I think if you're on a WC you need to make the kind of radical changes that get most value out of the chip. Whether Saka is worth losing over the other combinations of moves you can pull, tough to say

I don't see Porro keeping a clean sheet. But Doughty may only keep one. Porro more likely to get attacking returns but 3 games Vs 2 can be better chance of them

Use fts to build a reasonable team for bgw29. Then wildcard

I'd largely agree. Only exception might be that, on Paper, Luton Vs Forest should go ahead so having some Luton for 28 and a game in 29 will be important for avoiding a FH29

Anyone thinking of going without Haaland? I could bring KDB in this week and have a Man C 3 of KDB, Alvarez and Foden. Would allow me to keep Solanke and Watkins through to GW29 and make it a lot easier to navigate the blanks and doubles. Solanke TC 28 obviously.

I currently have the same 3 city already and 2FT that I am using to get Haaland in. I wish I was brave enough not to, but the EO will kill me if he returns big.

It definitely could work as I don't think KDB's returns should be miles off Haaland's. But yeah it's the EO and Haaland's ceiling that makes it tough. 4 goals for TC'ers and it's rough uphill climb the rest of the way. I think there are ways to be different/bold during this period that don't include fading Haaland

I didn't phrase it well! With Bowen now playing 29 (Chelsea beating Villa), he'll be someone a lot of people (including myself) will be looking to get in after DGW25. So I would've liked selling Bowen a lot more before tonight. Jota's fixtures 24/25 are excellent but then he's probably a sell before 29. So it's just creating extra transfers, though could obviously work because Jota could explode these next couple.

Chelsea/Spurs all blank in 26 so I'll probably be looking to sell those guys over the next few weeks for Luton. There's no perfect approach though and you're well set up having Haaland. Just a question of whether extra transfers in and out for Liverpool are worth it

Pretty set on this now. WC now, BB25 with 9 doublers,11 players for B26 and can navigate B29 with frees. Likely TC Solanke 28.

    Alisson
    Trippier VVD Doughty
    Kdb Foden Jota Barkley
    Haaland Toney Solanke

    Areola Neto Cash Pau

    Thoughts?

    1. Hanz0
      • 3 Years

Working on a similar WC early draft.

Core of the team is identical.

      Kaminski (Areola)
VVD Doughty Trippier (Moreno, Van Hecke)
      KDB Foden Jota Barkley Richarlison
      Haaland Darwin (Toney)

Prefer Darwin to Allison in net - think Kaminski will rack up the save points and Darwin could mega haul.

Got trippier currently but may downgrade for extra funds later. Also need to double check which benched defenders are optimal for GW26-28 and if its worth getting a bournemouth defender early or booking the transfer.

Overall big fan of the strategy and team, have you hit the button already?

What do you think of this? If Toney returns then no clean sheets are lost.

          Flekken - Kaminski

SHU next game, really are there for save points in the doubles

Trippier - Moreno - Gabriel - Doughty - Van Hecke

          KDB - Foden - Jota - Richarlison - Barkley

          Haaland - Darwin - Toney

          - 10 doublers
          - 11 in GW26 with 2FT

Best move? Currently have no Haaland, No Liverpool Attack, & no starting keeper w/ Turner out of favor, so not sure where to prioritize:

    A) Alvarez + Saka + Trippier —> Haaland + Garnacho + Doughty (-4)
    B) Watkins + KDB + Sanchez —> Haaland + Gordon + Dubravka (-4)
    C) Saka + Sanchez —> Jota + Dubravka (2FT) (Would still need a -4 for Haaland next week)

    Cheers!

I am considering Trent out to find Haaland myself so not against it. Does Bell leave you with too many blanks in 26? If so I'd prefer it with Van Hecke or Branthwaite - assume you'll be using a transfer on a GK in 25 with D so won't have a lot of options to prepare for 26 without more hots

Was not even thinking as far ahead as GW26 tbh, just needed to match the funds at 3.9 for a defender to park on the bench. In that sense A) provides a much stronger bench I guess.

    Raya (Sanchez*)
    Saliba Trippier Porro
Saka Bernardo Gordon* Palmer KDB Watkins Solanke
    BENCH Estupinan Konsa Semenyo

    1FT over 8m

    A Solanke/Konsa to Haaland/Doughty -4
    B Gordon/Bilva to Jota/Foden -4
    C WC
D Gordon to Jota then take a -4 next week depending on results

Play the fixtures in front of you and don't overthink it. Some people will avoid a non playing player in 29 despite 5 fixtures worth of points available!

These double gameweeks are as often a washout as they are a bonanza

What do people think about Salah and Son being back?

    My take (fwiw) is:

Jota and Richarlson still get plenty minutes
Darwin a risk not worth taking now, especially with the blank

Salah not likely worth it until after cup final. Because of blank, I'd suspect same is true of Son. But I'll be looking at setting up to bring one or both in for 27 I think

Ye I am not entertaining getting Salah in but it does impact Liverpool decisions

For example I am getting Jota and Toney. Very tempted by Richy too as I feel he still plays up top with Son out wide. Three homes games in a row

Haha, ye I know he's not back FFS

What I mean is that he will be back for the double. Maybe plays one plus some mins.

In my book no way does Darwin get both games. He probably plays Burnley plus some of the double the most are taking a hit to remove him for the blank. Just my opinion but it has DGW blindness all over it

Really struggling between Biwen to Jota or Bowen to Foden. No upcoming blank for Foden but he will probably get a rest at some point. Jota feels potentially more explosive but does have the blank and Foden just got a hat-trick... What's the general consensus?

You think Salah plays 180 minutes in the space of 4 days, coming back from a hamstring injury and only 4 days before a cup final?

Even if he is well to start Vs Burnley, I don't think he is getting more than 90 over the DGW - in which case is the mess you're making to achieve it worthwhile? Not for me

Agree with you. Porro before 24. Palmer before 25. Trent before 26 is my current plan! Probably loading up on Luton

He was injured when off on international duty for Asian Cup. Only played about 5 hours of football from 7 games they played so should be fairly fresh.

Was Brentford B Team player of the year in 2016, but plays for Bournemouth now. Sheffield were showing interest during the summer transfer window. He’s a defender. Not quite Luke Ayling level but close.

Tell me you're affected by DGW fever without telling me you're affected by DGW fever.

And no, he's not a minutes risk. Not even come close to threatening to have any.

If I bought Gordon for 6.1 will I lose money on him if he drops tonight? Current price 6.2?

    Congrats Chelsea

I feel Best team performance of the year away to Villa with previous run of 20 wins in 22 games at home.

Played as a team going forward/defending -chasing down in packs (2 & 3's)

Wonder if it is now the route to go with the World Class T.Silva more now on the bench,
recovery pace of team looked good first time the centre two midfields totally controlled the game.

lets hope end of game just tiredness with no injuries to Chelsea players,
    same team against Crystal Palace

        100% agree

I'm still pinching myself - thinking the worse (4v1) but in the end
went for a (1v2) scoreline- after last team performances more
in hope than expecting - feels like a wonderful dream - I'll sleep well this evening

Bring on the old enemy - what a FA Cup tie & mid-week at the Bridge (OMG)
