Liverpool’s Divock Origi is set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama have been passed fit for Southampton’s trip to Villa, Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s visit to City, whilst Chris Smalling has overcome a knock in time for United’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton.

Reports in the local press suggest the Divock Origi is ruled out for the season with the ankle injury sustained against Everton in midweek. The Liverpool striker will undergo further scans today to ascertain the likely length of absence.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Harry Arter and Adam Smith will remain sidelined for the visit of Chelsea. The Bournemouth boss also indicated he will continue to ease Callum Wilson back into action after the striker was afforded a couple of sub appearances following his return from injury.

Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama are available for Southampton’s trip to Villa after recovering from the knocks that forced both off in last week’s draw at Everton. Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that Charlie Austin remains unavailable though is close to returning from a knee problem.

Chris Smalling has shrugged off a knock picked up against Palace on Wednesday night and is available for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton. Adnan Januzaj remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s trip to the Etihad with the hamstring injury that forced him off during Monday’s loss at Spurs. Mark Hughes has revealed that Shay Given is likely to keep his place in goal, though Marc Wilson, Glen Johnson and Jon Walters are still sidelined.

Ramiro Funes Mori serves the first of a three-match ban for Everton’s FA Cup semi-final encounter against Man United. Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez also confirmed that Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are set for late assessments, though Seamus Coleman has failed to recover from a hamstring complaint.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland after missing last night’s win over West Brom with a minor back problem.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    Hi guys

    Had XI this week.Vardy let me down with the sending off and possible suspension so down to 10 with Iwobi, Firm and Moreno.Subs are: Hennessey, Smalling, Payet, Lukaku

    Should I: with 1 FT

    1) Stick
    2) Vardy --> Defoe
    3) Vardy --> Carroll
    4) Vardy + Lukaku --> Defoe/Carroll +Kane for a -4

    Input would be much appreciated. 🙂

      Carroll does have a game so that rules 3 out. I'd say 4, Kaku is a waste of space.

      Another one to consider is Pelle as a one week punt against Villa.

    already taken an 8pt hit but have still got a few rotations risks.

    nasri, lovren, gabriel, firmino, sturridge.

    worth ditching any for a further hit or just ride it out?

    So, for one week only - what do we think?

    a. Coutinho. Kane. Ulloa. (if all play, one will be on the bench)
    b. Coutinho. Kane. Mitrovic (if all play, one will be on the bench)
    c. Mane. Pelle. Martial (no game)
    d. Mane. Kane. Martial (no game)

    1 FT, 0.6 banked. What move(s) should I be looking at with this lot?

    Darlow
    Gabriel Sakho Lovren Bellerin
    Alexis Coutinho KdB
    Kun Mitrovic

    Robles Cresswell Bolasie Lanzini Martial

    1. La Roja

      Bolasie ➡ Alli

      Otherwise, you're looking at -8 to get rid of Martial and Bolasie to accommodate Kane

    2. Wardinator

      You've a very similar team to me, but I've got Mignolet, Zabaletta and Smalling to your Darlow, Lovren and Cresswell.

      I just did KDB, Bolasie and Martial to Alli, Mané & Kane for -8 so would recommend that. I am chasing though, you?

    I had some decent advice earlier. Now I would just like to know who is the most nailed Sunderland defender? I could afford PVA but would prefer to save a little money and get Kaboul or yedlin, if they are nailed?

    1. Sylas

      Kaboul is nailed imo. Kirkchoff seems like a good option as well,

    Wcing 36, 2.3m itb. So I can either do:

    MD: Mata -> De Bruyne(STK)
    MM: Mata -> Mane(avl)
    RL: Rashford -> Long(avl)

    Pelle is out of the price range. Which option do you prefer? Leaning toward MM.

    Got 1FT and 0.1 in the bank. Any ideas for a transfer this week? I've got 11 players, but Targett likely to be non-starter.
    Mignolet
    Alderweireld, Bellerin, Simpson, Targett
    Alli, Ozil, Sanchez, Mahrez
    Aguero, Kane
    Bench: Elliot (inj), Coleman (inj), Payet (no game), Rashford (no game).
    Can't afford decent striker if I sell Rashford. Not that excited by Coleman to Zabaleta / PVA / Azpi.
    Thoughts on Payet (8.3) to Mane / Firmino / Townsend?
    Still got wildcard to play, so it is short term move.... Thanks!

    What are people's thoughts on the following? I am 10 points behind mini league leader who still has bench boost and similar team to me.

    Willian (bou, TOT, liv, sun, LEI)
    I think he willl be guaranteed to play now he is back from injury and can see him racking up assists now that Costa is back too.

    Deeney/Ighalo(AVL, now, liv, SUN)
    Obviously concerned about rotation after neither started at West Ham but their fixtures are incredible and could be nice differential.

    after listening scoutcast i must say that i compleatly dissagre about payet

    can't belive you dont think he is a good TC option

        Sanchez - agree, looked promising and fair play to those that went for it.

        Aguero - we were all a bit too worried about City's (and Kun's) away form for it to be a no brainer, he was definitely an option though and it looks brutal in hindsight not going with him.

          I still wouldn't to be honest, you'll bench Koscielny or Bellerin I'd imagine so you'd be taking a -4 and possibly benching 1, 2 or 6 points. Say it's 2 you then need Defoe to make up 6 points just to break even.

            Yup, probably not worth it just for backup, I can take a KdB benching this week rather than another hit for a player I'm not 100% convinced about yet (still looking at Andy Carroll!)

    Differential and block tactics.

    I'm leading my ml by 3 points. 2nd one doesn't have Firmino. 3rd and 4th one have him.

    Question is. Should I bring in Firmino in for Payet for a hit. Would be a good differential and block move at same time.

      A bit of style, but no substance. Lallane-esque.

      Looked good at the start, but has been quiet since. Don't buy now.

    2 options:

    A/ Saf(er): Lukaku + Ozil -> Kane (c) + Alli for 4 pts
    Note: I have sanchez
    =>Gives me 11 valid players if Mitrovic plays

    B/ Riski(er): Lukaku + Mitrovic + Dawson -> Kane (c) + Defoe + Van Aarnholt for 8 pts
    =>Gives me 11 valid players

    What do you guys think?
