Best route to Salah? 2 FTs

    Gordon Saka Rogers Eze Jota
    Haaland Isak Muniz

A.) Gordon & Saka >> Salah & any 4.9m Mid (forces me to start Rogers each week)
    B.) Isak & Saka >> Salah & J Pedro

    Alternaitvely ignore Salah (likely captaining Haaland anyway);
    C.) Gordon & Muniz >> Diaz & J Pedro

Isak has Wolves next. You'd be sick if he goes nuts.
I also like Gordan as it's a differential against wolves as well.

Yeh B is my least favourite option, do want to keep Isak.

Gordon I could convince myself to sell, solely because I have Isak already and hes set to drop in price and didn't look great today

If you have had a rough start, it doesn’t particularly make sense to me to WC to bring the players that will already be owned by the players 50+ points ahead of you.

Well of course not, but it just looks a bit reactionary. For instance given their poor fixtures why WC in double Brighton, feels like chasing losses. I assume you’ve already hit the wildcard button?

Well poor fixtures depends on how you frame it. Are Chelsea away and Spurs at home really that bad for an attacker? Also Pedro rotates pretty well with Wissa.

Yes and I see Haaland, Palmer, Raya, AA, Semenyo who are all performing well.

Jota, Rogers, Fabianski who despite points gave good figures and well worth their price.

Isak who has a good couple of fixtures and a good source of funds later.

Watkins with great fixtures to turn form around.

Yes cheap defenders need some work but how many points are you looking for from cheap defenders anyway.

The fact this squad is being called an easy wildcard goes to show how utterly reactionary we all are.

All good and fair points, but Salah is massively lacking, and Newcastle/Isak do not look good right now, as does Watkins. Hall & Barco could also be spruced up, just depends if things want to be shook up, in this case I would.

It's not about whether they'll do well or not though. It's about whether others can do just as well who cost less, allowing this extra money to be spent elsewhere.

Haaland/Salah/both?/neither? challenge: 40m or less for 4 attackers
After 3 weeks (assuming no transfers).

    Haaland/Salah/ESR/Welbeck = 120 points (Welbeck could be Wissa (117), Wood (116), or Pedro (115))
If you went with the popular Haaland/Salah/Nkunku/Muniz = 91 (but, of course, people dropped Nkunku)

Palmer/Saka/Son/Havertz = 92; no real alternative grouping that does anywhere close to this

I went the no Haaland/Salah route; this was the WRONG choice. I am sticking with it. Can't get worse, can it?!?!?

With Haaland and Salah so far ahead of everyone else, as long as you picked ESR/MGW and one of the four enabler forwards, you are doing quite well.

Best defense with 2 premiums and one 4.5m (that at least a good # of people own):
    TAA/Robertson/Robinson = 50 points

I think it's sideways going from Jota to Diaz. Could be Jota's turn to score the goals next week. Also Gakpo is bigger threat to Diaz than Darwin to Jota.

I'd appreciate some advice from the kind veterans on this community.

    This is my team:

    Henderson | Valdimarsson
Gabriel Porro Robinson Pau | Harwood
Palmer Saka Jota Eze | Winks
    Haaland Pedro Muniz*
    0.9 ITB | 1 FT

    I could:
    A. Do nothing and save the FT
    B. Attempt to get Salah for GW 4-8 for Saka. The delta comes from downgrading Jota to one of
    i. Rogers
    ii. Semenyo

If B, I'd be patient and prioritise putting out fires with the IB, so don't worry on that count. I'm attempting to improve my overall play by looking at long-term considerations. I appreciate any advice!

This worth a wildcard or keep the faith? Got lots of bad apples…

    Raya - Turner
    Mykolenko - Barco - Robinson - Konsa - Dunk
    Gordon - Palmer - Madueke - Smith-Rowe - Jota
    Haaland - Isak - Solanke

    to

    Flekken - Fabianski
    TAA - Robinson - Dunk - Greaves - Faes
    Salah - Saka - Eze - Mbeumo - Smith-Rowe
    Haaland - Joao Pedro - Ui-Jo

0.1 itb but will be priced out of the above after tonight. Wish I could afford Palmer but can’t make it work.

    Raya,
    Gvardiol, TAA, Robinson
    Salah, Saka, Palmer, Jota, ESR,
    Muniz, Isak,

    Lis, Faes, Harwood, Fraser

Not the greatest of weeks captaining Palmer but is it worth me panicking over Haaland? After his Hatty I was half tempted to break the team to get him in but at the end of the weekend ended on 65 points which isnt great but isnt terrble. He can't surely get a hatty every week... I know I'd get him in and he'd stop scoring. Keep calm and carry on without Haaland?

I've got him in. Ok he can't keep scoring hat tricks (?) but when so many captain him you're swimming against the tide.

I've captained Salah all 3 games and got away with it but as soon as I got back up to a decent ranking I knew I'd get in Haaland.

I think a lot will be backing a Haaland at home to go for a crazy hat-trick of hat-tricks

Unless someone can correct me, you have to go to back to Liverpool's Jack Balmer in 1946 for that feat to be seen https://www.lfchistory.net/articles/article/906

I'd expect Haaland takes it, for reasons given above.

Initially I was thinking the same and wanted to rush to get Salah in. Although having both is working out now with another premium you might be screwed further down the line.

For now I'm going to hold off and stick with Haaland only for now. What was concerning was how invisible Jota was. But hopefully he'll get a return or two in the next game which softens the Salah blow.
