Amazing rank mate. I really don't fancy keeping a hold of DCL or Fernandes this week. Thinking of Wilson and Sonny. What do you think?

Thanks, is the Newcastle game still going ahead? I think I prefer Bamford and 0.5 to Wilson.
Can’t go wrong with Son ofc, I want him back this week.

have you watched Grealish him play? He is at the centre of most villa goals, and has returned a lot so far this year. Confidence is high
Puli - great history last year, done nothing yet..... Lets see him start and play 90 mins first. I can see him being benched and getting 30 mins for a few games.
Mahrez - Been playing consistently, is playing really well, but (except for the hattie) where are the points? Normally, get him in and keep, riding out the blanks.... this year, lets see him return a few more times before going for him. Ask Az / listen to the fpl scoutcast first before jumping on him

Pulisic = injury and rotation risk
      Mahrez = rotation risk
Grealish = one of the best value midfielder regards points per £, in great form, great next three fixtures, and Villa have two games in hand meaning two double game weeks in the future.

this tbh, been at the back of my mind the whole time I had him. Plus rotation ofc
Feel like he has been on a high since joining Pool, working his socks off, its probably not over yet. But he will dry up at some point

If I dont lose him this week, I lose him before Spurs. Just not worth the hassle, would prefer Raphihna who is nailed and far cheaper

Klopp on risking key players tonight: "You can make changes but you need a few key positions. That's why Fabinho played and the decision for Mo, who looked fine and that's why we didn't take him off. He had no issues."

If Liverpool were only to play three of Salah, Mane, Firmino and Jota, who makes up their midfield three?

    Henderson, Gini and..... ?

Jones, himself & Gini had full rest tonight - Henderson played 30.

That would suggest it's very likely that Jones will start against Fulham then and Liverpool will play three out of the four attackers?

Which means a straightforward Salah vs Jota for the start against Fulham.

Got Jesus in on a hit last week thinking he would get in on the scoring act against Fulham but he didn’t. I’ve brought in Salah already (taking out KDB) but now wondering whether to take another hit to get Jesus out for Ings and pretend it never happened.

Is Ings a better option than him over Xmas period?

    Salah(c)-Jota-KDB(v)-Fernandes

I think it is damn mad to sell Grealish. Great form, great fixtures & most important 2x DGW's coming up.
Wilson is a risk. We don't know who has been Covid-19 hit from the squad. He could be out for he next game.
Burke is nowhere near safe... 😀

I dont know something just came over me.....Mahrez is flaky, and has just played another 90 mins, grealish I regret the most, DCL....Evertons fixtures are pants, as is their form, And Brewster.....no loss. Leeds and Newcastle fixtures looking good, and of course Salah is essential I think. Either way I now have 4 big hitters, so bound to do ok I hope!

Not sure I understand the fixture ticker.

Looking at everyone who plays Brighton over the next five GWs, defensively each team has it marked as a comfortable blue fixture.

Yet somehow Brighton are collectively listed third in attack over the same period.

    1. Drexl Spivey
      • 7 Years
      5 years, 2 months ago

      (4th in attack rather)

    2. FPL Theorist
      • 6 Years
      5 years, 2 months ago

It means Brighton have easy fixtures.

It doesn't mean they're a good team. You don't use the ticker for that.

      1. Drexl Spivey
        • 7 Years
        5 years, 2 months ago

Yeah, I get that. But if their attacking fixtures are so good, it would naturally assume a bad day for their opponents defensively. Ticker doesn't reflect that.

        1. FPL Theorist
          • 6 Years
          5 years, 2 months ago

People have certainly asked for a tool that does that. It would be much more complicated to make, probably even more so than the RMT tool.

Mostly people just use the ticker to decide which team to invest in from among comparable teams. E.g. should I buy a 4.5 defender from Brighton or Leeds or West Ham etc.?

Given everyone seems to be in no agreement or centainty it looks to me like Jota has basically destroyed Salah as a captain option. Who wants to risk that. I mean, it's always always going to happen from time to time anyway (see bruno). But this degree of uncertainty, not just whether they will get significantly fewer minutes, looks kind of unacceptable for a 12.3

    1. Qaiss
      • 10 Years

It's not just about how frequently someone will get benched, it's about the number of minutes lost also. If people just wanted reliable returns they'd just cap DCL

    2. Zimo
      • 7 Years
      5 years, 2 months ago

Or everyone is being paranoid. The only time he hasn't started is when he got Covid. Literally no other time has he been benched. Everyone should stop assuming things.

I'm telling you the facts. What assumption am i making. Your doubt is making u assume he might not start. There's no degree of uncertainty for me.

            • 11 Years
            5 years, 2 months ago

You're making the assumption that the previous pattern (no premier league benchings) will continue. That's an assumption. Expressing concerns that pattern may not continue is kinda the opposite

            1. Zimo
              • 7 Years
              5 years, 2 months ago

Im sorry but you didn't express concern. You outright said Jota has "basically destroyed Salah as a captaincy option and that who wants to risk that." If that's not the biggest assumption I've ever seen i don't know what is.

I wanted to be wild and get TAA, should I just get Robbo and be sensible? TBH no one relevant in my leagues has either. Robbo already has the form I guess, im kinda betting on TAA finding his form.
If I knew TAA for sure starts this weekend then I'd get him maybe, but if he desont that would be lame. He surely starts right depsite playing full tonight

Tempted with Cancelo to TAA myself.

      Don't know.

Someone returning from injury might be judged as needing the minutes or they might be eased back in.

Robbo feels safer right now. But if they were the same price at the start of the season most would have gone TAA.

If you think Jota will be benched this weekend, would you start anyway (read: he will score in limited mins) or bench/transfer him out (read: avoid 1 pt cameo) ...

I would have Brewster or Taylor. Rather take my chances with 20 minutes from Jota.

depends on your bench, or other issues.
He plays 1 in 2, or 2 in 3? so just play and take the blanks.

      Your alternative is Mount.....

    Ziyech & Vardy -> Salah(c) & Wilson for a -4?

    McCarthy/Forster
    Chilwell/James/KWP/Justin/Targett
    KDB/Fernandes/Ziyech/Grealish/Riedeweld
    Vardy/DCL/Bamford

Could this be a situation where of you have Salah you're less worried than if you don't?

    1. Maddamotha

Probably. «Casuals» wouldnt even know he played 90 midweek, while the «pros» are well aware and overthink, and dont get him or cap him, and he gets a brace.

Guys the only times salah hasnt started this season is 3 matches. One was a carabao cup match against Lincoln. One was a champions league match against Midjtylland, and one was a league match because he had Covid. There is 0 zero reason to panic and assume Jota has any influence on Salahs starts.

People have gone mad. The game isn’t even until Sunday! Based on everything Klopp has said it will be the Palace game where he rests people as it’s an early Saturday.

Everyone would be better off just tuning out during mid week rather than putting themselves through all this useless theorising.

He played 3 matches in. Week to secure first place CL qualification and a (expected to be) tough game against Wolves. Its good you don't have any doubt that Fulham is a risk in what then amounts to 5 matches in 15 days, culminating in Spurs. With Mane rested and Jota taken off on 70.

I think it's fair to have concerns and foolish to assume that things will carry on as they did before Jota

I'm not trying to scare Salah owners. My planned transfer is KdB to Salah and Salah to KdB.

Klopps literal quotes. "Mo, I was in contact with him, he had no issues and that was the reason why we left him on the pitch and why he started." He'll start vs both Fulham and Spurs imo. Benched against Palace probably and thats a maybe too. And Jota was benched on the 87th minute not 70th.

KDB or Salah going forward? Salah seems to be getting more consistent points but city’s fixtures can’t ignored.
Also I’m stuck with two non-playing wolves defenders (saiss/kilman). Any chance of either starting this week?

    TIA

      I'm on KDB.
Man City were (reletively) rubbish, but they seem to have rediscovered their mojo and are on the up. KDB has 2 double digit hauls in the last 2 weeks, and looked superb - he should have scored 2 in each.
Salah..... will be great but I can only have 1.

    Martinez

    Robertson Chilwell James Bednarek
    KDB Son(VC) Bruno Grealish
    Werner(C) Bamford

    Forster Watkins Bissouma Mitchell
    0.1 ITB

Was thinking of making moves for Salah, but now thinking banking the free transfer this week and keeping a more balanced team.
    Any suggestions?

If you own Salah, all good but if you captain him, you're risking him being restricted to 20 minutes when Kane will give you 90.

"Casuals" are not problem but u "pros" who overthink stuff. If u are pro than u know that u are not buying Salah just for this week and if u fail C it wont be first nor the last time u did so

        Exactly, we over-think.
Guessing, making assumptions and arguing when none of us no. A waste of time and effort, better we come back Friday, hope for some team news and make decisions then with a clear head.

Personally my arm band is still on Salah, not expecting Jota to start but im not gonna take anyone out, thats that. Only decision I have to make really is do I get TAA or Robbo

that wasnt even a dig at casuals, it was a dig at us for over-thinking, and that likely people who didnt even follow what happened tonight will benefit over us.

He hasn't. I think it's fairly certain he'll make an initial selection with the Spurs game in mind, and transfer at half point or 60' depending if the FUL game is in the bag or not.
