After taking a look at the main goal threat from Fantasy Premier League defenders priced at 5.0 and under earlier in the week, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling high up on our shopping lists after bagging double-figure hauls in Gameweek 3, the need for value in midfield is vital.
This time around, then, we look at the leading contenders in the sub-8.0 bracket over the first three rounds of fixtures.
Evening all!
Rondon or Benteke?
Ozil or sanchez?
Thanks!
Benteke and Sanchez
Benteke
The question is Sanchez or Ozil +1.5. That depends on your team. Can't be
looked at in isolation.
Currently on WC due to the whole Aguero situation... Just wondering who to keep when i get him back, cant have him and sanchez!
Foster, heaton
Valencia, McAuley, Smith, Amat, Pieters
Hazard, Sanchez, Antonio, Snograss, Capoue
Ibra, Lukaku, Benteke
Is there a best playing striker for up to £5m or is it just wishful thinking at this point?
Diamanté
Over Stauni? Word is that Mbokani will take Dio's place
Diomande is better.
Lol, you fail 😀
Rf to myself 🙄 Time for bed
? Diamande
3rd time lucky?
See above 🙂
This ^ my eyes are on barrow gets at least over 60 mins every game almost full 90 actually but with Baston & Llorente that rules him of permanent starts Stauni or Hal Robson Kanu are the best bargains at the minute.
I really dont think mbokani will replace Diomande
don't go there.
Better to double up on?
A) Hazard and Costa
B) Lukaku and Barkley
To transfer in or to buy? Bit of a difference in price
Definitely option C
Scoutcast tonight. 🙂
CAN'T WAIT.....
Lol good man
Looking forward to seeing who's playing their wildcard tonight
Switzerland 1 Portugal 0
You watching the game?
Yeah
How was that not a penalty for portugal after the kick by Schar onto the hand of Djourou?
I want to know how Lichtensteiner blamed Djouru for that
Hey guys does this sound normal...
I had 1 FT but have made 4 changes since the last GW without activating my WC.
(I full intend to activate it I'm just waiting until last minute).
However I currently have a points cost of 0 instead of the -12 have been deducted.
My WC button tells me I can't activate it yet as I haven't made enough transfers to deduct points ?!
So obviously when I do the rest of my changes I can probably just activate the WC then but I'm wondering what I'm missing - if I leave it as is have I got away with 4 FTs because of some kind of bug or are the points hidden for some other reason?
Ta
the option for the WC should light up when you do your next transfer. Dont think the points cost shows up until the GW starts (probably wrong though). Though id imagine the points costs dont stack up if you're doing individual transfers i.e. 1 today, 1 tomorrow etc, probably will just say it will be for -4 every time rather than -12 in total
Definately havent gotten 4 freebies :p
I thought the GW starts when the last one ends?
I see your point - maybe that 0 cost resets after every transfer - but that means there's no way of tracking how many minus points you're on if you don't want to wildcard :S
The -12 are already booked. Once you make another transfer the WC button will be available to activate
Is that because you need to be at -15 in order to activate? Even so why isn't my -12pts showing up yet? Just seems a bit misleading.
If you don't press WC, it means hits.
How many more internationals are there left to play? I thought some South American teams were playing midweek, but I can't seem to find the fixtures.
Tomorrow night I think
From midnight UK time
Thanks very much. Hope Ozil doesn't rise tonight then
Who to pick for 2 weeks for WC team till Kun returns? (Kelchi is a two week punt too)
My WC squad right now:
Foster
Bailly Mashauku Morgan
Hazard (C) Ozil Antonio Lamela
Ibra Ineanacho
Bench:Pickford,Capoue,Amat & Love
A) Costa
B) Lukaku
C) Rooney
No hits this year he said. Five already!
I need to have a gap year
You silly conte.
Can't help it. Hit addict!
I'm trying my best to go hitless 🙂
Lukaku finally scores. New owners must be as high as a kite.
His run begins here
status quo for Lolkaku owners
On a wildcard and would be grateful for some reviews of this team
Foster (Jakupovic)
Valencia Walker Williams (Collins Amat)
Hazard Ozil Barkley Antonio Firmino
Ibra Benteke (Diomande)
Aguero returns with Capoue for Ozil + Benteke
WC: Heaton - Pickford
Shaw - Williams - Evans - Souare - Amat
Hazard - Firmino - Sterling - Ozil - Capoue
Ibra - Benteke - Bony
Ibra + Ster -> Kun + Antonio in two weeks. 0.5 ITB.
Good to go? Or any changes needed?
Surprised you have no W'ham. Go for Lanzini/ Antonio instead of Firmino from the off? Looks good otherwise
Want to see how they build up with new players first. Will have a WH-player when Kun`s back. Might go Masuaku over Williams though.
Hmm, this article now has me thinking
Antonio v Lallana
Barkley v Sterling
Snoddy v Capoue.
Antonio, Sterling, Snoddy
What I'm currently on. 🙂
Wouldnt mind Lallana and will probably bring Capoue in with Snoddy to get Aguero back.
Barkley, Sterling and Capoue although I am a bit scared of going without Antonio with his favourable fixtures...
Sanchez or ozil.....still confused over this two....wid stats when sanchez is around ozil is shadowed...and sancezcan be easily downgrade to any midfield...
Ye.....tru. Hecan
Everyone will gibe you their personal preference. Both good options. Pick one that suits your team. Sanchez or Ozil + 1.5M to improve the rest of your team. Only you can decide. Everyone else will just say whom they prefer.
Rashford Hatty... worth a risk?
If he retains a starting role, he looks to be an interesting alternative.
Personally I think he's almost certain to start given Mourinho's comments after the last match.
in place of who?
Mata
Cheers. I'd drink to that. Pushes Rooney further back, won't it?
I don't even want to discuss Rooney anymore hopefully he can pass Sir Bobbys record asap and then sod off and go lie on a beach somewhere
LOL
Allardyce quotes were priceless and pitiful on the subject matter.
Oh well. At least we'll always have the memories of his promise in his youth to fall back and pretend is still his potential.
Pathetic
He was frighteningly good in his younger years and a world class player for many a year but he wouldn't look out of place in the amateur league these days and that isn't even an exaggeration
Mata.
Rooney slightly further back.
Will be 1-0 Ibra goal
A. Benteke + 4.4 mid
B. Bony + Rodwell
A
B. I am assuming it is your 5th mid. Consider Remy as well.
Of course. Remy nailed on? Could be gold at that price but read that he could be eased in
They need to score. He will start IMO. I am waiting for the pressers though before getting him in.
Cheers. Will do the same 🙂
Heaton - Pickford
Valencia - Baines - PVA - Evans - Amat
Sanchez - Hazard - Mane - Antonio - Capoue
Ibrahimovic - Benteke - Defoe
I'm 0.4 short of this team. Sterling and Costa will probably rise 0.1 before next GW, so I'll probably be 0.2 short. How to find the 0.2 for this team?
A) PVA>4.5
B) Mane>Firmino
C) 2 of these: Evans>Pieters, Capoue>Fletcher & Benteke>Bony
D) Capoue>De Roon
A
A PVA to Kone?
I really like PVA and his attacking potential, he is on some corners as well, but it is the sensible move to replace him with Kone or Holebas I think.
downgrading your premium midfielder for Aguero is going to be hard. Especially if he does well. Im leaving funds for a direct swap
Which transfer is better at this stage?
A) Gray and Kun --> Zaza and
Lukaku
B) Kun and Redmond --> Zaza and Sanchez
2-0 Switzerland
Any PL players playing?
Cheers.
Xhaka
*A garbled trumpet announces a draft league for the 2nd international break*
*NOT an FPL thing*
The draft is a "slow draft" on Fantrax. There are 9 hours on the draft clock per pick. The idea is not for people to use the whole clock but to allow for global participation and allow people to sleep and work without stressing about being in the draft room every waking minute. It takes about 10 days during the 2nd international break, starts October 2.
11 players are drafted by each team. You start 7 players with a bench of 4 each week.
1 GK
2 to 4 defenders
1 to 3 mids
0 to 2 strikers
You have to stay on top of "free agent" players and make claims and drops (of current players) to keep your squad fresh, deal with injuries, etc.
You also can trade players with other managers in the league.
It is a 20 team division. Top 3 or more teams are promoted to division 2 (as we have some drop outs from the upper divisions, more managers from division 3 get promoted).
Some people like the draft format and some hate it.
A primary rule of the league is that your team name needs to be injury related to go with the league name theme (Knocks & Niggles) and then put your FFS name in parentheses so folks know who you are. So examples are:
Balotelli's Grass Allergy (Milanista)
Injured For Eva (Balders)
No Return Date (HeelsOverHead)
Strained Groins (Pundit of Punts)
Torn ACL (TM245)
If you're interested, there are openings in our 3rd division. Each division is 20 teams and there are promotions/relegations.

Did Shaqiri make the starting line up?....or bench even?....
According to livescore, he didnt dress
I thought so.
Just looked at a predicted line up that said they predicted him to start. I wasn't even sure if he'd travelled....had he?
Injured
The Word is, he'll be out for 4-6 weeks. Nothing official though. My source, Ben Dinnery.
🙁
You are on the internet so go and have a look yourself!
Fifa 17 Career Mode enthusists, which club will you manage first?
I love career mode 🙂
I'm thinking maybe West Ham..new stadium and a financial takeover from the catalogue.
Nice one mate! That's a good shout going for the Hammers. Can't wait for it.
I went to Hammers last season just for Payet and it was awesome. Ended up buying Mahrez before he exploded in reality. Stayed for 3 years before they bunted me for not making CL. Was so much fun.
Adrian
Carl Jenkinson - Reid - Ogbonna - Cresswell/Targett
Noble - Kouyate
Mahrez/Antonio - Lanzini - Payet
Carroll/Defoe/Gyan
Think I'll start with a club like Everton/West Ham/Southampton first and get used to new features (although there are not many 🙁 )
I might go for Leicester and see how the next chapter goes.
Good shout, I am definetely doing that but later in the year, need to get used to gameplay first of all!
I was struggling with World Class CPU 😆
Start with Bayern. Sell everyone to funny places.
Select whatever club that takes you
That's how you make a game realistic
I'll be taking some Football League 2 team up to the PL
Can't wait.
Always start with Chelsea.
love to play with a weaker Prem team and get a job for a top 4 team
On wildcard...
Jaku
Mcauley stones Valencia
Sanchez lamela hazard Antonio
Ibra costa stuani
Bank 2.0
Bench- foster capoue amat holgate
Antonio/lamela +costa change to kun and snoddy or pucheon.,, wht say
jaku + holgate is not nailed
and lamela maybe rest not sure
hi folks
who and how many player that u wont transfer out? (if no ban + inj)
for me hazard , kun and ibra = 3
On WC,
Heaton/Pickford
Evans/Vanelcia/Williams/Matsuaku/Amat
Alexis/Haz/Sterling/Lamela/Capoue
Ibra/Benteke/Dofoe
Should I replace Lamela to Antonio? if not who else?
Should I upgrade to Benteke to Lukaku then drop Lamela to Gaston?
Thanks.
Very similar to mine. I have gone with Antonio instead of Lamela, much more goal threat (I'm a spurs fan).
I would also recommend Baines>Williams if you can afford it. Downgrade Masuaku if you have to.
Lamela maybe rest
i will go with barkley or lukaku
Hi all,
I would greatly appreciate some feedback on what to do.. I"m thinking of the WC this week but not sure..
This is my team:
De Gea (Jakupovic)
Valencia, Kone, Shaw, Evans, (Friend)
Mahrez, Hazard, Lamela, Alli, (Fletcher)
Hernandez, Aguero, (Wickham)
If I go WC, who should I keep?
If I don't, what moves do you recommend I make?
Thanks!
Go WC for sure
keep valencia, evans, hazard
Would you transfer Özil for Mahrez for -4 as it seems he'll drop in price tonight?
Thanks
for -4 no
if free yes
Yea then transfer back to Mahrez for minus 8
Hazard made a great run almost assisting Lukaku.
RMT PLEASE. On wc
Heaton(pickford)
Valencia/Collins/Baines (Amat/Evans)
Sterling/Lamela/Hazard/Antonio (Capoue)
Ibra/Benteke/Costa
Any changes you will do? any thoughts will be appreciate
