    Which playing duo:
    Barco & Rogers vs. Dunk
    & Winks?

    1. Hey_Arnold

Nasty but first option until Rogers ousted by Watkins

    Ready to go?
    Hendo
    Porro Gvardiol TAA
    Saka Gordon ESR MGW
    Solanke Haaland Isak

Matthews Barco Cozier D Harwood B

Expensive defense bit all candidates easily capable of goals and assists...

      Bench non existent

      Who is cozier ?

Both bench defenders will play and Cozier is Brighton's new Arsenal secret weapon. Hopefully my suprise finds this season.

Nice team, I’d prob downgrade TAA and upgrade MGW bit defense heavy

Possibly, although MGW on set pieces and peno's with those first 3 openers is too tempting. Can also switch to Nkunku at any point for same price

Hey guys what do you think about this draft?

What do you think about this draft, am I gtg?

    Henderson
Perdro Porro - Gvardiol - Quansah
    Palmer - Saka - Salah - Eze
    Solanek - Isak - Muniz

    Τurner, ESR, Hardwood-Bellis, Barco

The other choice is 4.5 defender + Amad

    A) Porro + Eze + Nkunku

    C) Munoz + Jota + Nkunku

    Haaland - Havertz - Wood

Can we get a vote on the best 4.5 keeper please, taking into account their backup as I got caught out with a few keeper injuries last season.

    I’m thinking Areola Fabianski

I like Areola the most atm. Followed by Henderson if you haven’t got Munoz, then I’d say Flekken

West Ham’s defence was so awful last year. Unless they’ve changed in pre season without me noticing I’d steer clear. I’d maybe go Flekken just for the saves but there’s no obvious choice

      As you wish...

I do think it's a tricky question. Inclined to say Areola once Kilman & Todibo have settled in, or Henderson (but I prefer Muñoz & not sure about doubling). Maybe Flekken but the 4-4 last friendly isn't quite giving me 'back to the defensive strength of 22/3'.

At the moment I'm just avoiding this bracket & going for Pope, but I'm still wondering what I might do with an extra 1m if I went for e.g. Hall & Henderson instead of Pope & Muñoz

Henderson, Areola and Muric for me

I think Ipswich's playstyle will load Muric with save points, like how he ended the season with Burnley. Add his penalty record and you've got a possible template pick. But it's far too early to tell now

Henderson has the best mix of save points + CS potential for now, imo. I'd prefer leaving myself open to triple Palace via other positions though

Areola in a Lopetegui defence is hard to argue against. The doubt is how long it'll take that defence to gel. As bad as they've looked defensively in preseason, I think that's not a big issue for Areola since he racks up saves

      1. HelmutCool
        • 4 Years

Yeah, going with Hendo and Muric myself. Ipswich might at least try to park the buss and defend. Flekken has been horrible preseason.

I could get Wood if I downgrade Nkunku but then he isn’t guaranteed starts either
              I’ve changed CHO to Elanga

Maybe put MGW in place of Nkunku but then I need to find another 5.5 to replace Elanga and I am definitely not doing double Brighton (no other option to Pedro in attack to bring in Minteh)

4 price points are fantastic this year.

    4.5m defenders
    5m midfielders
    5.5m midfielders
    6.5m midfielders

Having no 8m and very few 6m midfields is interesting, those 1 million jumps have contributed to this fantastic pricing from FPL Towers. It's going to be a great season of FPL.

Wildcards will be flying around gameweek 2!

I guess it depends on how nailed you want your picks! I'm also tempted by Jesus up top as I do feel he's been overlooked. That said, he has a rubbish injury record and Havertz can play there too.

    Isak - Solanke

    Bench: Valdimarsson, Robinson, Barco, Jebbison.

Any thoughts? I'm keen on a 'Pool triple up given their fixtures and great pre-season form. I think my weakness is if I want to get Haaland in, then it might be tough.

You're a brave man.. I just can't go without Haaland. Feels like you can easily downgrade after the Ipswich game if needed. Potentially 4 or 5 goals in the first 2 GW 's

It's .5 over budget, isn't it?.. It may be the best non-Haaland squad i've seen

What do we think the best defences will be? Despite city/arsenal of course!

Tempting to give this a big N/A... If Palace can hold on to Guehi & Andersen (and Glasner) I think they'll be decent. Would be brilliant if Ipswich could continue their preseason form and give us some great budget options - I don't think it's entirely far fetched that they end up mid-table but it's still pretty speculative for now (I do have Davis though)

Munoz is a popular pick, what is the appeal of him over someone like Dalot?

better defence and he’s really attacking, probably one of the most advanced defenders in the league
