Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Leicester

Saturdays’s events conclude at Anfield when Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will host champions Leicester City.

The big teamsheet news is that Klopp has made the decision to keep Philippe Coutinho on the bench, despite flying him back early from international duty with Brazil. That allows Daniel Sturridge to earn a second start of the season, whilst Lucas has to come into to central defence with Dejan Lovren ruled out with an injury sustained in training.

Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City are unchanged as they bid to build on their 2-1 win over Swansea City in Gameweek 3. There’s no place on the bench for new signing Islam Slimani.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Would have been perfect. Took a -4 hit and brought in Antonio. played Capoue... but sold Firminio for Mirallas after keeping him for 3 gws. Firminio always does this to me. last season as soon as I got him out, scored a hattrick. 🙁

    But still 38 pts, with Hazard(C), holgate and mirallas to play

    So from this GW :

    * Alexis place is not nailed when schedule is buys
    * Firminho / Mane are still an option - Liverpool mids when good can smash anyone
    * Lamela's place in doubt
    * Capoue might be a 4th mid as well
    * Snodgrass a cheap mid option as well
    * Benteke starts firing
    * Payet / Antonio

    and Chelsea, Everton still to play.

    Got 23 points so far from my Power 5 with Haz still to go.Not bad but could have been better if Sanchez had started and Sterling played for 80-90 mins 🙁

      Before today I didn't think Sanchez would outscore Cazorla by enough to justify an extra 3.5m of budget... After today i still think this. He will rpobably outscore Cazorla alright, but not by a massive margin.

      I have all 3 - it feels good 🙂 alongside Haz & Capoue i'm actually happy with my midfield... Would like to get Snodgrass though, he looks on point for FPL this year. Saving FT to get Kun back in. Was worried about not having any West Ham but going to stick with Raheem for at least another week, he could go large against Bournemouth... Hope he doesn't start champs lge!

      Haven't watched the West Ham game, but after reading the West Ham forum, it seems like Lanzini played well, but eventually got marked out. Apparently he looks rusty but promising.

          Apparently there were nearly always multiple defenders marking Zaza. They saw that Zaza got in good positions, but they said that some of the distribution to Zaza was slow. They expect it to pick up when players regain match fitness and the players gel more.

          I'm not sold on Caz. He'd probably be the 1st I'd lose. I'm not as sold on Firminio as I was at the start of the season either - think I prefer Mane now. Would sooner drop Caz than Ibra though right now
