Right on time as usual, thanks natt... had Vorm and (just) bought Adebayor before the deadline. Now have to hope Nani, VDV and possibly Ramsey don't fall too much this GW.

Brunt, who seemed to be such a good choice after last season, just doesn't look like he's on the money this year. It won't help with Odemwingie, another goal and bonus magnet from last year doing nowt. Decent long term fixtures though. Tough call. Your team looks basically sound Merdo.

All good Flynny! Thanks for your kind thoughts šŸ™‚

Had a disechtomy to remove a prolapsed disc (L4/5). Feel like there's a hole in my back šŸ™

Been wiped out by anaesthetics and various drugs. 24 hours on painkillers šŸ™

My problems are nothing though. I'm in total shock about Gary Speed. I remember how well he played for us 88-96-top, top player. Strachan, Batty, McAllistair and Speedo were an incredible midfield. Desperately sad news.

This a big dilemna for next week:

    Krul or Vorm??

I feel nucastle are a big team this season and at home they will be very good and Chelsea are hapless..
on the other hand I think Blackburn will snik a goal in against Swansea..

    What to do??? suggestions plz

good means contending, which i think newcastle has already shown. however, this could come with goals on either side... sturridge is on a mini role, and mata killed it.. lampard may play to really compete since being benched.

tough though, I would go Vorm

I must say I strongly believe Swansea, with their excellent clean sheet record, playing against a relegation-form team, is a better choice than Newcastle, who despite their amazing form, have not kept quite as many sheets clean, and are playing a relatively strong team like Chelsea. That being said, I think NUFC might win it though.

Vorm. Newcastle have done well alright but against the biggest they still can’t keep the CS –conceded 3 v City and one v United. Chelsea don’t have great difficulty scoring, it’s the CS that’s the problem for them. Blackburn on the other hand score less and have a better scoring record away not at home where they play Swansea, who have a decent defence and managed a CS away at Anfield. Their possession football helps reduce chances and given how much Blackburn give possession away, there might not be many chances!

Guys, how's this for WC team.

    Vorm
    Jagielka Vermaelen BAE
    Walters Bale Adam Silva
    RVP Adebayor Ba

    Subs: Westwood, Simpson, Allen, Enrique

    * Pool have a good run of fixtures and Adam has been central to a lot of their play. Potential differential.
    * Trying to set my self up for double GW for tott & eve in GW20

    Any thoughts?

Think you have too much money spread across too many defenders. Remember you will only play 3 of them every week. I would get another 4.0 and upgrade Jags to Baines.

Plenty of time to get in Tott and Ev between now and GW20 so why WC?
Agree on Adam but still costs too much for me.

First impressions are too much money in defense and no Chelsea or MU in this team.
I would go Baines rather than Verm. Downgrade Jags to a 4.xM bencher. Maybe the same with BAE too, (you can get him in just before GW20). Then maybe you would have the cash to get Sturridge or Mata or Hernandez in.

Don't know how tight money is, but....

      *Krul in for Westwood
      *Jags out for someone?
*If you have to justify the inclusion of Adam, that means you're so-so on him - I'd swap him for someone else
*Wouldn't worry about the double gw right now

I would think so yes. Silva has been on fire and he is getting an assist or goal every 88 minutes this season (or something like that). As good as Baines is, I'd get him if Everton were a constant source of cleanies (like last year), but it's not happening.

It's turning out to be an ok Gameweek after Vorm, N.Dyer, Silva and Kompany played yesterday, on 48 points with some possible bonus points coming šŸ™‚ Green arrows all round!

Here's my team for this weekend:

    Vorm (Krul)
    Brown Wilkinson Kompany
    Ramsey VDV Lampard Silva (N.Dyer)
    Sturridge RVP Adebayor

I'm VERY concerned about this team for the weekend... I can see RVP and Ramsey being rested vs Wigan. Wenger has said he will rotate and a fixture vs Wigan doesn't come much easier, plus he's said he as fatigue concerns over the two.
Then i have VDV injured and Lampard sitting on 4 yellows, will he sit out at Newcastle with Man.City up next game....
And then there's Silva and Kompany! šŸ™
Any thoughts on any of the above people?
    Thanks šŸ™‚

I would get Ramsey out. This rotation news is new to me. He was playing wigan so I was thinking one could hold him one more week. However, his solid play just has not transferred to points.

That said, I like your lineup for the long run...you could try a walters/larson/or even sess/sinclair for rams.

Do not, under any circumstances, bring that fat Russian into your team. The other 2 will barely play either. Avoid like the plague. I have Ramsey also, and have an itchy trigger finger. If he plays tomorrow he could be on his way out - Walters/Sess/Larsson the only real options for me in that price bracket (or Sinclair if you don't already have him)...if he is rested, I'll probably give him one last go at Wigan.

I actually think Man City will play a relatively strong line up vs Norwich. We've been a test for everyone this year and I think the bustling style of Morison will be a handful for the Man City defence. Norwich has struggled this year against silky midfielders (Sinclair and Mata come to mind) so I think Silva will play

Can't answer the rest though, I'm unsure about them

you could take a gamble with dzeko. he looked strong the time he was on. cheech is consistent. but i would maybe hold for ba after this next gameweek.

you could get ramsey out. trade aguero for a cheaper striker and invest in walcott or even a triple up on spurs with Bale...that is rather aggressive. Just keep tabs of what happens midweek.

Actually, Rooney looked lively and was always a threat on Sat though he didn't score. But looking at it long term wise, it's no way he's going to keep playing up front. Fergie will get him back to a midfield role again once a sudden injury or suspension happens. On the other hand, Bolton have been absolutely shite so far this season, feel like I don't want to lose out on very likely goal fest at WHL next weekend.

Every time Everton get a penalty or he scores from a free kick, he'll get 6 points more. 3 BPs are a certainty after that, so that's 10 points effectively only .

A gutsy play Jafa. I've been tempted to do the same, but VDV is such a shooting whore, that whenever he plays he looks like scoring. Thinking of having all 3 for the DGW. I had mine in May, but had had to wait 5 years due to cock ups, and it turns out the nerve damage is likely to be permanent. my spinal movement is fine as I had always been super flexible. Nerve pain looks like it's here to stay. You should be fully recovered in 6 and probably a lot less and the exercises are simple and effective.

I very nearly did that last week. Gutting. I think there are several genuine candidates for (c) this week. I have 5 of them and it's going to be a tough call...

      Silva, VDV
      Adebayor, Aguero, RVP

think the other guys have already said what you need to do. Given to Vorm or Krul(better options for now and frees up a small amt of cash) warnock and hughes out and deal with best later.

Good to see you back Jafalad - hope the op will be a success.

I sold Bendy as well, what a farce that was. Bendy > Ba and Roonpig > Adebayor. Quietly confident of Ba outscoring Piggy for the next 4 weeks and then Piggy back in for Christmas.

I thought Cerny was just back from injury himself and that QPR were after a loan keeper to tide them over? Maybe I dreamt it?

      Cheers Billy!

Bendtner - yep I'm keeping quiet about that one.

Cerny: I think he's third choice/reserve keeper. However, the no 1 and 2 are both crocked long term so he could be a good shout. The most important thing is that he's 4 mill and is a bit of a risk/reward as Vorm will play most of the time anyway. The loan keeper might throw a spanner in the works; we'll have to see.

Ok a little annoyed as looks like I am going to lose my PP H2H by a point thanks to Swansea CS and Kompany's shoulder I mean header into the goal.. Oh well never mind means I'm not distracted I suppose..

I am fairly happy keeping VDV as am confident he will score good points next weekend.

Therefore with no other major concerns the time has come for Gutierrez to be shifted out..

Currently between O'Hara and Sinclair.. Which one would you do?

Sinclair, tentatively. If Scarlett plays in a 4-5-1 he seems to do well, better than in a 4-4-2. Could score very highly but there's always a doubt over his position in the side.

I'd surely get O'Hara. A very good player, influential and on set plays - has taken 26 corners so far let alone free kicks. Sinc is overrated, shite all round and only on pens.

While waiting for the bonus I am facing my first red arrow in 6 game weeks. If it ends this way it will probably go down so because I ran out of substitutes and could only play 10 players. No matter the outcome though, this outlines once again the importance of having as few uncertainties in your team as possible (e.g. Jones, Drenthe?).

the player like Jones is not worth at hi price.
look at the total score. when he has a CS, he gets 4p. but if he's dropped 1 game, he'll lose 2p. A cheaper def 4-5M plays every 90 minutes is my favourite, not Jones.
