Mark Sutherns’ FPL Gameweek 4 preview and Wildcard team reveal

And it’s live active! Mark Sutherns has hit the ‘Play Wildcard’ button and he’s discussing it with Andy North tonight on the latest live stream for Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout.

The Wildcard talk dominates but there is plenty of room for other hot topics as Andy and Mark chat about all things Fantasy Premier League (FPL) in the run-up to Saturday’s Gameweek 4 deadline.

Mark, a four-time top 1k finisher, collected 35 points in Gameweek 3 but was unfortunate enough to remove Brennan Johnson (£5.9m) in a four-point hit, just before he bagged nine points at Everton.

‘Sutherns Comfort’ was still without Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Gabriel Jesus (£8.2m) last weekend, so Son Heung-min (£11.9m) was handed the captaincy for his blank against Wolves.

How many of his original side have survived the cull?

As well as revealing their Gameweek 4 teams and transfers, Mark and Andy will also answer some questions from those tuning into the stream live.

      No particular rank will do that to me as I feel you can always recover to a relatively respectable rank over the course of the season.
      What might make me rage quit is if I go through a long series of bad lucks, things totally out of my hands.

      He may give some space to the mids, good striker and experienced in PL. Everton look lost but feels like its the first good transfer for Lampard. Fantasy wise, i d stay away until i see him play.

    I've got a big dilemma this week and I am looking for some advice. Current team is:

    Ward Iverson
    TAA Robertson Cancelo James Neco
    Salah Mount Martinelli Bailey Andreas
    Haaland Jesus Archer

    I've got two free transfers. The obvious underperformers are Mount and Robbo but I am reluctant to take either out before LEI and BOU at home, so they both get one last chance.

    The other notable weak points are Ward (big error) and Bailey. I have 0.0 in the bank so can't upgrade the goalkeeper without making a transfer somewhere else.

    Currently considering doing Haaland > Kane to get ahead of the curve before a potential resting and then reassessing next week when I've got more data on both Mount and Robbo and which one is more deserving of a downgrade.

    Any thoughts?

      There's nothing much wrong with this apart from the keepers. If you want to upgrade probably one 9f Mount or Robbo would be the fall guy but a very tough choice between the 2

      Sell Robbo 6.9m depending on choice of defenders with possible keeping some ITB for
      following week if decision on Bailey

      & buy a 4.5m or 5.0m keeper

      Got same team and also 2FT. I'm doing Robbo and Bailey to Arse def and Rashford. The way I see it is Bailey is a long-term problem and there are plenty of alternatives to Robbo.

      There will be many twists and turns as well as 4.3 mids and 4.4 or 4.3 midfielders plus Ward to Iverson saving 0.1 if you have a 4.5 GK.

    Is it me or does pretty much every team on here have TAA and/or James? Feel kinda left out.

    Every team has Haaland and Jesus. Checked by mini league earlier today and every team was so similar. Success will predominantly come down to captain choice and a few differentials.
