Matt Phillips remains sidelined for West Brom’s trip to Everton, while Winston Reid and Jose Fonte are expected to be fit for West Ham’s visit to Bournemouth. Eddie Howe will make a late decision on Simon Francis but Kyle Naughton misses out for Swansea City’s clash against Hull City.

Tony Pulis revealed this morning that Matt Phillips has failed to recover from a hamstring injury in time to face Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow. The West Brom head coach also intimated, without naming names, that one or two players might be in need of a “little rest.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is available again for Everton’s home clash against West Bromwich Albion, but Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie remain out for the Toffees.

A late decision is expected to be made on the fitness of Bournemouth captain Simon Francis, who has missed the Cherries’ last two matches due to a hamstring injury. Bournemouth will be without the suspended Tyrone Mings and Andrew Surman for the home fixture against West Ham United, while Junior Stanislas looks set to remain with a groin injury.

Winston Reid and Jose Fonte are expected to be available for West Ham United’s trip to Bournemouth, while Michail Antonio is back in contention after missing the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea due to suspension. Andy Carroll and Robert Snodgrass suffered cuts during Monday night’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, but they are set to be available.

Kyle Naughton has been ruled out for the trip to face Hull City, but Ki Sung-yeung and Jefferson Montero have returned to full training, and could be involved at the KCOM Stadium.

Roberto Firmino is a doubt for Liverpool’s clash with Burnley, with Jurgen Klopp confirming that the Brazilian is set to be assessed. Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge remain out for Sunday’s match.

There are also four FA Cup quarter-finals over the next three days, with Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough and Tottenham Hotspur all in action.

Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi are both doubts for Arsenal’s home tie against non-league Lincoln City due to illness, while Arsene Wenger revealed he hasn’t decided whether Mesut Ozil will be involved, with the German midfielder having only just recovered from a sickness bug himself.

Calum Chambers and Daniel Ayala will both miss tomorrow’s quarter-final against Manchester City, while George Friend is also expected to be sidelined due to a recurrence of a calf problem.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Looking for a one week striker punt. Options are limited and many suggesting Carrol if one week and Llorente for longer term – But what about Gray?

Arguably better stats than the other two, and he did score and assist in the opposite fixture earlier this season.

    Thoughts?

Apart from Lukaku, all strikers are pretty poor options this week as a one week punt. Go with your gut - Gray could be a good differential 🙂

Agreed. They are all much of a muchness this week. The only reason I'd consider Carroll is to have some cover for the bournemouth game, but I don't feel confident about that at all, or Antonio over a pool mid – Antonio hasn't scored since GW 18. Due I suppose.

  11. McSlu

    9 years, 4 months ago

    A bit confused here...

Whay all this fuzz about Pool mids? Some are even tripling up with mane, cout and firm? For up to a -12? For this GW perfect, but they have have City and Everton the next two? I for one would much rather have Spurs, Chelsea players in these next two GWs. For GW 31 the fixtures turn to the better, so then it makes sense to maybe double up.

What is it that I don't get?

U take massive hits for one good GW, then you have to take another load of hits to sort out your team for GW 29 and 30? Strange....

Obviously, I want as many players as possible but without sacrificing the long term health of the squad. Same as most obviously. I don't have any FTs and only have 6 players... not good.

    Foster
    Funes Mori/ ____/ ____
    King/ Siggy/ Fletcher/ ____
    Lukaku/ __/ ___

    Bench of:

    Pick
    Walker/Alonso/ Pieters/ Amat
    Sanchez/ Stan/
    Aguero/Costa

The obviouys candidates for freshening are Amat (to Mawson) and Stan (to T Davies).

Not the exciting, will cost -8 but will give me 8 players and 2 people that actually play moving forwards... worth it?

I'm having a bit of a problem with getting 11 players this week. I really want to ditch Ibra and Sterling for Kane and Pedro, so those two transfers will be the ones for next week, but this week I need to do something different.

I've got Alonso, Eriksen, Grant, Amat, Sterling and Ibra not playing. I'm thinking perhaps I might sell Amat (as he doesn't play) and Sterling this week for a cheap defender who plays and a temporary midfielder.

    Any suggestions?

Anyone notice which Brom players looked a bit tired last weekend? Sounds like a couple are set to be rested.

Phillips defo tired from he treatment table. It has been a while... I think it could be Brunt- of course I own him.

Glad I sold Phillips earlier this week. At least I got his last "haul" and made a 0.1 profit, that's something I guess.

It's in inverted commas. I mean more than 2 points. 8 points is great for a sub 6milly player

So another what to do with Philpips question

    Fletcher, Firmino, Mane, Snodgrass, PHILLIPS
    Lukaku Llorenete

Who would you bring for him? I think it has to be Siggy, then next game week, snodgrass to Eriksen and Kun to Kane
