      A bit lucky tbf.

The added on time crucial and besides the second part of the first half and the penalties too, Manchester City were the better team.

For the other 85 mins or so.

Arsenal had virtually stopped playing and got a double deflection equaliser.

I prefer Arsenal of the two ... Gotta call it how you see it.

Mitoma will probably become Diaby or someone else, Pedro is a cheap starter, Chilwell will be playing over Estupiñan by then is the hope.

To get Salah needs multiple downgrades I’m not sure I’m happy with, and I don’t know if Trent is worth switching from Stones + Martinelli to Trent + Enciso (with a different 6.5 over Mitoma), for example. Unless you have a better way of reaching them?

    Congrats Arsenal.

I feel need a Striker to win the league which was a concern on watching, see all the approach play & why Chelsea got rid of KH as need a striker.

Manager needs to stay in tech area any sending off is not back in the stands but the changing rooms with no contact to players & Arsenal players will need to adjust to breaking up play which will earn like first half Yellow cards

    Man City - will improve
Foden / KDB need to start

unlike with deflected goal - plus for City & others only one team since 2011 winning the CS have gone on to win the Premiership

Starting elevens on both teams not sure if tactical or actual starting 11.

      Nope

      more game time

I still think this is Pep's starting front 5:

        Grealish Haaland Bernardo
        Kovacic KDB

Best players for control. Then he'll bring on players like Foden, Alvaraz & Palmer if he needs more flair, and less control.

Mahrez was definitely 2nd choice behind Bernardo. Not considering Palmer in the slightest.

Just curious if Palmer is ready for the step up. Opponents don't come much tougher than Arsenal, and I thought he played well. Did well in England U21s Euros win too.

I think Newcastle have fantastic depth in attack and midfield.

Signing Livramento gives them more depth at RB. Just need another CB & LB and they have a very deep squad imo.

Underlying data has them a fair distance ahead of Liverpool last season, especially defensively. So it's going to take more than Fabinho, Henderson -> Mac Allister, Szboszlai to close the gap imo.

They only had one place to play. Liverpool had injuries throughout the season. Newcastle now have the CL to worry about . . .don't have the squad for both.

Liverpool's backup midfield is Bajcetic, Jones & Elliott. Whereas Newcastle have Bruno Guimarães, Tonali, Anderson, Willock, Joelinton, Longstaff to pick from. Their 2nd string is older than Liverpool's.

In attack Newcastle have Isak, Wilson, Barnes, Gordon, Murphy, Almiron. Just don't see the whole kids argument.

Yes, think this will still be a regular occurrence with the number of attacking options they have.

Yeah is a concern ,l still believe ''they" will be the most influential Arsenal player soon but damn Trossard can not be ignored on current form.

I’m wondering the same. For me it’s either:
      A) Martineli & Edouard (got Pedro)
      B) Eze & Watkins

      1. Saka White Rice

Not sure on Pens. Missed 2 against Lazio in midweek and his record is shocking. Wouldn’t be surprised if Emery reassigns to Dougy, McGinn or Tielemans

A lot less minutes though. 20 extra minutes for Watkins per game makes a difference.

Literally happened every game whether he scores or not. He always gets subbed off early that's actually a fact

                2 years, 6 months ago

Lot of stats there but it's been a very recurring theme to have Martinelli subbed off for Trossard they both play LW. Yes Jesus is out but Havertz or Nketiah will replace him. He's still a good option but minutes are more important than ever this year with the new extended rule

Honestly, too many risks for my liking. Trossard, Foden, Alvarez and DCL all aren’t assured starters or ones to give you 90 mins. Also, too much money on the bench.
