We delve into the members data this evening after the Gameweek came to its conclusion last night. Stoke, Southampton and Watford’s forwards all come under analysis, whilst Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez make a strong claim for immediate investment on the back of their weekend showings.
1. Damian less injury prone, but not much between the 2 really.
2. RedmondShould I sell any one of Ramsey, Sterling and Depay? They all have been underperforming and are nearing price fall.
1 FT and 0.4 itbSterling's the priority of those three. There's better (and cheaper) options in the City midfield.
Depay won't fall after his Messi like performance last night
I would not sell Depay after his performance yesterday! Sterling looks pretty good but has been a little unlucky - Maybe change to Yaya
No keep them all. The price change sites are a long way from being accurate.
Thank you all for your reply.
Good thing with Sanchez is if he does not produce its very easy to switch to Hazard. Ozil has the advantage that the extra 2.5 million is a massive upgrade elsewhere in the team, but all but rules out Hazard
The other reason to ignore Sanchez and Hazard is that with Aguero such an obvious capt choice they are somewhat devaluedThe only risk with your last point is if Kun gets injured, and his history with hamstrings and the like does not fill me with confidence for a full season, it is hard to upgrade to Haz/Sanchez
I decided a long time ago I can't have Haz and Kun in my team early on.
Silva PPG is as good as Haz and I see no reason why it won't remain the same. Injuries to either of Kun or Silva makes it easy to revert to Haz.Smeggs I got back to you on conversion rates.
Thanks

Hi guys, can you help!?
A) lukaku (or another 8 mil striker), coutinho, mane
Or
B) benteke, depay, Barkley
Means that I have some liv and eve cover in both teams. Got a feeling about Everton doing well during these tough fixtures!
Thanks!A. Coutinho looks hungry for goals.
with poor finishing .. rather shoud supply to tekkers
This tbh. His shooting is woeful (and therefore wasteful)
Agree. Was frustrating to watch as with Benteke(C)
But he'll get goals imo
A. Yaya and sakho
B. Silva and ighaloA
A
do u think oxford will start at the weekend ?
50/50 .. no IMO
I'm starting him, if he doesn't play then richards will get subbed on.
Don't see it. Bilic specifically praised Obiang's contribution and a 16yo kid ain't gonna keep him out of the team now he's fit. Impressive debut but understandably Oxford will have to do some learning.
Imagine the uproar if Aguero snaps his hammie this weekend...
back to 3-5-2
Then I would be happy I got his goal against Chelsea
You must be one of those Shiny Happy People...
That makes no sense......what has happened has happened .....the only think to be 'happy' about is the present and future
What?
not sure either
Would make my team more balanced going forward!
Do most people go for a cheap (4.5m) Mid/Fwd 'bencher' and just have a main front 7?
This worked for me last season with Georgey Boyd, but I've gone for a full attacking 8 (on a WC) and with rotation it could pay dividends. But it does run the risk of leaving good points on the bench.Hate leaving my a +5.5 mid on the bench or a +6.5 striker. I guess without hazard that is possible though.
Yea it's a Hazard-less team. But with the indifferent start to the season I'd prefer an extra option rather than a player who I'll never play. Once I need Hazard in I should be able to downgrade to a bencher somewhere and have just a front 7.
Rotating attackers are unnecessary headaches Imo. Always better to have 4.5m bench fodder with a heavy front 7.
Scenario 7m 7.5m (Ayew/Payet) vs 1x4.5m 1x10m (Wanyama Silva)
Basically you have an extra 2.5m wasting on the bench every week.
At the end of the season, your Ayew/Payet rotations from fixtures must do better than the season points difference between Silva and Payet, which may be well over 50 points. So you would prefer
Sanchez, Hazard, Yaya, Mahrez, 4.5
over
Sanchez, Silva, Chadi, Ayew, Mahrez?
I'd rather have points on the bench than not in my squad at all.
If you aim to play four miss per week there is sound logic in having a fifth with some point scoring potential. Essentially the cost is about 1m. I.e. Shelvey over Wanyama.
There will be occasions were someone has a horrible fixture, is rested, has an unannounced injury, an announced injury that will only last a week or two, pulls up in the warmup before the game. It covers a number of scenarios and I would feel naked without the cover.
I am also happy to have bench headaches. I enjoy them 😉
If you intend to fix 3 defenders I think one piece of fodder is fine. This is more my train of thought, and surely can save me more on transfers down the line too.
The benefit I implied but forgot to mention. Reduces hits
Noticed some mods are around so i'm gonna repeat my question from last night cause no one seemed sure..
What constitutes a penalty box touch in the stats? If say Montero receives the ball in the box, dribbles(with 2 touches), changes direction and dribbles again(2 touches) and then passes in the box itself does he get 6 touches recorded? or just 3 cause the dribble would be considered as one touch.. or 4 cause the change in direction is considered as an additional touch?i use this stat(along with chances/shots in box) a lot to make my decision so i'd like to know what exactly i'm using 🙂
Or is the entire time he entered the box received the ball until the point he released the ball considered one touch?
I think the change in direction counts as an additional touch. Explains the huge numbers for the likes of Sanchez and Wilson - it's not that they're being found in the box fifteen times a game, but that when are, they twist, turn and take five touches at a time.
💡
Hey Balders... so we were both wrong yesterday. it's every miniscule touch in a dribble counts too
explains Sanchez I guess 🙄
Yeah so all of those count as touches in the box. 1 raiding run could easily be 6 touches inside the box from tricky players like Sanchez.
For instance Rooney's 1 touch in the box in the last game was the clearance into the stands on 93mins
Dint he touch the ball in the box first.. try to control it and then clear it?
I don't believe so. My memory might be hazy however.
😯 .. maybe i've been goin about it wrong with this stat then . Assumed a dribble would be considered as max 1/2 touches. not for the entire dribble in the box.. The likes of Sanchez/Montero etc will have inflated stats then whereas the likes of Pelle/Giroud etc who dont really dribble in the box will have more meaningful stats
A touch of the ball is a touch. Its that simple
Within reason of course.
Cheers
tricky one guys....
Depay, Kolarov, (wanyama-Sub)
Payet, Shaw (Sinclair-Sub)A. Sinclair is set to get less game time I think
My worry is Kolarov, u think he's nailed
I think his potential warrants inclusion for now. Lots of transfer options if he starts to get benched
How is my team shaping up folks?
McCarthy Butland
Morgan Lovren Shaw Williams Richards
Silva Mata/Depay Hoolahan Sanchez Westwood
Lukaku Gomis AgueroLVG on Depay .. "I want to kiss him tonight"
we may not see more goals/assists from Depay from now on..😆
Maybe we see more often... 😉
Depends on Memphis ... LOLdutch love!
Some of the biggest stories making today's back pages...
- Man City are set to splash out £88m on Kevin De Bruyne and Nicolas Otamendi, with Wolfsburg ready to sell De Bruyne if City go to £56m for the midfielder (Mirror)
- Tensions at Chelsea have risen because of Pedro's likely move to Manchester United. Roman Abramovich wanted to hijack the deal , but Jose Mourinho is adamant the player would not fit into his team (Sun)
- PSG striker Edinson Cavani could join Arsenal this week as the Gunners appear set to give up their pursuit of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema (Telegraph)
- Everton will give in to Chelsea and sell John Stones if they are offered £40m for the young defender (Star)
- Fenerbahce are lining up a shock move for John Terry as his contract with Chelsea winds down (Mail)
- Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Spain star Dani Ceballos from Real Betis (Express)
- West Brom are resigned to losing Saido Berahino after rejecting an initial £18m bid for the striker from Spurs (Times)£32m for Otamendi and £40m for Stones .. crazy!! 😆
English, Home Grown, Young...Stones had to be expensive
This too
Well more than the player u have to consider this-
1.Otamendi does not want to play for Valencial while Stones' performances continue to be good
2.Chelsea are desperate for Stones and Everton wants to exploit it
3.Everton dont have back-up
4.Stones is EnglishThis goes against the grain with Everton fans TBH. But 40 mil for Stones would be great. IF WE SPEND THE MONEY TO IMPROVE OUR SQUAD.
I am liking story no. 2 and 4
I am liking 3, If Cavani joins Arsenal..he is straight in my team!
Would be another Falcao imo
Chelsea needs to sign a doctor first... 😛
Grow up
Any thoughts on sagna?
Current Wildcard is looking like
Butland Ruddy
Kolarov Darmian Williams Gomez Richards
Sanchez Payet Mahrez Westwood ???
Aguero ??? ???
I have a few combos for the last spots
A) Silva Gomis Diouf + 0.7
B) Yaya Gomis Diouf + 2.2
C) Yaya Gomis Benteke + 0.2
D) Yaya Diouf Benteke + 0.7
E) Yaya Diouf Giroud + 0.2
AppreciatedF) Coutinho, Gomis, and One moe
I do like Coutinho. Cod do B or D and upgrade Payet to him?
Yeah do B then
but don't double up on City or Liverpool
C. Quite a lot spent on your defence though....
I like A.
I think A is my favoured of the lot just don't know if Silva is worth the extra 1.5
C for me. Consider downgrading to Diouf in a couple of weeks if he keeps scoring!
Surprised Kolarov didn't rise
All the WCs mean the price change sites are a bit off.
No, they don't, Ludo.
http://www.fantasyfootballfix.com/price/Sorry Doosra, but doesn't that kind of prove Ludo's point?
No.
Why didn't McCarthy rise at 125+?
Servers have a Wednesday morning off, as they go for a curry Tuesday nights.
Because they haven't yet got the base numbers right.
I really can't see this wild cards thing at all.The base numbers are the same for each player for rises.
Obviously every WC has him hence no rise. No point saying the site is working well when a player is way over the base number.Last year, the base numbers were off for a bit early on because FPL hid key data after the season had started. This year, I think the effective sites have been keeping their own track of it from the off. Where I think they are struggling is working out how many wildcards are being played and, more specifically, which players those wildcard transfers are affecting.
any thoughts on sagna?
Avoid, Rotation
Pls HELP... Keep this team or WC ?
Ruddy
Azpli Kosc Alderweird
Hazard Sterling Ox Cabaye
Aguero Benteke Sakho
Casper Wanyama Francis Saylor.I would say Keep just downgrade Kosc or Azpi or Sterling and Upgrade Ox
I would keep
keep
Bring in Sanchez and hold on WC
Thanks guys. Probably downgrade Kos to Gomez and upgrade Ox to Payet or Mahrez
Keep, just transfer Sterling to one of the in form mids (Silva, YYT, Payet, Ayew)
Anyone considering Cortouis on their wildcard? Hit the button before the rises/falls last night (had already made a double transfer) and now looking at him at 5.4. Surely will go straight back into a team where both himself and the rest of the team have a point to prove?!
You'd suspect Mourinho to revert to type and try get a run of 1 or 2-0 victories going. Not today, thank you. 🙂
Chelsea in shambles atm
With WBA this week a Chelsea clean sheet is all but guaranteed.
Yeah, I just think at 5.4 he seems an absolute steal. If they pick up back to back cleansheets everyone will be clamouring to get them back in.
Get him in. A reliable way into the Chelsea defence. They'll improve under Mourinho for sure.
If I was on WC, I'd get him in. I wouldn't be mucking around trying to find the perfect 4.5 rotation.
Might go with Myhill/Hennessey instead.
5.4 is a fantastic price for the league's best goalie in a traditionally tight defence. In previous years you'd be looking at 6.5 for the pleasure.
I think something isn't quite right at Chelsea at the moment....avoid Chelsea assets for the moment!
You're right, something is wrong. But what's the first thing Mourinho is going to look at?
You've convinced me! At 5.4 he just seems too much of a bargain not to roll the dice and we all know Mourinho will try shut up sho and grind out results.
Once bitten...
Keep Memphis or swap to Mata?
If I keep I might take a punt on captaining him this week!!
At home to Newcastle, it doesn't get much easierKeep..
Dont waste ur transfer on this
Defos keep. Not sure why you are even considering mata
i have Mat ATM and intend going the other way when Depay settles. Leave as is IMO.
shame depay had to perform well just before his price drop
Looks like price changes were way off with the risers... And missed the boat a bit with the fallers.
Had my first drop... Mings to 4.4 the but confident he'll bounce back eventually when he gets his place. What do we think of this WC team?
Myland
Kolarov Jenks Francis Gomez Richards
Silva Depay Payet Ayew 4.5
Kun Pelle Diouf
1.8itb atm.
Plan is to downgrade Pelle to Deeney after GW4, to free up funds for Hazard/Sanchez in midfield.
Any suggestions would be great! Why no Sanchez now? Surely fixture proof?
Genuinely couldn't believe how many players dropped in price last night, is this normal this early in the season?
I don't remember as many moving last yearIt is normal. All the casual teams are full of players that don't play. These are the players that are dropping in value. Just look at the names.
I agree it's mostly players who haven't started, but a few names I'm surprised with,
Sterling, Courtois, Fabregas, Wilson, Ritchie
I just don't remember in previous years, allbeit only two, so many players, especially on 0.1% original ownership, dropping so quickly5 drops from standard players is not unreasonable by GW2 imo
I guess, just seems like a lot of players have dropped, compared to the amount who have risen.
Thats normal as well. Casuals with players that don't play
I don't remember so many people using WC in GW2...
I didn't think the WC counted towards player rise/falls?
I think it does this season
It would explain the reason for so many drops, but I don't like it, it's almost forcing everyone to play the WC just to avoid losing 1m+ in TV
They why hasn't Coates dropped yet? and Cedric? along with other popular FFS wagons that are being traded out by WCers on here.
*then
Because FF Towers knows that Coates is the next Maldini waiting to happen and they don't want to knock his confidence.
WC's don't count, thats why
The gap between GWs 2&3 was the second most popular time for playing a wildcard last season.
A) Ayew (7.1) + Benteke (8.5) = 15.6
vs
B) Depay (8.5) + Gomis (7.1) = 15.6A
B
A for me.
B
B
Please please Rmt...I need your help!
McCarthy Butland
Morgan Lovren Shaw Williams Richards
Silva Depay Hoolahan Sanchez Westwood
Lukaku Gomis Aguero
Thanks!Imagine this City lineup:
Hart
Zabaleta Kompany Otamendi Kolarov
Toure Fernandinho
De Bruyne Silva Sterling
Aguero
😮Still wouldn't win the Champions League.
They have Pace & Creativity.. but lack that Grit/ Resolve to just make something happen or hold on to something in deciding clashes...
I was expecting a lot more risers.
Price change sites aren't accurate and WC transfers don't count towards price changes.
Doosra seems to be linking proof that they do although I can't see anything in the link myself
trust your judgement
Proof from Doosra? lol, I'll need to see it to believe it. Only a handful of popular players on here have dropped so far this season.
Thanks very much, Ryan. I love you too.
Show me the proof!
http://www.fantasyfootballfix.com/price/
Been good enough to keep me out of trouble. How is that proof? its just a price change site. One thats been very inaccurate so far.
Well, it has been accurate enough for me, and it's getting better.
If you want perfection, set up your own.
1. Price change sites like FFF are less accurate when a lot of wildcards are active because that upsets their calculations. Usually they are very good but I suspect this week will break the record for wildcards played in any one GW.
2. I believe wildcard transfers DO count though in a reduced way and not until deadline. This is because a wildcard transfer hasn't actually been finally made until the wildcard expires, if they counted every wildcard transfer for price changes it would be open to manipulation.
3. Last season during winter wildcard there were a host of price changes on the Saturday night after the wildcards unwound. I suspect the same will happen this week.Yeah i have never seen this many WC's incredible...will be watching what happens on Saturday with a lot of interest.
Are you among those who have pushed the WC button Ruth? No. But I still might. My big concerns were not enough information and GW13 which is a big fixture shift. I wanted to save my wildcard till then.
However I now have a route from a wildcard now to the team I want in GW13 which still leaves some transfers free for eventualities. I will decide today I think.
Tried few times .. no clue..
How to change your avatar image?
Or is it a member only feature.. 😛gotta use gravatar.com!
Pick 1 from..
Ozil/Eriksen/Mata
My other attackers.
Sanchez, Yaya, Mahrez Westwood
Aguero, Gomis, DioufDepay?
On form right now and to spread coverage, Mata.
Anyone saw the United match last night?
I feel Schweinsteiger slowed things up a bit in Midfield...
United should try and start like this against Newcastle"
-Herrera -- Schneiderlin-
Mata -- Rooney -- Depay
