After taking a look at the main goal threat from Fantasy Premier League defenders priced at 5.0 and under earlier in the week, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling high up on our shopping lists after bagging double-figure hauls in Gameweek 3, the need for value in midfield is vital.
This time around, then, we look at the leading contenders in the sub-8.0 bracket over the first three rounds of fixtures.
AlreadyInMyTeamukaku
Bet you're looking forward to seeing your GW rank tonight 😀
Lukaku goal
2-0
Heaton Foster
Valencia Stones Williams Evans Amat
Hazard Ozil Lallana Antonio Capoue
Ibra Costa Bony
Rate my WC team please.
Lallana,Ibra -> Costa, Snoddy or such like when I get Kun back....
Defence too heavy?
** Lallana,Ibra -> Kun, Snoddy
Yep. Lallana is far from nailed medium term though imo
I think PVA is a better pick than Stones for now. Check fixtures, members starts.
Maybe make Heaton into Pickford and raise funds to upgrade Lallana to Lamela/Barkley.
Rest is good.
Thanks. Will check it out.
🙂
I would have kaku over Costa though. Just
Lukaku
Hmmmm.....
.........
Is an 8 point hit too much considering I am top of my ML and could use my WC
I am second in ml and have taken a -8. But kind of regretting it
Bulgaria goal 🙁
Luka(k)u locked in.
He said the goals will come when hes fit
(k)?
...for kaptain?
kaku
On my WC (maybe a bit rash, but anyway)
New to this, so please comment and suggest adjustments
Foster (jaku)
shaw, morgan, williams (amat, mcauley)
hazard, sanches, sterling, bolasie (capoue)
ibra, lukaku, negredo
Will think out something to get Aguero back when his ban is over.....
Jaku not nailed for Hull now so maybe replace with Pickford,
Otherwise looks good
Looks good!
Sneijder goal
Old guys still rock
lol @ non Lukaku owners
Lukaku is messing with my plan, reconsidering now.
A) Lukaku + Snodgrass/Redmond
B) Benteke/Defoe + Antonio
Surely B is the better pick, right?
I would have agreed with you an hour ago, now not so sure 🙁 Lukaku on 2 for Belgium!!!
Finally a good cross by Janmaat and Schneider scores 1-1
Lukaku should have an assist but Vertonghen hits a legside 6.
Lukakuuuuu
Everybody loves a poll. Better yet when it's a straight forward 3 v 3.
A) Sterling, Benteke and Heaton
B) Lamela, Lukaku and Pickford
* My 2nd GK is Foster *
A by a mile
On what basis?
Because Sterling is better than Lamela, Benteke is better than Lukaku and Pickford will lose his place
Lukaku > Benteke easily for me. I don't fancy Sterling too much myself and Pickford has his place for 3 months +
A edges it for me but wouldn't say it's that easy.

Lukau (c) in MNF?
*(k)
Very tempting.
Shaw listed as questionable. Hope he plays.
Evening,
Ozil or Payet?
Both great picks but what about Sanchez Antonio? :p
Ha, can't afford Sanchez unfortunately
Depends on rest of squad...
Nah, it doesn't really.. Have no Hammers or Gooners if you want to know that
Exactly what i wanted to know!! I've gone Payet but then i do have Sanchez. Payet i think will outscore Ozil next couple and will prove a decent differential in doing so. Also i chose him as i lost my main diff of Sanchez what with the Kun ban and everyone jumping on the Alexis wagon!!
Cheers, safe option: Ozil. Want some Arsenal in there but a nice differential will defo be Payet
Will he start though, did he come off the bench tonight?
Is the idea of a GW6 WC that would you do it early to get price rises? How many international breaks do we get before January? Cheers
Next international break is after GW7.
Cheers. Wondering when is a good time to WC. Is playing it by ear the best way before Jan?
Same question here about Int. Breaks, I'm planning on WCing before GW 6 to get Kun back.
I think the idea of a GW6 is to get Kun back, plus the plum fixtures for Pool, Stoke, Watford and a few others might result in a desire to overhaul your side.
Cheers
If Thierry Henry was in FPL he'd be a points magnet.
Any other players from back in the day?
He was in FPL.
Gerrard. Lampard. Ronaldo. Fabregas.
Used to be the power 4 in mid.
Lamps 😀
He's 39 and he's been retired for two years . I think he would struggle tbh
Suarez's last season was fairly perfect .
Ronaldo. Berkhamp. Ruud. Giggs. Shearer. Pires
Ted Drake
He posts on here sometimes as Advice Mallard
Denis Irwin would have been an absolute weapon
Pens Free kicks and clean sheets galore
Leighton Baines on steroids
It was a long time before they gave him penalties.
Great shout. Plus hardly missed a game.
David Unsworth 🙂
matt le tiss
Great shout
Van Nistlerooy, Tim Cahill
Ronaldo, Lampard, Fàbregas, Gerrard, Fellaini, T.Cahill, Michu, Zaki, Austin, Nolan, Ireland ....etc.
Beardsley & Barnes
Frank LeBoeuf, Benito Carbone,
Thoughts on this WC team?
Heaton-Foster
Shaw-Williams-Evans-Collins-Amat
Hazard-Sanchez-Sterling-Countinho-Capoue
Lukaku-Ibra-Diomande
You could make Diomande into Benteke and Coutinho imto Januzaj.
Could be a good move. Not sure tho, Alan Pardew has Palace as a shambles for the last 10 or so PL games going back to last season. Do ya not like the look of Liverpool?
Sanchez to Ozil,
Upgrade Dio
Seen this before, more of a 4-4-2. It's okay but the Kun buy-back? You have to mention that because he's a key player in this game.
Plenty of ways to get Aggy back. Ibra to aggy and Lukaku to Benteke, Or sanchez to ozil and ibra to aggy.
Pens awarded by GW3:
16/17 - 13
15/16 - 6
14/15 - 5
13/14 - 9
Wow! Cheers..
Interesting. Pen takers value has just increased even further
😯 . Mike Dean watch ftw 😎
sssssshhhhhhh
List of pen takers
Cazorla
Hazard
Benteke
Baines
Ibra
Defoe
Is Rondon a pen taker?
Yes he is
West Brom are hardly ever in the opposition's penalty box.
Chadli will change that 😉
Check the stat's @CPL mate, BOU are will be similar. imho
Or you look at this 😉
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/premiership-set-piece-takers/
casual 😉
But after these ruddy losers WR?
Berahino, Morrison, Gardner
Dunno, but we'll find out?
Ozil eyes!
For last 10 years, the total number of penalties has fluctuated between 82 and 106, average and median both around 90. Any given short period can represent that badly. For example, 13/14 only had 4 penalties more than 14/15 in total. Exactly the number of penalties there was more in the first 3 GW's. If the first 3 GW's would have set the trend, 13/14 would have seen 51 more penalties than 14/15. In fact, 14/15 ended up having 4 penalties less than 15/16 despite outscoring it by 3 in first 3 GW.
Here numbers, first the prediction _if_ first 3 rounds would have set the trend and in brackets the real number.
13/14 114 (87)
14/15 63 (84)
15/16 76 (91)
16/17 165 (nowhere near 165)
So, the differences have evened up over the season, the first 3 GW's have had no predictive value whatsoever, and there is no reason to expect there will be 165 penalties this season. It will probably end up reasonably close to 90.
...unless the refs have been instructed to call more penalties. In that case, that instruction would be the really interesting fact.
I know that Ozil is 95% on fplstatistics, but will he rise with that?
The last 5 can go fast
Probably not, but it is possible
No.
Judging from how this week has gone, no
Not yet, but he will before the end of the week.
Cheers all
Just a warning that Lukakus 2 goals were rebounds from close range vs Cyprus (Not saying he's a bad pick before everyone gets super offended)
So you're saying his reaction speeds are on point? Lukaku in!!
Are you trying to say he's a bad pick or something? Your opinion I suppose.
No he is saying not to get too carried away by the fact that he scored a brace . A lot of people would just look at the score line and assume Lukaku played a blinder . It's a good point .
Yeah it was sarcasm because he said "(Not saying he's a bad pick before everyone gets super offended)"
Too late 😡
Hhhm seems like more members only articles this year...
@WHUFC_News 10h10 hours ago
Antonio: “No one runs at players like I do, or gets to the back stick and overpowers a defender.”
Gwan Antonio lad
Antonio: “I went from struggling to get into the first team to being one of the first names on the team-sheet.” ⚒
Sounds like a cocky little bar steward. I love it.
Antonio: "I went from a desperate bench warmer to a smug a**hole".
I doubt he's one of the first names in team sheet when everybody is fit.
Don't make me fall in love with you Antonio
I was first name on Sams England squad sheet
Liking my team quite a lot:
Heaton / Robinson
Valencia / Williams / Kone / Evans / Amat
Sanchez / Hazard / Antonio / Snodgrass / Capoue
Ibra / Lukaku / Benteke
2.0 itb
Thoughts?
Nice attack
Nice, if I was on a wildcard this is the team I would want..
Feel like copying this now actually haha
I would use the 2m to get Mane for Antonio (just cos I'm an LFC fan though)
Plan is to get him in for Sanchez GW6
I'm liking it too, especially that forward line.
Just wondering why do you have 2.0m itb?
Obviously to get Aguero back but couldn't you just you 2 Free Transfers or use a third (-4). Wouldn't it strenghten your already great team more? Just wondering.
I think I'm going to do Sanchez to Mane and Lukaku to Aguero for free.
Ah ok that makes sense, sorry.
Best option?
A. Sanchez and Lukaku/9.5 striker
B. Ozil and Kane/Costa
A
Janmaat bombing forward for Holland against Sweden. One assist and several shots. If he play wingback in 3-5-2 at Watford I will get him for sure!
*Adds to watchlist*
