Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Liverpool

The Gameweek rolls on with a showpiece fixture at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Liverpool in the tea-time encounter with a host of Fantasy talent on show.

On paper, this could be a tight and cagey affair but Arsenal’s injuries at the back may just prompt both sides to go on the offensive.

Certainly Jurgen Klopp has named an attacking line-up, spearheaded by Roberto Firmino and supported by new signing Sadio Mane and the guile of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.

That quartet with surely stretch the Gunners backline with Wenger forced to start with a pairing of Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding.

Wenger will look to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to provide a response at the other end, with Aaron Ramsey set to start in the number ten role in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Truly fantastic finish by lallana. What a turn of performance by him in this game. Walcott-ish.

Paid £32m for him, very good at defending and breaking up play.

Played a lot of preseason and he doesn't start in arguably one of the biggest fixtures of the season

Whilst Firmino hasn't scored the way Liverpool are playing bodes well. Having at least one of their midfielders is essential imo.

Pool are just dangerous. They have a lot of talent. Give them a chance, and they can score....even if they're being outplayed.

Lacazette scored a hat-trick this afternoon though, he goes okay!

With hindsight I'm not sure why I went for Firmino over Coutinho. Hes been largely annonymous whilst Coutinho is now running the show

The kit man really screwed up on the Liverpool shirts. The PL badge is damn near sideways.
