The Gameweek rolls on with a showpiece fixture at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Liverpool in the tea-time encounter with a host of Fantasy talent on show.

On paper, this could be a tight and cagey affair but Arsenal’s injuries at the back may just prompt both sides to go on the offensive.

Certainly Jurgen Klopp has named an attacking line-up, spearheaded by Roberto Firmino and supported by new signing Sadio Mane and the guile of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.

That quartet with surely stretch the Gunners backline with Wenger forced to start with a pairing of Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding.

Wenger will look to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to provide a response at the other end, with Aaron Ramsey set to start in the number ten role in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Anyone even worth a transfer?

    Cortois
    Amat, Shaw, Walker, Evans
    Alli, Hazard, Redmond,
    Gray, Vardy, Aguero.

    Subs: Jaku, Stones, Townsend, Capoue.

Only one id consider is vardy > Kane as have 1.0itb

No. Just watching MOTD now, having watched the Liverpool game. From the highlights every one of those players looked like performed well enough to keep a place in my team. Friend was very attacking, almost got himself in the goals, Deulofeu still playing as striker, Gray looked really threatening, Tadic was awesome and Firmino unlucky not to get something himself - he'll share goals but will score soon. I'm swapping Tadic to Ayew but only because I have Redmond and don';t fancy his chances next week. I may well get him back.

I can see why most of us are looking to buy a Liverpool mid but here is one stat worth reminding of.

Burnley at home against the top sides: (2014/15 PL season)

    Burnley 1-3 Chelsea
    Burnley 0-0 Man United
    Burnley 0-1 Liverpool
    Burnley 1-0 Man City
    Burnley 0-1 Arsenal

Bear in mind this was against a free-scoring Chelsea side that were in great form on the opening day of the 2014/15 season. Enough evidence here to suggest that Burnley will do their utmost to keep things tight.

I had a really silly question in mind unrelated to FantasyFootball:

Scotland, England, Wales, and Northen Ireland comprise of The UK.

Each of them are seperate Countires...so why do they treat GB as a single country?
And what is UK? It cannot be a country as it is an amalgamation of countries and it cannot be a continent as it is part of Europe.

        1. Concrete
          10 years, 2 months ago

In football it's to do with the birth of the game and the EFA and SFA being independent. The two countries played against each other and then devised the home countries thing before a world governing body was introduced, by which time the FAs were too powerful/ independent to want to change into one team

Even now the home country FAs have more votes and power over FIFA with regards to the game

Right, I've just checked and there's different ways of looking at it. Most definitive answer I can find is that the UK is a kingdom made up of four 'constituent' countries. Let's go with that.

    5. Wrong Captain Choice - Ag i…
      10 years, 2 months ago

England, Wales and NI are not actually countries in the proper sense at all.
in other words they are not sovereign states,But the UK is a sovereign state.
A more correct term for them would be large provinces of the UK, which before deregulation meant that they were entirely ruled by an English parliament.

However the British invented the term "constituent country" to pretend that they are countries.

    Foster (Jaku)
    Valencia, Stones, Kone (Amat, Friend)
    Firmino, Oscar, Lamela, Redmond (Capoue)
    Aguero, Ibra, Vardy

Bit worried about Vardy price drop
Probably should save FT, unless Oscar is a disaster, right?

Vardy on -10 on FPL stats so shouldn't be dropping, although I'm unsure whether it is accurate

Will this be one of those seasons where no matter which liverpool mid you go for you will always want one of the others?

It will be maddening. Their attack is all full of the same players. How do you pick one?

I think you could be right. Own none at the moment, not sure which one to get.

Mert and Gabriel are out for a while so defence will still be weak

I'd say Redmond and hold but not the ideal fixture for it.

Tadic looked great, he's a season keeper. Barkley and Coutinho will be in fits and bursts like usual. Id get Redmond is as well.

Tadic played really well. I currently have both him and Redmond and am reluctantly shipping to get Ayew due to fixtures, however he looked brilliant.

I don't even need to use or want to use the WC but 'play wildcard' on the red block background sure is enticing - you nearly had to go look for it previously.
