Transfer activity is set to increase markedly over the next week as the community tackles the latest suspensions and injuries ahead of double Gameweek 37. Our community writers have been full of advice on securing the best options for the final three rounds of fixtures, while our hot topic posters have taken a detailed look at key assets from Chelsea and West Ham in particular. Over in our Members area there is more statistical advice for double Gameweek planners, including a look at the most bonus-friendly defenders and goal-hungry attackers. Finally, we see how a lacklustre Gameweek 35 for many managers affected our Community Tournament standings.

The Community Articles

For those looking for a new defender for double Gameweek 37, Balders’ article on the most likely to secure bonus points should prove vital reading.

Sticking with double fixture planning, Lateriser12 relaunched our Rate My Wildcard Team Surgery article series this week to help those still with this handy Fantasy Premier League chip to play ahead of Gameweek 37.

Looking ahead to Gameweek 36 Bolivian Seaman dropped by with his regular update from the fans’ forums.

Elsewhere, Kavali delivered his latest report on the rise and fall of the Fantasy veterans he is tracking over the last two Gameweeks.

Don’t forget, if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports or features brewing, be sure to visit our community section to submit your article.

The Hottest Topics

Dele Alli’s three-match ban for violent conduct has his owners scrambling for a new midfielder. In our discussion on the best Alli replacement, Lateriser12 recommends West Ham’s attack-minded and budget friendly Manuel Lanzini, while Athletico Timbo has Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu in his sights.

Chelsea midfielders are a little more pricey, but for those with plenty in the bank or happy to take hits, the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Willian are attracting interest. As our discussion earlier in the week on their recent upturn in form shows there are plenty of Fantasy managers  looking to secure their services in time for the London side’s double Gameweek 37. This week’s Rough with the Smooth round up of your latest scores also showed how early investment in Chelsea players has already started paying dividends.

For Acquafresca, Watford’s Troy Deeney and Sunderland’s Jermain Defoe look among the best striker options for the forthcoming double Gameweek. Elsewhere, TM245 served up some more names to consider in his look back on the best players around the previous double Gameweek.

While early investment in double Gameweek players could prove fruitful, patience may be the best policy. Our discussion on double Gameweek planning considered whether waiting a week may offer Gameweek 37 planners vital, extra information to steal a march on their more trigger-happy rivals. In contrast, there are plenty of others who are prepared to take hits this week as they stock up early on players with an extra fixture.

The Members Tables

Sunderland attackers took centre stage in Kushal21’s latest table, while coopermacdonnell77 has delved into the attacking data to assess the best captaincy options for the season run in.

To supplement Balders’ community article on defender bonus potential, I’ve created this table, which looks in detail at the players doing well in the key criteria needed to secure these extra points.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

In addition, with blanks and double Gameweeks now here it is wise to sort by matches rather than Gameweeks to give a fairer gauge of form,

The Community Tournaments

In the FFScout moderators and contributors league Andy has regained the lead and opened up a 35-point gap over second-placed Evs.

Ralf Buckenmaier still tops Red Lightning’s Top 10k Any Season, however the number of teams in the overall top 1,000 has dropped from 16 to 13 following a difficult Gameweek 35.

Meanwhile, In Red Lightning’s January to May League Brad Craig is the new leader.

Those taking part in the Going Out With a Bang league, set up by Kings of Lyon to assess how the chips are being used for the season run-in, scored just 43 points on average, underlining what a tough week it was for many. With a score of 61 points, Enter Shaqiri takes the lead, closely followed by Baines on Toast in second and Eden Hazardous, who moves up to third.

The Long and Winding Road main league also has a new leader, with Jim Coft opening up a nine-point gap at the summit.

In TorresMagic‘s Last Man Standing competition, Insane In De Bruyne hit the top score in Gameweek 35 with 58. There are now 14 teams left after 15 were eliminated when the safety score was set at 36.

If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round Ups please email me a brief summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spread sheet or head to head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

      Lanzini if he's playing has got the higher attacking threat, and has missed a bunch of easy chances recently. If you've been bitten by the rotation bug though, and want to calm your nerves, I'd go Antonio. Whilst there are scenarios in which Lanzini gets rotated, like if Antonio gets pushed up onto the RW, I don't see Antonio ever not making the team sheet in some capacity.

    Howdy DZ. Still making up my mind on this horror-show of a team.

    Darlow | Robles
    Smalling | Bellerin | Delaney | Gabriel* | Sakho*
    Sanchez| KDB* | Coutinho* | Milner* | Alli*
    Kane | Kun* | Mitrovic*

    0.1 itb, 1 FT. Abysmal, so:

    A) KDB + Alli + Mitrovic --> Payet, Fabregas, Defoe (-8)
    B) KDB + Alli + Mitrovic + Sakho --> Payet, Fabregas, Carroll, Kirchoff (-12)
    C) Coutinho + Alli + Mitrovic --> Payet + Antonio + Defoe/Caroll (-8)

    Vague plan next week is another -8 (and I'm usually hits averse 😐 ) to possibly remove Kun and Coutinho for someone like Hazard and Lukaku if either of them show form this week, and Sakho to Cresswell.

    It's difficult with so many potential non-starters, but whaddya reckon? Cheers!

        The issue is that there really isn't anyone that I can see. I don't want to deal with Lanzini, who has even a slight chance of not playing. And down at that price range who else do you see? Brady?

      I'd start a 3-4-3 and bench Moreno, Iwobi and Mignolet won't play. You will have a fine side and that's important this week.
      Your final decision is to either start PvA or Simpson, the fantasy experts will say PvA but you tempt the wrath of the fantasy gods by being too greedy so start Simpson and cheer Leicester on to that 1-0.

    I wouldnt mind having Lukaky in my starting 11 for tomorrow, he could get a hatrick in it (or nothing of course)

    Morning DZ,

    who's more likely to start this GW between KDB and Firminio?
    don't want to end up with expensive player on the bench when I can use money elsewhere 🙂

    Thank you

      I dont see either starting but kdb probably more likely to come off the bench. If they are winning then probably not.

    So what is my -4 move guys:

    Robles (Lloris)
    Bellerin Gabriel Simpson (Delaney, Sakho)
    Mahrez Sanchez Payet Coutinho (Alli)
    Aguero Carroll Kane

    A. Sakho > PVA
    B. Sakho > Reid / Cresswell
    C. Coutinho > Fabregas

    Favouring B, and see how Cout plays out in the EL.
    Cheers in advance all

      Reid

      DDG (he will face as many shots as Darlow in this fixture, and is the better GK).
