Moreno just scored a wonder goal and Liverpool will play 65+ games this season. Both TAA and Robertson will be rotated. TAA can play OOP and more chance to score and get assists. TAA may score more than Robertson in total at the end.

Nope. Moreno will be used more as a winger. He is only there as a) no buyer for the asking price and b) he is good mates with Firmino and he’s a key cog.

Plus, Liverpool want Sessegnon next season and have first dibs (part of last season’s Ojo loan agreement).

Shaw for first couple GWs or Sakho. Pereira could also be quite good later on

Not sure about Shaw and I have Wan-Bissaka so that rules out Sakho. Pereira could be good but maybe later down the line as you say.

I read he has rejected a new contract and Dyche doesn't really do rotation so it'll be interesting to see who gets the nod.

But Mee and Gibson are both left footers who prefer the same side of the back two. It’d be Talk and Gibson eventually.

Shaw for 2 weeks then have a look at who has emerged... some of the £4.5M defenders may be £4.7 at that point and killing it. Easy switch. That’s why I’m considering going DDG & Shaw double up for the first 2 weeks.

    Advice please guys.

Have 0.5 in the bank. Idea is to upgrade Pedro to Mhki once rotation and Arsenal’s easy games come in. To enable this, I’ve downgraded Zaha to King.

What’s the best move? Lots of options at 6.5 and below to switch Pedro out. Is an Arsenal midfielder that important for King over Zaha?

Are there any differently-priced players from one team that you thought should have been the same price?

In my opinion, King and Wilson should be the same price.

Wilson has a better goalscoring ratio since joining Bournemouth, and he also had one last season (the two players scored 8 goals each, but King played an extra 469 mins). King is the more creative player, but even so he only got 4 assists to Wilson's 2.

Wilson averaged 3.6 PPM while King averaged 3.3.
Wilson averaged 0.05 points per 90 mins, while King averaged 0.04.
If you remove appearance points, Wilson scored 59 points in 1981 mins, while King scored 62 points in 2450 mins.

It's true that King took 2 penalties last season while Wilson took none, but the season before Bournemouth had no set penalty taker, with Wilson, King and Stanislas all taking penalties. In other words, it's not set in stone that King is going to be taking penalties.

Both players were benched 6 times last season.

With Defoe still lurking the prices are right

      1. stat
        8 years, 29 days ago

He's nearly 36, I can't see him starting over Wilson - who just signed a 4-yr contract - much, but you do have a point. If Defoe plays then it's almost certain that Wilson will drop out.

I think Mitro gets 6.5 due to being nailed but there's always that doubt with Wilson. He should start most games but they do have back-up, and not just Defoe.

          1. stat
            8 years, 29 days ago

Funnily enough I have both Mitro and Wilson in a 3-5-2.

Aside from Wilson, Defoe and King, their only other player who has played as CF before according to TransferMarkt is Lys Mousset.

He's scored 2 goals in 34 apps for Bournemouth in the league.
He's only started 7 out of 49 times that he's been in the matchday squad - came on as a sub 27 times, and remained on the bench 15 times.

Therefore Wilson's only competition is a guy who is nearly 36, and a guy who has scored 2 goals in 2 seasons, unless of course King is deployed as a CF, and Defoe / Brooks as a SS, thus benching Wilson - which I don't think is likely.

Yeah it's just that the half is that risk. We must assess if it's real or unlikely... have we got a bargain that the makers haven't judged properly? You think so, I am wary but it's an interesting bet.

I've changed king to wilson. Wilson is a form player - I liked his goal though preseason means nothing. I'm betting on wilson at the start

      1. stat
        8 years, 29 days ago

I was trying to find an extra 0.5 somewhere so I could do King -> Wilson but then I realized that Wilson is better value. He's definitely a form player, but with his fixtures I think we're taking a calculated risk.

King more nailed on starter than Wilson plus on penalties hence 0.5 more.

It remains to be seen how much of a threat a striker who is probably in the last season of his career will be towards a much younger striker who just signed a 4 year contract, but I guess that must have been their reasoning.

Defoe will have the minutes too, which is Wilson at risk for. If Wilson sure starter who plays 90 minutes, then its a no brainer not to have Wilson beside penalties duty.

          1. stat
            8 years, 29 days ago

That's true but there's hardly a difference between the average mins played by Wilson and King last season.
Wilson averaged 71 mins while King averaged 74.

I'd say it's King's.performance two seasons ago that has him more expensive

      1. stat

Could be - unfortunately Wilson has suffered a lot with injuries - that may have been factored in as well.
That may partly explain why Ramsey is 7.5 for example.

if Richarlison can find form, definitely him. Pedro wont ever be nailed imo, unless Willian leaves, even then he'll face competition. Mili solely relies on pens to an extent, so that's down to personnel interpretation as to whether he's worth the money.

Arnie - 5 goals in pre-season, last season was in FFS team of the year, will play. Downside is fixtures

Zaha - likely to move and not giarenteed to start if he does, plus a very patchy player.

Tosun - only scored against that terrible Austrian side, wasn’t great last season, unknown quantity.

As for King - he’s a rubbish player and will be way worse than Zaha and Arnie.

My only risky pick of the night is this second bottle of some je ne sais quoi vino. Evening friend 🙂

If you could comfortably afford DDG, would you get him? Can't get Ederson, already have my 3 City spots filled

I’d avoid all United as their is so much chaos waiting to happen with Mad Mo

If you can comfortably afford DDG you've done something wrong.

De Gea is our dream goalkeeper set and forget but 6.0m price just not justify his value.

Ok here is my first draft (probably fairly template) team

    Fabianski, Bettinelli
    Robertson, Mendy, Luiz, Boly, Wan-Bissaka
    Salah, Mahrez, Mkhi, Richarlison, Musaku
    Auba, Zaha, Arnie

nice. Concerned about Mkhi's game time? Not sure i'd have Betts either, Fabri could start plus I see us conceding quite a few goals

        Mkhi seems a big risk

Looks ok although Masuaku is covering Cresswell atm so maybe look at that

Thanks guys... mkhi out ... maybe will get in Pedro or Willian if he stays and a better 4.5 bench

Do you think Ryan sessegnon will play left back to start the season?

Possibly. It's a shame they didn't sign Targett.

Dunno but once Mawson is ready, Le Marchand can go LB

Does TAA start? If so do you pick him over Robbo... If it can get you Siggy > Mahrez when you already have Everton cover in Richarlison

Much more competition for TAA than for Robertson, who only has Moreno.

Yeah, Klopper loves the kid but he will play it fair.

or Clyne for the first few gameweeks?

    My front 3 has been

    Auba /Zaha /Arnie

Based on the game I was at Wednesday I'm leaning towards Lacazette now instead.

Also getting cold feet on Zaha with this potential move to chelsea.

    Like Arnie regardless of fixtures...

    So Auba or Lacazette??
What should I do for 3rd striker slot of not Zaha??

    Thanks
