The Dugout Discussion – Chelsea vs Leicester City

Gameweek 8 gets underway at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea entertain defending champions Leicester at lunchtime.

The Blues will be looking to Diego Costa to continue the form that’s served up a goal or assist in six of the first seven Gameweeks and helped him to the top of the FPL forward standings.

Costa remains just one booking shy of a single-match ban, though, with his owners hoping he can remain on the referee’s good side against the Foxes.

Antonio Conte makes just one alteration today, with Willian replaced by Pedro in the front three.

Claudio Ranieri’s men arrive on the back of three straight losses on the road.

Indeed, although they have conceded just once at the King Power, Leicester boast the Premier League’s worst defensive record on the road and have already conceded 10 times in three away outings.

With one eye on the Champions League, the Foxes boss has shifted Riyad Mahrez to the bench in one of three changes, with Islam Slimani and Danny Simpson also dropping out to be replaced by Ahmed Musa, Jeffrey Schlupp and Luis Hernandez.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Against United, Ranieri subbed Vardy and Mahrez at HT. Who's he gonna sub today?

Not even a semblance of a desire to defend the title. Looks like UCL progression and the money it offers are the main motivation this season

Think that's a little cynical. Leicester need to take full advantage of CL football. Not half arse it. They aren't gotta win the league again even if they tried.

Forget trying to win the EPL this year, they should at least make a fight of it. All the big games are treated as an inconvenience
