    A lot of price falls from players with decent ownership.

    Its gonna be tough to avoid them all! No point wasting a transfer selling Coates, for example.

    A massive haul of 10 points so far this week with Sanchez, Ozil, Richie, Az, Kosch still to go.

    Hoping that Sanchez brings home the bacon tomorrow... bringing in Adrian was a real stroke of wisdom 🙁

    Itching to play my wildcard but keep telling myself not to panic... think I'll try and hold out until at least GW4 but I'm sitting on a total of only 40 points!!

      Well A if Hazard, but mainly Chelsea, wake up because it removes the Arsenal lottery.

      However Arsenal are usually more cut throat than Chelsea, Chelsea usually shut up shop quite early, so maybe C.

      As you can tell though, I love a bit of Aguero and Silva double up. Silva is still immense value IMO.

    SCOUT PICKS CHALLENGE - GW2 AND SCORING UPDATE

    Good evening everyone! I've got some important news below on the Scout Picks Challenge.

    *** SCORING UPDATE ***

    Apologies for the lack of a spreadsheet link to access scoring of the SPC, there was a very good reason behind this.

    As I mentioned during pre-season, I wanted to update the scoring engine to make it more viable to score points. For example, this gameweek we had (a record) 74 players enter the challenge. It doesn't make sense to only have 3 of those players score base points.

    Therefore I've introduced the following new scoring system for this season;

    - Top player 1 scores 3 points (same as before)
    - Top 4% of the population will rank "second" and score 2 points.
    - Top 10% of the population will rank "third" and score 1 point.

    Bonus points are unchanged, therefore beating the FFS Scout Picks + Differentials will score an additional bonus point as before.

    *** MORE FREQUENT UPDATES ***

    Thanks to macros I received from Billy Gilmore last season which I have now manipulated to fit my current spreadsheet, scores are provided directly from the FPL website and can be updated at the click of a button (rather than me spending an additional hour inputting scores).

    This means as long as I have inputted the teams during the gameweek, the spreadsheet will be updated each matchday for viewing.

    *** COMMUNITY ROUNDUP ***

    Admittedly, I've been ridiculous rubbish at emailing the Scouts during the GW (mainly because I fell behind) to have winners included in the Community Roundup. With the new ease of score updates (again all credit to Billy Gilmore), I'll be able to stay on track and this will be reflected with more inclusions in the Community Roundup.

    *** LAST COMMENTS AND SPREADSHEET ***

    I'd like to take this opportunity to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has been supportive of the Scout Picks Challenge. I always read comments on squads (regardless of whether I reply) and the positive comments left by others keep driving me to provide this competition gameweek after gameweek, even when I'm snowed under.

    The spreadsheet is now updated but there will be layout updates over the following weeks (mainly in the support sheets, not the main squad one) to improve visibility and format. More colour coding will be used, and I'll also be implementing automatic squad validation (again, massive shoutout to Billy Gilmore) so I'll be able to inform people issues before the deadline (hopefully).

    *** MID-GAMEWEEK RANKINGS ***

    As viewable on the spreadsheet, here is the current standings for the first SPC gameweek;

    1st - Gussy (45pts)
    Top 4% - Dusan Citizen, Anuth (41pts)
    Top 10% - Kalmoffit, Mr Robot (40pts), Balders (39pts), Krzys (38pts), Saint Suarez (37pts)

    With Innsie, Freemlan, The Wayfarer and MB10 all one point away (36pts) from joining the rankings!

      Top work! And kudos to Billy G for the rigging up the automated gubbins behind the scenes.

      I always felt this game was superior to the Scout's version; with regular Community Round-up updates, it can run seamlessly in parallel with their game - and needn't be overshadowed by it.

      I like the scoring tweaks and I'm delighted this is growing in popularity and getting the recognition it deserves.

    I hope when ppl have jumped on bandwagons... Players that I have picked also start scoring and I feel some joy too. the likes of Mane Sterling Benteke Hazard...

      Of all my initial picks Mane and Pelle have dissapointed me the most so far. Unlike Benteke they haven't moved clubs and had decent pres seasons/Europea league.

    Guys, I've just head a rush of blood to the head and pushed the button on my Wildcard. Would love to hear your opinions on this new line-up.

    Azpilicueta - Bellerin - Gomez (Huth - Francis)
    Hazard - Payet - Milner - Mahrez (Coquelin)
    Aguero - Benteke - Gomis

    1.5M ITB

    It's subject to some tweaking over the coming week (specifically Coquelin who I've been having second thoughts since the season kicked off), but I wanted to not miss out on the current price of Gomis and Payet.

    What do you think guys?

        Thanks for your thoughts mate.

        Yeah, it's a tough one that. I'm a Liverpool fan and I agonised over which to go for. Hendon is taking set pieces at the moment, but he's not great at them and we all expect him to eventually have those duties taken away and given to Milner. Either way, I'm gambling that Milner will offer more goals/assists fro open play than Hendo.

        Taking that spot aside... Looking good yeah?

      Agree that Costa is pricey for his injury issues. Otherwise strong. If I were to have one Chelsea player, it would be Hazard, but then maybe that's cos I have.
