We are currently at 422 registered jousters for the Hall of Shame Tourney, closing in on our 500 target before commencement of festivities. Pre-tourney feasting has begun, the all-you-can-eat medieval meat buffet is open! Turnips are available for vegetarians and vegans! All are welcome, all are catered for!

There will be a special imaginary prize when we hit the 450 mark.

B84jwh is the code for entry.

The highest placed player at the end of the Tourney extricates themselves from the Hall of Shame. Tis simple. There will be random weekly imaginary prizes decided by the feudal-inspired Tourney Committee (ie. me).

Is having Martinelli, Garnacho and Joao Pedro all together too risky?

Would have a bench of Cash, Baldock, 4.5 striker and 0.5 ITB

Martinelli is the only secure starter but will be subbed off regularly. Understand that Garnacho and Jado Pedro probably favoured to start GW1, but if both don't start you'll be playing a very weak bench. I would go with neither, drop Salah or whoever is making you scrape the barrel for funds and redistribute.

Thanks. I do have Salah there but can have a more balanced Salah draft with two 6.5 mids and either Wissa or Pedro up front. Martinelli makes the draft too risky

There is a non Salah draft which is more evenly distributed than that too

Thoughts on starting Foden against Burnley (A) then moving him towards Jota/Diaz the following week based on who's more likely to play?

This is of course you have no Salah.

I have this feeling Gakpo will get the most minutes out the lot in the end.

        Think he'll start:

        Diaz Jota Salah

against Chelsea for the workrate with Gakpo in the midfield.

I have no idea what Klopp is cooking this season but possible. MacAllister played DM last game. We desperately need Lavia.

He tried Jones at #6 but he couldn't do it, so Mac A went there because he played it with Brighton. But that was a one-off. Klopp knows how desperately they need a proper #6. I don't think they'll have one bedded in by GW1 though, so Poch will be licking his lips.

It's a waste of an FT especially this early in the season. You can't be sure after 1 game of who is going to get more starts. You could go for who starts v Chelsea and they may get benched in GW2, you could

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 5 Years

        (*hit post by accident)

...you could go for the other and they may get benched again. If you have other big issues come up you might be locking yourself in for an early hit

      2. Lallana_
        • 12 Years

Considering City aren't as good away, I'm going against it.

Might just try Gakpo for GW1 and if he does not play much and I'm forced, move him to Watkins GW2.

I might be wrong but I think if you're punting on Gakpo/Jota/Diaz/Nunez you're best off just holding on for a few weeks at least, unless it looks like whichever one you get is never going to get a start. Chances are they might be in and out a bit but you'll miss out if you keep moving them

I feel as though Liverpool scorelines will be so high this year I want a cut of it without sacrificing my team and getting Salah. So conflicted.

I think I'll hold as Chelsea & Newcastle are difficult fixtures.

Scared of Bournemouth at home because of the 9-0.

Sorry bottomed on the last page

Would appreciate any thoughts on draft and plan?

    Onana
    Dias, Estupinan, Gabriel
    Saka, Rashford, Bruno, Martinelli, Eze
    Haaland, Watkins

    Turner, Baldock, Colwill, Mubama

GW2: Bruno > Jota / Diaz / Gakpo - Whichever Liverpool player (outside of Mo) looks best
GW3: Estupinan > Chilwell / James depending on who is looking best / not injured. Double Chelsea defence for GW 3 - 5 if they are looking strong

The Chinese owners have utterly lost interest. They can sign players, but don't want to. Other mismanaged clubs can sigh with relief that Wolves, Blades and Hatters will save them from doing a Leicester.

Is Undongie the best 4.5? Always going to have a straggler as your 11th player when the first 10 are so strong but I'd be more tempted by Cash, Botman or Henry (although he's flagged currently)

Ideally you want a defender to have a smidgin of a chance of a clean sheet. He is possibly the most attacking 4.5 defender though.

Was about 45k at GW32 last year and then had an abysmal finish and ended up 162k. Top 100k would be good.

For those going without Salah is the plan in GW2 to captain:
    A. Haaland (NEW)
    B. Jota/Diaz (BOU)

    Pickford
    Stones - Gabriel - Saliba - Estupinan
    Salah - Rashford - Bruno - Saka
    Haaland - J.Pedro

Henderson got 82 FPL points from 18 starts last season, Hennessey 8 from 3 (including a sub), does anybody know how many points Keylor Navas scored for Forest last season ?

Couple of late tweaks but think I'm done now.

    Onana
    TAA Chilwell Estu Gabriel
    Saka Eze Odegaard Rashford
    Watkins Haaland

    Areola Beyer Nakamba Woodrow

Now just wait for the points to roll in right..................RIGHT?

I don’t want to like this team, but I really do… basically Trent + Odegaard instead of Salah and a 4m.

    Onana, Areola (will be Turner)
    Chilwell, Gabriel, Estupiñan (Baldock, Kaboré)
    Salah, Rashford, Saka, Eze, Mitoma
    Haaland, Wissa (Mubama)

My question is whether it’s worth to go Onana, Wissa -> Johnstone, Pedro and have the money itb to get Diaz and then Maddison (or just get one from the start?).

With Pedro, my bench is slightly weaker

Surely it should be stronger with Pedro? I’d choose him over Mitoma.

Looked at the Salah no Salah option and currently on the below to give me so bench cover.
    Pickford
    Chilwell / Estu / Gabriel
    Saka / Salah / Eze / Maddison
    Haaland / Pedro / Watkins

    Areola / Andreas / Baldock / Beyer

Got 0 ITB. Tried to go a bit punty on a couple of the picks. Andreas is 5.5 so are there better 5.5 or cheaper options in MID getting minutes?

Currently on a 4-5-2 that is £0.5m over budget.
So which DEF (reluctantly) drops out:
    - Chilwell
    - Gabriel
    - Stones
    - Estupinan

Alternatively, I rock the extra man and go with the N!pple Tweaker pairing of Areola/Turner!

I’ve seen the saying here quite often after an early kick off match or it could just be the illusory truth effect where I notice it more after it happens on a once off chance

Have landed on this, pretty happy with it. Any suggestions?

    Johnstone (Areola/Turner)
    Chilwell Estu Gabriel (Kabore Beyer)
    Salah Saka Bruno Mbeumo (Sarr)
    Haaland Watkins Pedro

I’d probably go with either a more exciting (Chukwuemeka) or more nailed (Nakamba) 4.5 mid.
