After a goalless draw at Anfield, there are five 3pm kick-offs to keep us ticking over.

Spurs, Man City and Chelsea all boast very favourable fixtures that could prove significant in the Gameweek 8 standings.

A visit from Bournemouth persuaded over 525,000 to acquire Harry Kane last week.

For the first time this season, the Tottenham frontman is the most captained player (31.4%) for the Gameweek after scoring twice in all but one of his last four league outings.

Yet to net at Wembley in the league, Kane has bagged three goals in his last two home meetings with the Cherries.

At the other side of the pitch, though, there’s bad news for Ben Davies owners – the top-scoring defender in FPL misses out today due to illness.

Pep Guardiola’s side boast a number of big-hitting options for the visit of Stoke.

Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane all start, while Sergio Aguero is deemed fit enough to warm the bench, with his manager perhaps having one eye on the midweek Champions League clash against Napoli.

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard makes his way to Crystal Palace on the back of a brace for Belgium over the recent internationals.

With the fixtures falling in his favour, Hazard has the chance to play his way into our plans for the foreseeable future.

Elsewhere, Burnley and West Ham go head-to-head at Turf Moor as the hosts look to continue their fine home record. One goal against in three at home has seen Stephen Ward claim over 232,000 new owners ahead of this one.

Swansea and Huddersfield go head-to-head in the final 3pm fixture.

As this is the first of four plum matches in six (HUD LEI BRI BOU), we’re looking for signs of value from the Welsh outfit, with the two-goal Tammy Abraham on our radars up front.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Kane is frustrating to own, why don't people lash him like they do to lukaku when he blanks

The bias here for him is unreal

      1. Pooodle
        9 years, 24 days ago

This. The number of times people say he’s essential and will definitely win the golden boot is insane.

        1. Cok3y5murf
          9 years, 24 days ago

There's a guy in my Community Watch team that's sitting in the top 2k and has not owned Kane and Salah from GW1 this season. No one is essential. He captained Jesus this week too.

          1. Pooodle
            9 years, 24 days ago

Completely agree that no one is essential - this year more than most with some many good options and injuries all over the place too.

This. Apparently scoring in 6 out of 8 games is somehow worse than scoring in 3 out of 8.

Unbelievable that people cling onto him and can’t even consider that he’s not the best pick in the game.

Because he's really good? No striker is going to score every week ffs.

      1. Pooodle
        9 years, 24 days ago

No but for 12.8m you want more than 3 gameweeks with goals out of 8!

        1. Sterling is £11Mill..…
          9 years, 24 days ago

you guys are deluded. Ok ditch Kane see where that gets you when he scores like 4 or five goals in one game

          1. Cok3y5murf
            9 years, 24 days ago

Lukaku did that too last season. Aguero is capable in this City team too.

            1. Pooodle
              9 years, 24 days ago

This. So is Jesus. And Morata could do as well.

How can it be deluded to say that 3 sets of returns in 8 gameweeks for 12.8m isn’t good enough?!

  6. The Royal Robin
    9 years, 24 days ago

I think we can all confirm, Spurs don't do Wembley. But to say Kane doesn't deserve his price tag, he does. I'd pay £13m just for his away form.

  7. Pratik

Can someone summarize the non knee-jerky view of the City-Stoke match? Do consider Aguero on the bench, who might start next time round.

Yup. He's dead to me if he isn't involved midweek.

  14. Pooodle
    9 years, 24 days ago

First lesson of the week. Do not buy into the hype on here that Kane is completely essential and no other player can keep up with him.

He’s a great pick and will do well over the season but at the minute his home stats are not lying - he’s a different animal at home than away. Only one big chance again. He can’t be trusted to be captained at home until Spurs in general turn it around.

    1. F4L
      9 years, 24 days ago

been saying that all year. Good pick, but not value for money

      1. Ravager
        9 years, 24 days ago

And lord knows it's a lot of money to spend on someone who's blanking every time he plays at 'home'

      2. Pooodle
        9 years, 24 days ago

I brought him in last week on wildcard just because of Aguero’s injury. The points were nice last week but blanks at home to Burnley, Swansea and Bournemouth is just not ok for that money.

    2. Cok3y5murf
      9 years, 24 days ago

If he blanks in a plum home fixture one more time, I'm selling him. Not even worth close to 12.5

PL always entertaining. Just came back fifteen minutes ago, to see ManC lead against stoke 6-2. When I logged in at FPL the biggest shock was Palace winning from Chelsea tho. Anyone watched that game instead? I'd like to know how Zaha (6.7) played. Looking for a Ramsey replacement . Are palace not an awful team anymore with him or did they get lucky? Also, how did Speroni do? Have him as my 2nd goalie, hopefully he can keep playing when hennessy is back.

Seeing my 8pt hit (Lukaku/Mkhi/Ritchie > Jesus/Silva/Sterling) come up trumps feels great. Seeing my vc sitting on Sterling as backup to Kane and his Wembley yips, less so.
