Why wouldn’t he? You think he’s not going to play a competitive match for 10 days before the biggest game of the season?

He's just confirmed he is going to rotate 4 or 5 players in the post match presser. Quote below.

Hope he does as my chosen captain but bench more likely and bring him on if needed. Arsenal pretty much guaranteed CL so not an important match.

That's good. I saw a few people on 46. I got 56 earlier in the season and didn't think many people would beat that, but looks like you have a good chance.

I honestly don't know. I think yesterday was more of a loss due to tactics than personnel. Barnes and Murphy probably "should" start, but one could easily be benched for Gordon. One will probably get 90ish, one 60ish and the other 30ish minutes.

Thanks. I cant / wont change anything with Barnes/Murphy. But I am sure Gordon starts.

That would be the third or fourth game in a row he didn't start, so IMO, he is surely rotated in. I actually think it will be for Murphy, not Barnes.

Yeah, maybe the loss gives an excuse to change things up. With the wins and Howe in hospital, there may have been a reluctance to change the tactics and lineup.

Yeah, seems worth too much compared to the other chips. Not sure if the data supports that, but I’m on 14 (one to play) with BB this week and feel happy with that, and BB takes just as much planning as Assman

46 with Assman with palace(h) to go for arteta after Salah TC in 24

Good to see the patience being rewarded after the rhetoric on here (and among CC) that it was a no brainer to use it in 24 and everybody who kept AM missed the boat

It’s been interesting how well it covers doubles. I didn’t WC or BB these last few weeks but Howe, Isak and Murphy covered Newcastle and then some, while the only Arsenal I had was Saka and I’m on a massive green

      1. Nightcrawler
        • 6 Years

It's been saving me for the past 3 weeks

No WC/FH or BB these weeks either and I'm almost always on a red arrow until the final game of the week. Newcastle twice and now arsenal hopefully

One golden rule of AM when tripling up is always go for the attacker as the third pick. It worked with Murphy over Newcastle defenders last two weeks. Shd have gone with trossard over Kiwior this gw. Went against my own rule and it's cost me. Almost impossible for a defender to outscore AM but the attacker can

Howe Howe Arteta? I did the same

      1. Nightcrawler
        • 6 Years

Yeah I think playing it safe works in a dgw cuz two easy wins get u the same points as a table bonus win. Anyone getting two consecutive tablets bonus points is highly improbable

For SGWs it's better to target the table bonus games cuz the ceiling for safe AM is too low.

That's as my thinking for the AM before playing it. Got lucky with Howe playing a toothless Leicester then a dgw straight after otherwise would have wanted somebody else for the sgw

The gameweek so far serves as a good reminder for those of us FHing in GW34. Is loading up on v. SOU, IPS, and LEI the way to go or will we overlook players with trickier looking fixtures who may become the top scorers next week?

    1. have you seen cyan
      • 6 Years
      7 months, 20 days ago

I think you have a point. The time for targeting the bottom 3 is passing. The relegation teams often start improving once they have nothing to play for.

I have been targeting some hard fixtures in the last 2 weeks, an example would be me playing Wissa and Mbeumo next week vs NFO.

Perhaps. I am not free hitting in 34, so they are both in my team for the end of the season anyway. I'm not specifically targeting NFO. I probably made it sound like that lol.

          I think Brentford score though.

I am planning to have triple Newcastle attack at least. They are playing home and just conceded 4. I expect strong bounce back. Salah is enough Liv for me.

Ah. I think what I typed above is worded wrong/badly in response to OP. Triple Newcastle next week for example is a no brainer. I guess what I meant is, aside from weeks like these where chips are in play, there's not much point bringing in players to target these teams.

Bad reply from me, he is talking about 34 specifically, where as I am talking rest of season.

I didn't bring in Saka because scout's predicted line ups said he would be benched. Disappointing to get such a massive call wrong. I think the 3 day rather than a 2 day gap was the deciding factor here. Had the game been yesterday Saka would have been on the bench.

Looks pretty good / template. I don't like Palmer particularly, but everyone has him. Think I would be tempted to have Kepa, and then Sessegnon or Robinson.

I think it's worth swerving Palmer and Mbeumo on a FH

Mbeumo! I transferred him back in yesterday 🙁

I had to undo what I had done. Did Mbeumo>Eze for 32. What a fail that was.

On paper a good move - just unlucky.

I'm bringing him and Wissa back in for 35 - hopefully!!

Yea. It was basically unavoidable. I was always going to cave into the double, no point pretending I wouldn't have.

I really hope we are right sticking with them. Its so late in the season, it might make or break things.

Dumb a55 question - if you play the free hit can you pick your squad, save and make changes for free throughout the week?

If you take someone out who you had profit in, and then try to put them back in later. You will be paying more. Whatever you do this week wont mess with your team value outside of this week, but you can harm your value this week.

It's like a wildcard, you get locked out at deadline and get your GW33 team back.

Can get 11 out for 34 using FTs:- Mateta & Sarr > Mbeumo & Cunha

    Verbruggen
    Milenkovic Kerkez Schar
    Murphy Palmer Minteh Salah Mbeumo
    Cunha Isak

    Raya Gvardiol Munoz Marmoush

Would you take a -4 for Munoz or Gvardiol > RAN?
Would probably mean benching Minteh (WHU) or Kerkez (MUN).

Play Free Hit ina GW 34, or save FH take -4 and I can have this starting XI:

    Areola
Kerkez - Milenkovoc - Murillo - Van de Berg
    Salah - Palmer - Mbeumo - Murphy
    Isak - Wissa

Bench: Raya, Saka, Gvardiol, Marmoush (no match in GW34)

    What do you think?

        Leno
        Robinson - Virgil - Milenkovic
Salah - Palmer - Murphy - Barnes (Iwobi)
Isak - Cunha - Strand Larsen

How much better? What do you think?

Need to factor in how different your GW35 teams will be and how much better GW36/37 will be with a saved FH.
If you think both Wolves forwards score well then FH34 might be the way to go.

Well your team is well placed for a blank 37 as well - id leave the FH open for a double 36

But we dont know what might/might not happen.

RP. If you could have 7 GW34 players for free including Livra, Murph and Isak (and Areola, Milenkovic and Salah), is it actually worth a FH?

Unsure if a -4 or -8 would be better and just go with 8 or 9, although unlikely to be able to capitalise on many more DGWs with keeping FH.

I've got 8 GW34 players plus 1 FT and unfortunately feel like I have to WC (no FH). It feels like those on FH will not only have 11 players, but better than what I've got.

When do you think your wildcard will be more beneficial? This week, or another week?

This week doesn't strike me as the best time to use a wc.

I get why you are thinking that. But could it net you more points if you used it with 36 in mind? I'd assume yes. But 36 is largely unknown, and that's weeks away.

You could take a -4 and field 10. You will get a red, but as I said, would the WC get you more points later and set you up better.

        1. Hairy Potter
          • 10 Years

Yeah, maybe it would be better later. GW35 would be an option, as I think we will know what GW36/37 look like. Also I've got a BB to use, which I'm not fussed about now.

I need to do a bit of planning (not my favourite!) and see what my WC team would look like this week compared to delaying it.

          Thanks, I'll have a think.

Its tricky for sure. Not sure what I would do. I say you could field 10, but would I do that? Not sure. Its really hard to do what you think is right in fantasy at times.

Like most I’m likely FH this week. I’ve had a read through the site and googled a bit but hoping you can help me out.

If I make some ‘normal’ transfers now and save them, then change ‘that’ team using the FH, will my GW35 team:
    a) Revert to my team as at the end of GW33 or
    b) Revert to the team post transfers but pre FH in GW34

    Hope that makes sense. TIA
