The last-minute August transfer window move to QPR seems to have offered Shaun Wright-Phillips a new lease of life. The winger cut a forlorn figure on the periphery of Roberto Mancini’s title-challenging Man City but, plucked from his Etihad Stadium nightmare by Neil Warnock, Wright-Phillips has been handed the chance to resurrect his career. Under the guidance of a manager with complete faith in his abilities, he is already making an impact at Loftus Road.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Just checked the watchlist.. Moses and Brunt are surprisingly featured.

I really need to understand for why Brunt is considered GREEN. Fixture?

And.. Moses? Stats of those many weak shots on goal?

Not sarcastic. I really mean to get understand.

Brunt has been rested, because of the international games, and last week because of a knee injury. He has good fixtures and he is a good player, who takes set pieces from time to time.

    Captain?!

Rooney(STO-a) - Stoke are solid at home, but they may be tired from the Carling Cup extra time. On direct free kicks and pens. Can't see a goal fest.

Adebayor(WIG-a) - 3 goals in 2 matches. Against a weak Wigan side, but away from home.

Mata(SWA-h) - Unproven. But home against Swansea must be a good thing! On set-pieces and has looked good in every match.

Dzeko/Nasri(EVE-h) - At home against a struggling Everton side. Possible rotation risk. Possible 4 goals for dzeko.

    .
Any ideas guys? I have no idea...

From what I saw from Rooney vs Chelsea last week. I decided since last week to captain him in this match. I know it was just my good luck that he missed PK and hit the post.. as I didn't captain him.

Thoughts of this wildcarded team guys?

    Krul - Vorm
Bosingwa - Jose Enrique - Brown - Simpson - Gabbidon
    Silva - Mata - Arteta - Dyer - B.Johnson
    Rooney - Aguero - Adebayor

Feel free to comment with how it could be improved.

It isnt really used a team name as such, just a lot of mata=matter puns. Perhaps 'Why Shawcross?'

Personally speaking, I think the stats
for Sunderland, if nothing else, question the mindset the players are put in (or not) following a victory. I thought it raised some interesting points, possibly for debate, possibly not Looking at the Sunderland's to performing keeper and defenders for 2009/10 & 2010/11 we see this info:

    2009/10
    Craig Gordon 26 apps
    Phil Bardsley 26 apps
    George McCartney 25 apps
    Michael Turner 33 apps
    Anton Ferdinand 24 apps

How did Sunderland perform in their next PL game following on from a victory that season? 1 win, 3 draws, 7 defeats

    2010/11
    Simon Mignolet 23 apps
    Phil Bardsley 34 apps
    Onuoha 31 apps
    Anton Ferdinand 27 apps
    Titus Bramble 23 apps

How did Sunderland perform in their next PL game following on from a victory that season? 1 win, 5 draws, 5 defeats.

On average, 3 different players in defence and goal from 09/10 season to 10/11. Both seasons we can look at 11 games following on from a victory and in both seasons, just the 1 win. Is it the players, the management, the sample size? Do you think the likes of O'Shea & Brown are going to improve
    Bramble and Bardsley (when not
    suspended)

As for applebonker's question relating to Anton Ferdinand at QPR - I think there are 2 QPR defenders worth looking at
    - Luke Young and Anton Ferdinand.
Traore is too expensive, crap VFM and not a great player. The other CB role is still to be determined. The reason I mention Ferdinand's set-pieces is a little tongue in cheek. However in 138 games at West Ham he scored 5 goals.
In 87 games for Sunderland and QPR he has scored 0, so you'd like to think that at some point you'd see him knocking in a few headers from set pieces, especially as they have Barton pinging in the free-kicks/corners.

Imo that stat is useless. 11 wins a season is normal for a midtable team and it's just natural you don't win that many games on the trot if you're going to win only 11 out of 38.
