Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Leicester

Saturdays’s events conclude at Anfield when Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will host champions Leicester City.

The big teamsheet news is that Klopp has made the decision to keep Philippe Coutinho on the bench, despite flying him back early from international duty with Brazil. That allows Daniel Sturridge to earn a second start of the season, whilst Lucas has to come into to central defence with Dejan Lovren ruled out with an injury sustained in training.

Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City are unchanged as they bid to build on their 2-1 win over Swansea City in Gameweek 3. There’s no place on the bench for new signing Islam Slimani.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Personaly I wouldn't double up on Liverpool midfield. Would get in either payet or cazorla for one of them. Considering it was payets 1st game back for west ham since injury I thought he looked really good plus west ham fixture list looking good.
      Also not sure about lukaku but he could prove me wrong, as you have barkley & Williams that is enough Everton cover for their good fixtures

      Granny, I learnt my lesson after GW3 mate. Capoue started for me today and will do from henceforth.

      This is great because I can get a cheap 5th mid and have 3 big hitters.

      Capoue also opens up the possibility of playing 3-5-2 and having a cheap 3rd striker on the bench. Gray looks like he's not going to be the answer for a cheap 3rd striker.

    Redmond > Zaha while he's 5.4 would let me afford Rondon > Aguero. Would mean a double up on Palace as I have Benteke. Is it too early to jump on Zaha, or is a double-up on Palace while they have the fixtures a decent play}?

      I'd hold and ride out the 0.1 drop.

      Stoke have better fixtures than WB coming up and Pieters could always get some attacking points despite their terrible defending thus far.

      Not sure a WB double up and transfer burned is worth it considering the upcoming fixtures.

      If Pieters looks like dropping again then maybe get rid before the second drop, otherwise hold as his fixtures get much, much better.

      Otherwise Kone at Sunderland is another good option if you must burn a transfer.

    Its mad that I didn't consider playing Capoue. Valencia and Friend sat on 1 point with Dimande on 2, all started. He's getting played in every one of their good gameweeks as of today. That is 32 points benched from one player after only four weeks. The third could have been avoided.
