Slightly favouring McKenna/Ipswich home fixture against Spurs at the moment. Ipswich did win the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Glasner would be a bit more appealing if it was a home fixture but tough to call away to a good Fulham side. Palace lost the reverse fixture.

            https://www.soccerstats.com/homeaway.asp?league=england#google_vignette

To add context we beat Spurs (our only win after 13 games), and Southampton at home (after going behind). Thats it and drew with Man City and Leicester

I would look up the opponents we have beaten away from home for more context. We beat Ipswich and Leicester away in 6 pointers. Drew with Newcastle as Isak went off, and drew with Chelsea away, and at home. Drew away to Bournemouth 0-0 in their goal-scoring run. Beat Brighton and unlucky not to beat Villa. Play high lines. Was ideal for Sarr (who has been injured until yesterday with tight hammy). So is Eze and Wharton though, (Eze has had drainage from swelling on his foot for weeks, but ran a bit better yesterday before he "just looked lazy". We know we now why.

We lost 1-5 to Arsenal at home. That won't happen away. I may go Glasner away to City and Newcastle in DGW32for that reason.

Fulham home and away records it identical.

It is MCkenna or Glasner otherwise play "safe".

I think we beat Fulham. More confident than i am playing Everton or Villa at home.

Erm.... can anyone explain why Salah wasn't given the assist for Diaz's goal? According to the BBC's live text commentary Salah provided the pass.

    1. Big Mike

"The Colombia forward ended a run of 10 games without a goal as he bundled the ball over the line after Salah's pass was deflected in the box by Wolves defender Toti Gomes".

That was taken from the BBC's very own match report.

I just did and I'm still adamant that Salah should get the assist. I'm not sure that the word deflect should be used either as the defender's touch didn't cause the ball to change direction. The ball still would have reached Diaz irrespective of whether the defender got a touch or not.

No assist if there's an unforced error leading to a goal scoring opportunity - Toti made a meal of the attempted clearance.

I have no idea what highlights you have watched. It's clear Jota was the intended target for Salah's pass and the Wolves defender tried to clear it changing direction significantly towards Diaz at the back post

"If an opposing player deflects the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist in Fantasy is awarded. "

            • 3 Years

I've just watched highlights of the goal (several times) and it's not clear that Jota was the target at all. If you follow the line of direction that the ball was travelling in then the pass was more likely to be intended for Diaz, as he was in front of his defender while Jota was being closely man marked.

I'm not convinced that the word deflection should be used either as the defender's touch didn't alter the direction of the ball. If the defender didn't get a touch then the ball would most likely have been to Diaz's feet.

The ball would have got to the keeper way before Diaz with no deflection.

Disagree. The goalie had more chance of getting to the ball after the defender's touch, as it took some of the pace off the pass, but Diaz still got there first. So for me Diaz would have got to the ball first without the defender's touch as it would have come into him a lot quicker and into feet which would have made it easier to score.

Ball wasn't getting past the 2nd defender marking Jota without the massive deflection if you think the GK doesn't get it.

Difficult to see that happening, as the defenders touch takes a lot of pace off the pass. If there was no touch off the defender then Jota may have scored instead of Diaz, as the ball would have come in to the centre of the box a lot quicker.

The defender's touch can't be regarded as a deflection, as the trajectory of the ball didn't change. It just slowed the ball down.

It doesn't matter who the intended target was - the point is that Salah should have been awarded with the assist.

Anyone thinking of WC before GW29? What's the ultimate WC GW for you?

I haven't used the AM chip and planning for AM31 for Howe, the window for WC is then rather limited. WC now could be an option?

Thanks, that's originally my thought dead-ending BGW29. With Amad injuries among others, it seems I need to take hits for GW29 fielding 11 hence thinking of use WC now maximise it for as optimal as possible navigating through BGW29 without hits saving 3-5 FTs i.e. 2nd mini WC post BGW29. Bit complicated, I know 😛

The FH team in GW29 looks good. May try and keep Liverpool Palace Newcastle through now.

Still not sure as Gapko to Cunha looks good next week.

Mine for context is Raya (Fabs)
          Hudjsen TAA Hall Myko Munoz
          Salah Palmer Kluivert Rogers Mbumbo

            Salah Palmer Kluivert Elanga (Amad*)

Yeah and Palmer away to Arsenal. (Things can change of course it quickly does after Southampton and Leicester),

I am going to punt i think on the upside of GW29 fixtures compared to GW34 (as it stands),

I have even thought (if we dont get knews before GW31 deadline, is to play Glasner away to Man City and Newcastle) GW32, anyway and see on GW33 and GW34. WC35. or go for as many double 32/33 play BB then and WC35 for AM chip. Sounds a bit nuts, but at the top of my mini leagues one is 10k the other is 5k. I am on 300k, which isnt bad with AM chip in hand? But they are doing so well.

I dont care if i finish 500k or lower really, and go for the upside. I am not in a position to play like Pras and Harry at the moment and err on the side of caution.

I was 200 in the world when Man Utd had 3 in a week on Covid and got NOW broadband to watch every game. Played it safe and didnt get Greenwood GW36 and went 1k. My biggest regret , as it will be the only time i am ever that high again. (Lingard season). Started with triple West Ham, and everything went right.

Most of the time it is the Mini Leagues, which more often than not, I do very well in, but not this year.

So will play a little different i think and see what happens.

Its not a brag, most of the time just happy to finish as high as i can, but the friendly rivalry, and for some reason, i am not doing well as comparded to others and they have all played thir AM chip)> Just thinking of ways from finishing mid table to haul at the end. Only one (the ex Yahoo FF Facebook group) is a bit more competitive as that one, the guy who won was 2k last year, but he is 500k this year.).

Always seems in that league someone has an amazing season, so one that one once.

It's just all fun n games.

It’s not ideal as 30 we likely won’t know exactly what the fixtures will be and 34 is looking like FH. I think options are either gamble on WC in 30 and AM 31-33 and hope it works out. Or AM before or after that period and WC in 31 or 32 with BB in 33. There’s some decent bonus single gws but could be all or nothing on AM!

I quite like the chip. but it is very manic. Especially with such short notice this year with the fixtures changing.

I will FH29, i think and will dead end 34 with 4-5 FT transfers hopefully then WC. I could even play with 8-9. If the SF is as predicted, but we still don't know.

It is whether to get as many doublers in which is easier for me on FH29 over 32/33 and BB and then AM in 36 after WC, but i could do AM 31-33 without WC and BB36 with 37 blanks.

May get Gordon in GW28 haha

    Best Slot replacement

A - Arteta (WHU) safeish win points plus goals/CS
B - Glasner (ful) - potential table bonus for win or draw

Damn i was 20% going Gapko to Cunha for a hit to get in early so I would not need a FH29. Thought it was a bit rash, but to take a hit and roll FT's

I'm in the same both. I'm not going to sell him this week as Amad--Dango is more important move.

Pretty hard to bet against Salah in ridiculous form against City’s dodgy defence, especially considering his record against them

Yea. I'll have to see how my opinion changes through the week. I do need to check Salah's record vs City tbh.

But I just look at Leicester and think there is more haul potential. Salah will no doubt return, but I feel like Mbeumo has a good chance of a brace at least.

Yep and the corner this weeknd. I wonder if the 300 mile round trip is worth it sometime. Waied for 5 minutes for the VAR and got 6 minutes of injury time.

I know we pissed the game away, but after 6 times of Everton pulling back Palace players on Counter attacks (and taking one for the team) in the 2nd half and it wasn't until about the 6th one in the 80th minute they finally get yellow.

Glasner is more gracious than me haha

    Pickford
    TAA/Gab/Munoz

        lol.

As Chalaboh didn't want to go back, maybe a swap deal with Nketiah is on the cards 🙂

Feel sorry for Nketiah though. Asked to play in Olise role, until Sarr got fit, then Eze got injured, so had to play there. He only played a no.9 once and scored, but it was clearly offside after 30 seconds against Liverpool, where it is the only game he has played there.
