We will arrive late. But not against United [Community Shield], against Chelsea and Ipswich.

I don’t understand this part, he says chelsea and ipswich is the time for those players or both of these games are still too early?

Yeah, I think he means they will return against Chelsea and Ipswich, which would mean they go into GW1 with no pre-season minutes.

I suppose it's a wait and see. It is a tricky dilemma - if I knew all would start I'd go Palmer, Saka, Foden, Gordon, Eze. If that's in doubt two of them probably become Salah + Bowen/Mbeumo

Need to hear him say it maybe but because against has been used again before Chelsea, I think he is saying that the they will be back for Chelsea and Ipswich games/be integrated back in those games

Do you have any blindspots this season? Players you just don't get the hype around.
For me it's Eze. I just don't see why he's so popular.

Last year my blindspot was Mbuemo though...and that's the only reason I currently have Eze in my team.

Hudson Odoi. How nailed on is he in a Chelsea team with a lot of attacking options to split points with?

Eze is popular for his price and Olise gone could boost his attacking output.

Palace did look fantastic down the stretch. And Eze's talismanic and enjoyable to watch. The loss of Olise may be a factor, for sure, but he's in my draft at 7m.

I think Mbeumo may be getting overlooked again. Bowen too. Fixtures are mixed for both but proven assets. Right now more fashionable to go below them to Nkunku/Forest, and fitting in Salah/Haaland may dictate a lot of that, but not sure I trust those mids.

Interesting - I'm warming to him if I pivot off the Palmer/Saka/Foden trio due to early minutes concerns. Fixtures not too bad either - thought he had two of City/Arsenal/Liverpool in the first 6 or so when it's just City.

It's probably as good as you'll get having both Salah and Haaland in.

It might be worth considering TAA 4.5/5m for 2m to upgrade one of the mids to Bruno possibly and get you an extra pen taker in?

I don’t know should I pick gordon for gw1 BB or not (will pick 2 newcastle defenders + isak in that case)

    Current players:

    Salah, Son, Odegaard, Johnson, CHO

Any ideas? Coming back a bit late from euro puts me off tbh

    1. Emiliano Sala

Not sure I'm entirely getting the question here.

So if you pick Gordon you'll play BB week 1? And if not, then you'll fill the quota of Newc players via 2 defenders and Isak?

FWIW, I like Gordon as a pick and even if you do not start with him, I would retain a Newc spot to be able to get him in. BB depends on the whole team so would need to see it but there's certainly an argument for not needing chips as much later on this season with reduced rearranged fixtures and with 5 FT's being able to be carried over

Thanks for the reply. I am playing BB anyway. With or without gordon

And so many line ups are clear I don’t know what you mean
I have picked nailed players. Salah, son, isak, havertz, CHO…

would rather gordon, reliable home record and on set-pieces if Tripps isnt favoured. he barely played at the Euros, can imagine he's chomping at the bits to get back to Newcastle, doubt he misses GW1

but he would be in place of Johnson from that midfield, so dont know if you can find the extra mil. otherwise see if 1mil extra from ode can do some good elsewhere

      1. Emiliano Sala
        • 10 Years

Personally I can’t see gordon overscore johnson for gw1

One to watch - but if Martinelli or Jesus stays sharp, it’s one of them - cheap

Nothing to indicate that Havertz doesn't retain the CF role

Arteta was all praise for Jesus... but then again, he did deploy Jesus on the flank before

Pep has been all praise for Bobb and Ten Hag for Diallo. Second fiddle players need it so they don't ask to leave when they do play.

Depends on whether you have another Arsenal/Man U in your team. Would for me at least. BTW I'd also opt for Ode.

Lowest Score Wins leagues are back!

Pick your team using your entire budget then ‘set it and forget it’, with no transfers, chips, etc. used during the season. Lowest score wins!

    Classic: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/i46foq
    H2H: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/cynn5t

The rules are simple but bear repeating in relative depth:
    1. Use your entire budget to pick your team. You must have 0 left to spend when the season begins.
    2. Do not make any transfers once the season begins.
    3. Do not use any chips during the season.
    4. At the end of the season, the team at the bottom of the table (having correctly followed all rules) wins.

Why??? I just don't understand why anyone would encourage / promote a league like this as you can only submit one team.

Ha. Love it. I remember the era of the most expensive teams would win. Not seen that in years. Nice to make a whole new game AS WELL AS THE OBVIOUS out of FF.
