Liverpool players to get for the double?

    1. Bobby Crush

Not that many who are likely to start both, but VVD, Allison, Jota or Diaz should be ok. Nunez if he is fit again.

But in general I would not go too hard on the DGW here if it upsets your team. Two from Liverpool is enough I think.

I'm sticking with just Trent & Jota I think. Slightly unsure whether I'd buy Trent at this point if I didn't own with the speculation that he could be rested before the cup final but maybe he needs rhythm and perhaps Bradley might need time off. Don't mind a Darwin punt

Thoughts on Darwin in GW 24 & 25?

How many minutes do you think he plays in 25?

Even though I was burned owning Darwin earlier this season when he was more focused on his pigtails rather than scoring goals, I am actually considering bringing him back on a two week punt next week. Easier for my team to move onto Darwin than it is for Jota and can only hope that he does start returning.

      I think he'll get 200 minutes in GW24 and 25

I don't personally think it's such an obvious move. Jota could well be rested over gw25 or have limited minutes, saka has w ham and Burnley next plus he plays gw26. I ll be keeping saka

I was sort of looking at this one too but trying to look it at it from a different angle now.

How many games do they both play over the next 3 GW's? (Exactly the same). Will it completely mess up your team for BGW26 too requiring a hit to get Saka back? Would you captain Jota in DGW26? (Doubtful) What if Salah returns in GW25 and starts one of the games? All of this is making me doubt the move.

Both probably, but Dubravka more likely as it only relies on one result (Newcastle beating Blackburn) rather than two (Villa beating Chelsea and, perhaps unbelievably, Leeds)

    3. The Tonberry
      • 2 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

For Areola to blank, Villa need to beat Chelsea in the midweek replay then beat Leeds/Plymouth at home in the next round.

For Dubravka to blank, Newcastle need to beat Blackburn away in the cup.

Probably a chance both will blank in GW29

    Have two FTs:

    A) Porro and Pedro to Doughty and Darwin

    B) Foden to Jota

    C) Foden, Porro/Estu and De Gea to Jota, Doughty/Walker and Allison

Sure is, have admired him for a while now so I certainly wouldn't write him off as a kneejerk move. Would pick him up in 26 to complete my Wolves triple up. But with SHU & DGW, possibly against a heavily rotated Pool side, I quite fancy an Adebayo punt first

Yes there might be a little rotation as usual but it won't be a heavily rotated side for Luton. Liverpool are challenging for the title too.

Yeah tbf I meant to hedge that as 'speculated to be' heavily rotated. I had a look the pre-cup final lineups from 2 seasons ago & am not sure it'll be quite as drastic as some are suggesting

Already did that...but having second thoughts, too late. I do not think Adebayo is the caliber that can keep up with this form.

Its not like I'm committing to starting him every week - I'm deadending into WC27. Think SHU will be another goalfest & even though Man Utd are sort of improving they still don't strike me as having the organisation / discipline to deal with the Kenny barrage

No need for rage. Never got the commitment to Solanke.

Form is temporary and all that. He was never gonna keep the scoring run up as never been prolific and is very much bottom Prem / Championship player

    Team for next week:

    Dubravka
    Estupinan - Zinchenko - Doughty
    KDB - Foden - Palmer - Richarlison
    Solanke - Haaland - Watkins

    Turner - Saka - Taylor - Lascelles

    1 FT. 2,6 ITB

    Huge benching headache... Again ^_^
And weak backline. Need a defender for when Doughty is blanking so might get Schar in now for Lascelles? Or Villa defender?

Thinking of Alvarez, Bowen & Zinchenko > Haaland, Lewis- Potter & 4m defender for a -4. Thoughts?

Lewis-Potter would be permanently benched apart from in the Double. Likely he'll get 2-3 points but can't see a better, cheap alternative.

    Current team:

    Dubravka
    Porro / Estupinan / TAA
    Saka / Palmer / KDB / Richarlison
    Alvarez / Watkins / Darwin

    Areola / Bowen / Tosin / Zinchenko

Who to bench, and should I get more Liverpool? Considering Foden > Jota or getting Trent in for Porro by raising 3.0 somehow.

    Dubravka (Areola)
Porro - Gabriel - Doughty (Burn, Estupinian)
KDB - Foden - Palmer - Richarlison (Saka)
    Haaland - Nunez - Watkins

    0.5 ITB.

Price drops are done on % of owners lost which is why he didn't plummet while he was out.

Price rises are done on net transfers in to a fixed threshold, so those 1,000s managers getting him back in trigger the rise. It's all in the algorithm

Price drops manually intervened, but he is rising like a rocket now. The problem with that stress fracture is that his minutes may have to be managed. Is he going to get price rises even if he doesn't start(?)

Big no for me, we're still not really sure why Klopp took him off yesterday but it isn't a good sign and with Bradley there he will probably only play once in the DGW. Personally, I think my keeper shopping energy has flatlined for the rest of the season & I'll just stick with Leno. But for cheap, DGW, low bar - maybe Kaminski rather than Ederson?

You don’t like Martinez? Scored me 7 and 9 in the last three weeks and has a nice run of fixtures. He racks up save points too something which Ederson rarely does. Don’t be fooled by the double and pick someone who you want beyond that and won’t need to book a transfer out.

Yeah owned Martinez for a few weeks too. Fun pick that gets saves and some clean sheets. Very confident if a penalty is against him too. Perfect keeper until gw30/31

You might wanna see if Villa lose in the cup first though

Is it silly to go with Alisson as 3rd Liverpool asset? (Have Jota & Darwin)

I'm doing it for next transfer and surprised he hasn't been mentioned more, the high profile mistake will help keep his ownership down a bit:
      a) have 2 FT and no clear problems, with three MCU and two LIV
      b) with Kelleher playing cup final, AB will actually play both games in dgw (I think people are going to be sorely disappointed with how few minutes they get out of LIV and MCI players, 120 would be good for any of them)
      c) Burnley next and sick of Leno, his form has fallen off a cliff.

Keeps open of possibility for BB in 25 too.

    2FT, £8.4 ITB, thoughts?

    Areola - Dubravka
Pedro Porro - Walker - Gabriel - Konsa - Kilman
    Saka - Foden - Gross - Gordon - Palmer
    Haaland - Watkins - Archer

I'd be bringing in some Liverpool for the double. Plenty in the bank so take your pick. Maybe Jota for Gordon if he's out.

Who do you prefer for DGW?

    a) Foden & Darwin
    b) Jota & Alvarez
