Don't usually bother with the team reveals but after checking out that BB1 squad I'm not sure it's a compelling argument to use the chip immediately.

GW2 looks much better for me, especially if you’re not planning an early WC. 2x 4.0 Coventry defenders against Hull is a great cheap bench to start. Add your favourite 4.5 GK and Gross (or another 5.5 attacker) and you’re not spending much to get a good bench. Can still get Haaland and Bruno with this as well so no big name compromise.

Bench Boost or not, I think this team stinks tbh

Thoughts on BB2 with this team:
    Lammens Kinsky
Mosquera Tarkowski Gvardiol Thomas van Ewijk
Le Fee Bruno Szoboszlai Groß Tavernier
    Haaland Joao Pedro DCL

    Targeted Coventry def who

are playing a Hull side who I expect to be very poor (23rd on xG last season!)

I like it. Very similar to my BB2 team bar 4 players.

      Instead of
      Grob, Lammens, Tark and Gvardiol

      Iv got
      Mbeumo, Petrovic, Shaw and Ballard

If you’ve spending 6 mil to have Tavernier for GW2 then having Tarkowski is not ideal. I think he’s overpriced at 6mil too

Thanks. Its good to know you are on the right track and I expect there will be lots more changes to that team before the deadline as more people start to like the idea of an early bench boost and more of a template team is established!
I've had Shaw, Ballard and Petrovic in other draft ideas but I'm just not convinced by Mbeumo with Man U have lots of options in attacking positions. I like Groß as he has multiple routes to points now including pens. Having players that have pens is a main theme in my team which is why I like Tavernier (should be on pens?)

Yeah absolutely I will probably make some changes too. I really like the BB2 strategy though. Get it out the way and take all the money out of the bench when you wildcard. I’m hoping to last until international break to use WC but open to using it earlier if there a multiple bandwagons to jump on 🙂

My thoughts are similar about WC. Would be good to leave it to GW6 to pick a strong team based on 5 games rather than slightly guessing. BB2 seems to best option rather than forcing it later on and it not working out!

    There's no template.

It's so hard to build a decent gameweek 1 draft.

Mark has done such a good job with the pricing!

After days of tinkering still not sure what the better strategy is. What’s everyone doing?
