0.1 off Matrinez sucks, honestly wait to see if Potter mentions him in his press conference. the 4.5m keepers arent feeling great when you have Lena at 5 and Mendy at 5.1

    McCarthy
    TAA*, Chilwell, Lamptey
    Son, Salah, Sterling*, Hamez
    DCL, Bumford, Maupay*

    Button, Taylor, Bisouma, Mitchell

    2FT and planing on doing:

    Sterling to Ziyech
    TAA to Bellerin
    Maupay to Vardy

    Yay or nay?

Isnt that what we are all doing here? Point chasing. Show me the patient guy who is sitting on a player that is not scoring points but is being patient "because the stats show his time will come" and I will show you a guy languishing around the bottom of the league tables.

        1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
          • 5 Years

Have to disagree. To an extent of course you're right, if you have a player (e.g. Pereira) that hasn't done anything for a few weeks and is in an underperforming team and you're still sitting on them then sure, but there are lots of players that blank for one or two weeks and then hit their stride. Sterling could hit form at any minute and City are slowly picking things up, and there's every likelihood the Liverpool game could be very open. TAA and Maupay are fair, but I do think there's a difference between trying to fix issues with your team and kneejerking players out and in. (Not saying that's what Bruce Lee is doing here.)

the issue with the move is you lose your 2nd premium mid meaning getting in a KDB in the near future is hard and may involve hits.

2 FT, 0.1 ITB. Many transfers possible this week. James, Lamptey, Trossard and Foden are all creating some headache. What do you reckon; TAA > Chilwell and save the other FT?

    Martinez
    TAA Robertson James Lamptey
    Salah Son Grealish Trossard
    Kane DCL

    Steer Foden Brewster Dunne

    A) TAA > Chilwell

    DCL - Kane

    (Peacock-Farrell) (Robertson - Brewster - Mitchell)

Very happy with the front 5 with the fixtures. Would love a Chelsea defender for this gameweek and on but it's probably smarter to just save.

Can people just tell me the -8 I took isn't that bad, really regretting it atm

Saiss, Mitchell, Podence, Jimi > Kilman, 4.0, Grealish and DCL

Main regret is mitchell>4.0 instead of doing mat Ryan to a 4.0 (Have pickford)

Basically its best to take a hit when the player has a strong potential of a return to cover the loss. Those players don't have good fixtures this GW. I would have done them the following GW. Then it would have been a - 4.

    RMT

    McCarthy*(Steer)
    TAA* Saiss* KWP(Justin*)(Mitchell*)
    Salah Son Grealish Hamez*(Bissouma)
    Kane Ings* Maupay*

    2FT's, 0.2 ITB

Will surely wait for news and mostly sell Ings and Saiss.

that's tough, your last question on WC has me thinking, what are we actually holding it for.

      1. ⚔★Vibudh★⚔
        • 9 Years
        5 years, 8 months ago

The changes I would make would be somethink like
        McCarthy to Mendy
        TAA to Chilwell
        Saiss to Bellerin
        Justin to Coufal
        Mitchell to Kilman
Hamez to Ziyech(if Hamez not fit)
        Ings to DCL
        Maupay to Wilson

Something like that but maybe Ziyech and Mendy could be Rashford and Meslier or something.

Hello I have similar team to yours and am also planning wild card in International break. I support Chelsea but am not sure about doubling up defence with Chilwell and Mendy then. Chelsea will have played Sheff U, WBA, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Brighton by then, and fixtures are consequently overall a bit tougher than average before next wildcard available. If I find I can afford Chilwell, I may go for Leno or Patricio to get a keeper from one of the more defensively minded teams. Good luck to the IBWC crowd!

        • 9 Years

I would say what I'm holding it for is the fixture swings next week and the IB. It's impossible to sell Kane/Son before WBA but can do that next week..
If I decide to WC next week I can just take 2 punts this week

    What are TAA holders doing?

My heart says to stick to it as I have held on to him for so long.. he eventually haul

My brain says Liverpool defence is second worst in the league and it will carry on being like this

Moving him frees funds but risks a haul that will hurt

The opportunity to differentiate would appeal to me tbh. I'd predict a lot of fpl managers will feel iffy about benching a premium defender but with how both teams have performed this far, Foden seems like a nifty little differential. Assess UCL lineups/performance and go from there. As it stands I'd lean towards Foden. Good luck.

    RMT
    Pickford (ryan)
    Robbo, Justin, RJames (kilman, 4.0)
    Salah, Son, Hamez, Zaha, Grealish
    Kane, DCL (Brewster)

Pickford looks to be your main issue. I also made the tragic decision to being him in earlier in the season and suffered badly for it. Dropped him this week for Fabianski. Good squad though keep the faith.

To make things worse I started with Kepa and now look at chelsea defence

We have almost the same team so I'm going to say it's pretty good haha

    Martinez
    Zouma robbo kilman kwp saiss
    Salah son grealish hamez zaha
    Kane dcl brewster

Happy with the team (saiss probably needs to go but have enough cover for now).

But high ownership players means 65 this wknd was only good for very small green arrow (1000 places).

Worth bringing in a differential or roll the transfer again?

    Martinez (Forster)
    Chilwell cancelo masuaku (Dallas, 3.9)
    Son salah Sterling grealish (Stephens)
    Kane dcl bamford

    1ft, 0.2itb

    A) save
    B) sterling to kdb
    C) sterling/bamford to Bowen/vardy for -4

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Thinking of ManCity defender gw10->

Who is the most nailed? Mendy is back by then so you would think that Cancelo rotates with him?

Laporte/Dias/Walker nailed? Dias the budget choice who I am leaning towards atm.

      Dias for sure

Laporte and Dias, think I'm going with Dias myself too. Think I saw someone here before saying he averaged a goal every 10 games or so for Benfica and he should get more opportunities at City from corners so I think he'll be a good option. I'd like Cancelo as he's been playing great but he is a rotation risk, not many players with Pep that you can say aren't of course.

Dare I risk a trolling by doing:

    TAA + Stephens => Coufal + Zaha

    CL inquiry

Who will score more points over the next two games?

    A) Ronaldo (2x Ferencvaros)
    B) Messi (2x Dynamo Kiev)
    C) Lewandowski (2x Salzburg)

Going forward, and considering fixtures etc over the next say 8 weeks, would you rather have...

Foden or Wilson?? (3-5-2 vs 3-4-3)

Having the same debacle, leaning towards Wilson in a 343 at the moment

Yeah I’m torn as well! Think I will stick with Foden for another week or two and if still only doing cameos will switch to 3-4-3! GL!

Kilman is heading into a bad run of fixtures Id rather spend my transfers on players with good fixtures. If in Jan he's still in the team at 4.3 - 4.5m he's still good value for the better fixtures.

By Jan I’d say it’s likely he’ll be dropped, likely sooner
