Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Hull City

The Gameweek begins at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal host Hull City with thousands of Fantasy Premier League armbands placed on Alexis Sanchez.

Owned by 35.3% of FPL managers and topping our Gameweek Captain Poll, the Chilean is handed the central striker role once again for the Gunners, having produced either a goal or an assist in ten of his last twelve Gameweeks.

However, Sanchez has provided just one double-digit return since his staggering 23-point haul at West Ham and he last scored big at the Emirates back in Gameweek 13 against Bournemouth.

His legion of backers will look for that trend to change in today’s outing, against a Hull City rearguard that arrives in North London on the back of successive clean sheets against Manchester United and Liverpool.

The scene is set for a classic attack vs defence encounter, with all eyes on Sanchez throughout.

        I dont understand why the late penalty goal changes the decision?

        We have a squad of 15 and can afford to bench through the blanks. Just keep Sanchez on the bench and save the transfers needed to take him out, and bring him back in, later. Sanchez has 38 points more than his closest competitor currently. Take out less effective options instead.

      easy buy back in 29 if you are careful with the funds. selling at 11.3, buyback probably around that price. could be even lower, perhaps.

    Same with that late penalty they got against Burnley. I guess the story is no matter how bad Sanchez is, he'll be awarded points.

      True. But Arsenal (even when playing a bad 2nd half) are always hungry for the extra goal which has been a great benefit for Sanchez. United are completely different.

      Ibra needs to be on it today. Man Utd have been lazy recently - should have put 6 or 7 past Leicester for example. Shame no-one is reminding Ibra that there is a golden boot to win and that these sides are the ones to get the goals against and build up a lead.
