    What is going on here?

Leicester's key passes conceded from the left and right here https://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/team-stats/defending/ is much different to their chances conceded on the left and right here https://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/team-profiles/leicester-city/

I thought key passes conceded/chances conceded were the same thing.

One suggests Leicester is more vulnerable on the right; the other suggests the left.

I bought Schade in based off this data and it derailed my season.

Leicester 126 key passes conceded from the left. 93 right.

Other table says 93 chances conceded left. 126 right.

Something has gone wrong there. One of the tables is the wrong way around.

Mods need to take a look.

Which one do you think is correct? The first table says left flank i.e. Leicester LB, the 2nd table says right flank i.e right wing from opponent.

One says flank; the other just says conceded from the right/left. For me, the left flank is the same as the left and vice versa.

I'm not familiar with the table but you may be reading it wrong. Trent crosses from right back leading to a shot. Leicester concede a key pass from the right (from the perspective of the attacker who is making the pass) and concede a chance from the left (from the perspective of the defender) would lead to the outcome you describe.

One table says Leicester conceded 126 chances from the left lank.

The other table says 93 chances conceded from the left.

That's the exact wording. Left flank and the left are the same side to me.

So when the table says they have conceded 126 chances from the LEFT FLANK it means they have conceded 126 chances from the RIGHT?

Left flank = left back, getting attacked from the right equals chances allowed from left flank.

The right back and right wing from opposition have created 126 chances.

Thanks for this and the discussion above, I think it could have been better worded, and I've now made both pages consistent.

A little while ago we simplified the inverted pitch zone function for defending teams, now it is the same on both the defending stats and team profile pages.

As part of this change, I've renamed "chances conceded" to "key passes conceded" to be clear.

Using the terms "chances conceded" and "chances created conceded" leaves room for misunderstanding, I feel. Given that we talk about big chances, meaning the shot, or chance quality in relation to xG, again meaning the shot, I felt "key passes conceded" was most clear in this context.

So if there was a pass leading to a shot, where did that pass originate?

For "key passes conceded (zone)" and "crosses conceded (zone)" the left and right is from the defending team's perspective.

So if a team concedes a lot of crosses down their left, that's good for the opposition right winger or right back.

And we're talking about the creative players here, the chance creators, rather than those taking the shots.

We don't have a stat for shots conceded (zone) because the vast majority of shots are in the middle/centre of the pitch. A look at any xG shot map will confirm this - shots taken centrally have a much greater chance of resulting in a goal. And we define zones by thirds, so I'm talking about the middle third of the pitch here.

I also made the mistake of getting Schade for Leicester, so I can sympathise! I thought he looked really good in the first 10/15 minutes but things didn't quite fall his way, and then he hit the post later on. Perhaps his confidence dropped? He obviously got a hat-trick the first time he played them, and if anything Leicester have got worse since then, so I don't think it was a bad decision to get him. Definitely not the right outcome, however.

Thank you so much TM. I appreciate you looking into this.

Just to be clear, have Leicester conceded 126 chances on their left or right side?

Whether it is the defending teams left or the attacking teams right is very confusing.

          Their left. Attacking team's right.

And that's chances created conceded or key passes conceded (same thing)

To get Haaland in means I’ll need to also do:

    Isak to Beto
TAA to 4.5 like Wan Bissaka

Both Isak and TAA look to have good fixtures either side of their blank, so I’m not thinking it’s worth it.

Get Wissa (already have Mbeumo) or Marmoush instead?

    1. Boberella

Maybe Marmoush then, but not guaranteed he’s nailed. It’s a shame to lose isak and Trent for Haaland. Especially with Isak’s double coming up.

Looks ok to roll, depending how certain you are of Dango with evanilson back.
If you have FTs it’s probably not a bad idea to use 1 on replacing Hall or Cunha

Am I GTG? Had somehow luck with injuries. No Bre cover atm, which is the only worry I have.

    2FT, 1.2 ITB

    Sels
    TAA/Gabriel/Munoz
    Salah/Palmer/Bowen/Semenyo
    Isak/Wood/JP

    Fabianski/Nwaneri/Robinson/Mykolenko

      Sels
      Trent Kerkez Munoz
      Salah Palmer Mbuemo Rogers Dango
      Isak Wood

      Fabianski, Cunha, Hall, VandenBerg

2FT and 2.5M in bank. WC, FH and BB left. I had been wanting to save the FH but I feel like I can't now given Cunha, Hall injuries and VandenBerg. What transfers look best here?

1 - Hall to Ait Nouri
      2 - Hall to Gvardiol
      3 - Cunha to Marmoush
      4 - Cunha to Wissa
      5 - roll and reassess

Reply fail, evanilson could be cheeky

      Wissa for safety
