Suggestions for my team, 3 FTs, 0 ITB.
Ranked 200k, topping my mini league, had Salah captain every gameweek so far, despite one 🙂

    Flekken
    V Berg, Dijk, Colwill, Nouri
    Salah, Mebeumo, Foden
    Cunha, Wood, Haaland
    Fabianski, Buanotte, Rogers, Lewis

My current thoughts is to do Buanotte, Haaland, Foden - > Saka, Palmer, JPedro + 2.6 ITB, okay those, and bench boost

This doesn't make it any easier.

In festive period it will be two teams fighting each other:

Haaland + cheap defense + No Saka
    vs.
    no-Haaland + Saka + stacked defense.

I am still currently in afraid mode and stuck with Haaland and torn whether I should just do some 4.5 defense swaps and keep Haaland or should I change my structure to allow Saka etc. Also Haaland team might be lacking one of the (currently) very well performing cheap forwards such as Pedro for me, at least this gw against Soton (I have also Wissa LEI and Cunha BOU who cannot be transferred out yet).

No offence, but pretty sure 60-70% on this site could have answered this as well. In fact any question about your 'Fourmium' answers itself.

Not really. Walsh from FML FPL is going four-mium and it's viable for him with cheap forwards doing well this season and with there being no good defenders worth paying extra for.

If I had a WC, I'd probably go with a fourmium at the minute. I can't get to it with my team, but I wouldn't say it was a bad idea. Pretty easy to correct, if you felt it wasn't working.

Anyone else considering a Jaoa Pedro captaincy this week?

Captains will be spread across Salah/Palmer/Saka/Haaland this week so less damage in theory if things go wrong (as long as you also at least own those players).

I don't own Saka or Haaland so the obvious choice is Salah then Palmer (IMO) but I think an in form Pedro who is against Saints at home could be a gamble worth making. The lack of guaranteed minutes is the real kicker though.

Yeah it's tempting as both Palmer and Salah hauls a bit uncertain this week. Pedro surely scores vs SOU.

Amorim said in his presser that he will have to rotate. He also said the players that play today will not train for 2 days or something like that.
I would assume if Dalot starts today, it won't help his chances to start at the weekend.

Been planning it for weeks, but is this finally the GW to ditch Haaland? 3FT, £4.7m ITB

    Haaland to Joao Pedro,
    McNeil to Palmer/Saka

... is appealing. Leaves a whopping £8.8m ITB to do... pretty much anything else either now with the remaining FT, or in future weeks. Thoughts and alternative suggestions always appreciated!

    Flekken (4.0)
    Gabriel Ait-Nouri Robinson (Lewis Faes)
    Salah Mbeumo ESR Rogers (McNeil)
    Haaland Jimenez Cunha(c)

I would do those moves (I ditched Haaland last week, and even that was too late).
Triple Fulham seems to be excessive as well. Would get both Saka and Palmer this week if it was me, especially with 3 FT.

Have Wood currently, and looking to move to Joao Pedro next GW. However, I am tempted by the form of Joao Pedro and contemplating about bringing the move forward to this GW. It is now a comparison between who will score more points in 'similarly-easy' fixtures. Who scores more in GW13?

    1) Wood (H) vs Ipswich
    2) Joao Pedro (H) vs Soton

Saka has got better numbers in last 2-3 games. Fixtures kind of similar and wont be captaining any of them. And possibly thats my easiest route to Saka.

          • 11 Years

Palmer had considerably harder fixtures so not really a fair comparison

    5. Eze Really?
      • 11 Years
      1 year, 4 months ago

      My thoughts:
Palmer could run riot against a defensive high line.
      Saka clearly on form.
      Odegaard back to help Saka.
Palmer forced deeper if Enzo plays. Enzo in his way.
      Palmer a higher ceiling IMO.
      Saka away from home.

Tactical change in Palmer playing deep and Enzo further forward in the last game was due to Gusto was ill and no recognised FB at RB. I don't expect this to happen again

Hard to tell. I think the plan definitely seems to be 3-2-5 in attack. That means one of the fullbacks pushes into an inside forward position (if two wingers) or wide (if two tens). I think Enzo drifted forward given the opposition and space, but maybe got in Palmer's way.

          1. Tonyawesome69
            • 7 Years

It's normally Gusto from RB that pushes forward when in possession.

Thanks, from the (limited) games I've seen it was Cucurella running into the left inside forward position, and then out wide this past GW to accommodate Felix. He didn't seem to be doing much, but it got the 5 in attack and distracted the opposition defence. It also allowed Palmer to be in the inside right position. I'm not sure how it would work with Gusto and Felix. I guess Gusto back would mean having to play a Neto or Sancho in LW and dropping Felix.

    6. Hairy Potter
      • 10 Years

As a Haaland keeper, I think I could be tempted by Palmer & Wissa plus cash to Saka & Jackson in a few GWs. I'd initially discounted Saka in my threemium, but he might be a steady accumulator of points against Palmer's hauls and blanks.

      1. Holmes
        • 12 Years

Yep, thats the route I'm willing to move forward on. Palmer is not my type, its easier to keep Saka.

One man's 'recency bias' is another man's 'form'.

Cheers, leaning that way but he may not make the starting line up again anyway.

Not a lot to choose from in DEF, best in the 4.5 region?
    a) Hall
    b) Van Hecke
    c) Other

Hall only if you can rotate. Van Hecke better if you want to play him every week.

Is Welbeck to Pedro too sideways of a move? Pedro is on penalties and more creative, but Welbeck remains their number nine.
It would leave me with zero free transfers.

I am about to own both. Think I'd prefer to own JP due to form but Welbeck could suddenly haul and make the swap very hard to swallow.

I can't do that, I'm not selling Cunha / Haaland. Maybe I'll give Welbeck the Southampton game and decide afterwards. He's given me so many points this season and has a great run for fixtures ahead that I'd like to keep him, but Pedro looks fantastic value. Tough call.

Haaland to J. Pedro transfer already locked for me. Also tempted to do a second transfer for a hit. Should I...

    A) Rogers to Saka
    B) Semenyo to Saka
    C) No hit

    Cheers.

I would like to keep Semenyo long term, so probably A, Rogers played 90 minutes yesterday and his prospects against Chelsea don't look great.

Does B.Johnson start this week? Contemplating if him to Saka is worth a -4
