Has this been the easiest season ever?
The likes of Kane and Austin plus plenty of budget defenders and mids seems to have made this season very easy, for the active, forum type players.
As evidence i point to the top 1000 league which has a condition of entry that player must of had a previous top 1000 finish.
Normally in other seasons where my rank is about 760 (as now) i am normally in the top ten in the top ik league. This season im not even in the top 20 despite 760 rank.
Take last season as an example, many of the usual good players struggled as the casuals favourites defied logic and outperformed expectations.
Personally i dont think i have played particularly well this season , yet am still in top 1k. Hopefully next season will be more challenging
I personally think it has been really tough this season. There hasn't been enough differentials options to spice things up. Whoever had good start, say for 10 weeks, done well as they gone for template afterwards, with the likes of, Kun, Hazard, Ivan/Terry, Hazard, Silva, Saints defender etc.
Ranked 7K and not happy with it.

I was 400k at wk 7 and am 300 now.
I think there were some real transformative weeks, like wk 8&31 and the key was to be on the right side of those, most of the weeks were a bit ho hum as you are alluding to.

I agree. I've made a lot of silly decisions this year, selling Costa early on, never owning Giroud or the budget Arsenal defenders, keeping Walcott for 2 months, making crap captain choices due to boredom, I could go on and on... Yet I'm in the top 1k. I don't really know how tbh.

I don't feel like my decisions have been any better than last year yet last year was a real struggle just to break the top 10k where as this year I've cruised into top 1k.

Maybe the radical price hikes/movements last season "forced" the casuals to jump on to players like Yaya/Ramsey resulting in them doing very well while the more educated FPL managers(us...lol) took our time telling our selves these players won't keep on scoring thereby missing the boat?

I did not have Silva last 3 weeks and also in GW26 for his 17 point haul. I benched Kane against Chelsea and didnt captain him against Leicester. But I am still in top 300.

I have hazard, my opponent has benteke (he will make him captain as I am 45 points ahead), we both have aguero. Shall I captain aguero and play it safe or hazard? To be honest it won't matter as long as benteke doesn't score 4 lol

Two options I suppose - Welbeck makes it back or Sanchez plays there.
If I had him I think I'd keep though.Strong possibility. Final GW are renowned for rotation / fringe or youth players being given a chance. Expect arsene to make 4-5 changes but that's just my opinion. Could see Gabriel, Monreal / debuchy (if fit) to rosicky coq and wally all handed starts
