Sitting in sixth position and ahead even of the hipsters’ favourites, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bournemouth have been a welcome success story in Fantasy Premier League this season.
Just three top-flight teams have scored more goals than the Cherries (16), while only Manchester City (28) have created more big chances than Eddie Howe’s side (27) in the opening eight Gameweeks.
Like Wolves, all of their FPL assets are priced up in the budget-to-mid-price bracket, with not a single Bournemouth player currently costing more than £6.4m.
Their players are offering tremendous value for money: Ryan Fraser‘s (£6.0m) average of 8.0 FPL points per million (PPM) spent is the best among midfielders, while Callum Wilson (£6.4m) and Joshua King‘s (£6.4m) PPMs of 7.8 and 6.7 are the highest among FPL forwards.
No budget midfielder available for £5.0m or less has scored more points than David Brooks (£5.0m) this season, meanwhile.
It should be said, of course, that the Cherries have enjoyed a somewhat favourable start to the season. Howe’s troops have only met Chelsea of the “big six” sides and sterner tests await from Gameweek 11 onwards, when they face Manchester United (twice), Arsenal (h), Manchester City (a), Liverpool (h), Wolves (a) and Spurs (a) in the space of ten matches.
Doubling up on Bournemouth assets is probably a no-go for this run of fixtures, then, but given the value the Cherries are offering in FPL, there might be room for one of their attack-minded assets in our squads even during this tricky spell.
With that in mind, we have used this latest members’ piece to explore the Cherries’ four current options in midfield and attack. It should be noted, of course, that doubts remain over Fraser’s fitness given his withdrawal from the Scotland squad during this international break – although the last time that happened, the winger delivered an 18-point haul the very next Gameweek.

6 years, 6 months agoI take it this is one of the "open" articles normally reserved for members and I have to admit it's brilliant.
I'm not a stat. merchant and I prefer to watch a lot of games and highlights to evaluate performance, something I'm unable to do this season however.
The heat map is fantastic and I'm now seriously considering membership. The reason the Scouts have opened up these articles this weekend are going to have the desired effect I reckon. Very Good.
