a 1 game ban for 5, 2 games for 10 and 3 for 15. There's a thing on the front page showing who is close and amnesty dates at certain times like new year for 5 so 10 is the next one to watch for.

    Morning all! Taking a strange satisfaction in my rank - after having no players last night I dropped to dead on 40,000, not sure I've ever had a rank exactly on a 10k number before. Payet is my enemy this season, he punished me badly for never owning him this season, and I was always set to bring him in this week and the ONE week he's back and I don't have him, he gets a goal and assist. Got him last night for Arnie (I'm not being left behind again), leaving me the ultimate benching headache:

      I think many will be in the same boat, I benched Vardy this week but long term I'm looking for a cheapie 3rd striker who won't cause me as much bench point pain as Ighalo. For the next two weeks I may go AOA and bench boost.

      Thats the problem for many. Most of guyst have same guys in but need to find someone who can make differential. I dropped Mahrez to bench and had Antonio in. Good 8 points in.

      Will have similar headache soon - but with Aguero instead your Kane. Nevertheless it's a "nice" headache to have. We have always had choices and the big front 8 just gives us a sub-choice within the overall selection choices. The advantage is that if one is injured then we have another good auto sub. The disadvantage is that it costs us an extra 1m or so - not prohibitively expensive.

      So embrace your headache Doolittle - all is well. Your OR, unlike mine, augers well for a great season.

        Good moves, I had Coutinho and Arnautovic and switched (got Alli a few weeks ago). It's a great front 8, I think we'll just have to learn not to beat ourselves up about benching mistakes (I've had a lot of practice in recent weeks).

              Me too. Had Westwood for most of the season and only upgraded to help with rotation over the Christmas period, which didn't really happen.

              Of the two moves I mentioned, which would you do this week? Don't really want to take a hit to bring both Alli and Payet in this week. A few in my mini league have Alli and I'm guessing a few will get Payet now. I fear not having them both.

        The benefit I have when benching Lukaku is that, as an Everton fan, if he scores at least I'll still be happy (though the happiness will be marred slightly by benching him).

      Firstly fair play on the rank, no doubt you'll jump back up tonight. I also missed out on Payet earlier in the season but had points coming in elsewhere to keep me high in the rankings. This time round I got him straight in coz I also missed the Vardy and Ighalo parties.

      That is a splitting bench headache! But I would probably settle on Alli. 1 - because you have Kane, 2 - because Sunderland will park the bus and 3 - because I personally am ignoring the Alli bandwagon. He looks a great player and amazing value for fpl, but of your options he isn't so much of irreplacable player within his team.

      I guess i'm referring long term with point 3, but point 1 and 2 are enough to make a decision for gameweek 22! 🙂

          Mate this is what kills me! I'm not that far from you in current ranking and my team value is just over 102.1 and I have 1.1 in the bank!

          I had Mahrez and Ozil from week 1 and got on Kane and Lukaku early but was ruined by my faith in Hazard (as a Chelsea fan) and Mane (Coz I was a massive fan last season). How the hell do you well over 110 million value in your squad?!

    A) Eriksen/Walcott -> Payet
    B) Rose -> Walker
    C) Eriksen -> Alli

    Alli and Antonio would be ideal Aguero enablers, I think Payet leaves me just short

    I went from 125k to 63k overnight! Payet transfer did me proud and a Bacuna clean sheet + 2 bonus points was just plain sexy!

    Haven't felt this marvelous since I breached the top 10k in gameweek 10ish!

    Suffice to say that Payet worked out well enough for everyone yesterday so?
    Looking forward to next week, how's this for an idea..

    CURRENT TEAM:

    So here's the two options:

    A) THE BIG HITTING MIDFIELD

    Replace Arnautovic with....
    Yaya (or Oscar or anyone for 8.8m), bench one of Lukaku (che) or Ighalo (swa).

    B) THE CASUAL SHEEP OPTION

    Replace Arnautovic with....
    Alli, and probably still bench Alli, although I could still end up benching one of the forwards..

      Yaya certainly has good form. I am also someone who doesn't mind a benching headache, just the decision if it backfires is horrible. But as Spurs are at home to Sunderland this weekend I think Alli is the best option, give yourself a bit of Spurs cover in attack.

      Alli is the correct choice, but in reality you're gonna be benching him most weeks I'd presume, so I'd be tempted to give Oscar (or Willian) a whirl while Chelsea are on the up and choose one of kaku, iggy or mahrez to bench each week. The boy's right though, no real need for you to take a risk at this point.

      The move has been much more painless than expected, I didn't realise quite how often my bosses are out of the office. They were in pretty much all day yesterday, so I wasn't able to come on here for more than 5 minutes, but they're barely ever here. Plus I've partially stopped caring, it's still not really picked up after Christmas so there's not much urgency.
