Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Liverpool

The Gameweek rolls on with a showpiece fixture at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Liverpool in the tea-time encounter with a host of Fantasy talent on show.

On paper, this could be a tight and cagey affair but Arsenal’s injuries at the back may just prompt both sides to go on the offensive.

Certainly Jurgen Klopp has named an attacking line-up, spearheaded by Roberto Firmino and supported by new signing Sadio Mane and the guile of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.

That quartet with surely stretch the Gunners backline with Wenger forced to start with a pairing of Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding.

Wenger will look to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to provide a response at the other end, with Aaron Ramsey set to start in the number ten role in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

                Generally speaking you need to finish inside top 5k to win it. I've done that twice and not won it. So its not that soft.
                Im sure i'll get it together one year.

                  Probably Doozatelli in his prime and me blocked you 2 years ago when you were in a strong position but gifted me points I recall.
                  But Both obstacles have been removed now. The most in there fall asleep at the wheel but that's my fault too.

      I'd like to give him another week if it looks like he'll start the next game. I'm not sure if that'll happen though, with him being subbed off early, Lukaku coming back, and Bolasie looking on the verge of joining Everton.

      I have 0.5 in the bank, so I if I get rid it may be for Lamela.

              I wont lose 0.1 on anyone early doors and a decent start has given me a bit of cover from this across my squad.

              I think there is potential value in Rooney but I want to see how Costa does tomorrow. I think i'll sit down and watch the game to get as much info as possible.

              He has a run of three or four real favourable fixtures.

      Agreed. Leicester and the Jamie Vardy party seem to function well once they have something to prove.

      Tadic to Barkley perhaps. Don't think you need two Soton mids, or two Liverpool mids for that matter. Ayew is another option.

      Dude just hold for now. It's that kind of time between GW1-2 that everything (form; bandwagons) are up in the air, so I'd be cautious and stick. You'll have 2 FTs in GW3 to play with and react, and if that goes wrong you can always WC in the international break (like many, such as me, have planned to)

    Weird question:

      Why exactly would you sell Van Dijk or Morgan? Have I missed the injury news? Certainly they're not dropped.

      For me there only seems to be a reason why Mandanda and Silva would not score as much as you'd expect.

      If you have a playing GK, then avoid the GK transfer unless there's a rotation pair you really really ridiculously want. Mandanda will probably begin to start soon and those 4.5 on your GK bench won't make much difference.

      Silva, instead is expensive, so if he's unlikely to score well because of his field position, that's an urgent problem.

    Seeing people talking about selling gray, Townsend alli etc already! Utter maddens to get rid of a sure starter (and good pick) because he was out scored by an alternative over one week. As long as you're 11 are all going to play then just stick it out for one more week. We will all know so much more come the end of next week. NOBODY is essential after one week....
