FantasyBet have their biggest pot of the season so far arriving in Gameweek 27, so this is the last round of Premier League fixtures in which it’s possible to qualify for an entry into the £2000 contest.

It’s also possible to receive a free entry into the league by inviting a friend, and if that person wins, you can receive £100. Click here for more details.

Looking at the fixtures, it may be the week to roll out those mid-table differentials you’ve had your eye on – all the top four face each other on Sunday, as Arsenal welcome Leicester and Spurs travel to Manchester City.

On Saturday, Bournemouth host a Stoke side that have lost 3-0 in three successive matches. West Ham travel to out-of-sorts Norwich, while Chelsea host a Newcastle outfit that have lost four matches in a row away from St James’.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring system.

The players’ prices were originally identical to those of the official game but have now been updated, with players such as Riyad Mahrez and Mesut Ozil now costing 1m more to include in our squads.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

Fraser Forster (4.5m)
Charlie Daniels (4.5m)
Phil Jagielka (5m)
Branislav Ivanovic (6.5m)
Jesse Lingard (4.5m)
Ross Barkley (7m)
Dimitri Payet (7.5m)
Roberto Firmino (8m)
Romelu Lukaku (9m)
Diego Costa (10.5m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Fraser Forster: The Southampton keeper’s long-term injury at the start of the season means he’s priced at just 4.5 in FantasyBet. Forster’s return to the starting XI has coincided with a run of five consecutive clean sheets ahead of a trip to the Liberty, where Swansea have failed to score in five of eight matches against top-half opposition.

Phil Jagielka: The Toffees captain was sidelined for two months over the festive period but has since recovered his spot to help secure three shut-outs in four appearances. A visit from a West Brom side that have blanked in three of their last four away trips bodes well for Jagielka’s chance of picking up another clean sheet.

Roberto Firmino: The Liverpool midfielder seems to have finally become accustomed to the Premier League, bagging five goals and a pair of assists over his last five outings. The potential return of Philippe Coutinho could bring even more returns from the in-form Firmino as the Merseysiders make their way to Aston Villa.

Diego Costa: Chelsea’s lone striker has recently rediscovered the sort of form that delivered 20 goals last season. Costa has bagged six goals and two assists in seven league appearances and now faces a travel-sick Newcastle outfit that has mustered a single clean sheet in ten matches on the road, conceding an average of over 2.6 goals per game in the other nine.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the free-rolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and Flash Mode.

For the six Saturday fixtures from 3pm onwards, there’s a Double-Up game for £3.30 entry with a guaranteed prize pool of £120 and also FantasyBet’s biggest weekly game, the Grand Saturday where your compete for a £1000 guaranteed prize pool on a £5.50 buy in. Multiple entries are available in both.

There’s also a couple of opportunities to pick up qualifier tickets for the £2000 pot coming up in Gameweek 27. One contest has an entry fee of just £0.55, while the other has three tickets up for grabs for a £3.30 stake.

LAST WEEK

I regained most of my stake with a win in the double-up but failed to land in the winning spots elsewhere to leave me on a total of £167. Batista took top place in the Grand weekend game – captaining Firmino paid off, while big hauls from Joleon Lescott (15 points), Toby Alderweireld (eight points) and Scott Dann (eight points) paid off his decision to invest at the back. Read an interview with the winner here.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering the Saturday Double-Up and Grand Saturday, the free-rolls, the FFScout Picks League and will also have a go at both the qualifiers to try and win entry into the double grand pot for a total outlay of £13.75.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Eden Hazardous, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22. Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Geodam89 topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 105 points. Seven points apiece off the bench from Mark Bunn and Kevin Wimmer, who replaced Tim Howard and Danny Rose, shows the value of strong auto-subs.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

You likely said a lot of stuff and this is one thing that turned out right. Are you suggesting we listen to you in the future? If you linked you team and it showed a consistency of making the right decision then I might. Otherwise, I'm not sure of the point of this post. 'Go with you gut' is irrelevant if your gut doesn't make that good decisions.

It's tough because both are playing equally well.

VVD is involved more during attacking play, and is good at keeping the ball.

Fonte is just playing well, and is getting bonus points.

      Verry difficult one.

Villa have been playing better the last few games and Aguero is on form and deadly. On the other hand City is at the moment a 1 man team and are going up against a tittle challenger with the best defence of the top teams. City might get a penalty and Silva is probably back. Liverpool has Coutinho back.

      Im going for Firmino 🙂

One whole week of people planning to bring in Costa and Rooney went up in smoke in just 2 words - Silva Kompany.
And now we have all decided to bench Alli right?

To clear doubts on Mcity players, Quotes from officials website

    On Vincent Kompany:

Every player must play a game when they’re 100%. Vincent has worked for three weeks with no problems. He played 45 minutes in a friendly game against the under-21s and I think he’s ready to play.

    On Silva:

    David Silva is OK

    On Sagna:

Bacary had last week a problem in his knee - some liquid in his knee. He needs an injection and one week at least to return to work.

still no closer to knowing which way to go

    Schmeichel

    Kos, Smalling, Ward

    Sanchez, Payet, Alli, Mahrez

    Kane, Kun, Iggy

    Henessey, Ramsey, Johnson, Simpson

    1 FT, 1.1 ITB

    a) leave as is and save FT
    b) Swap Schmeichel and Ward to Henessey and Johnson and save FT
    c) Ward to VVD

With blank and DGW planning I'm struggling to pick which transfer to make this week...

    2 FT
    0.6 ITB

    DeGea (McCarthy)
    Bertrand, Targett, Simpson, (Bellerin, Dier)
    Payet(vc), Alli, Ozil, Mahrez (Stanislas)
    Aguero, Costa(c), Kane

Pretty lost....thinking Bellerin to Wollscheid or maybe McCarthy to Elliot but neither seem particularly beneficial.....what do ye think?
    Any other ideas?

    Cheers
