Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose are back in contention for Spurs’ trip to Sunderland. Adam Lallana is passed fit as Liverpool prepare for the arrival of Chelsea, while Virgil van Dijk is ruled out as Southampton make their way to Swansea City. Here’s the summary of the current team news ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld are all back in training and available for Spurs’ trip to Sunderland. Jan Vertonghen and Erik Lamela remain sidelined and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is set for scans on a knee problem.

Adam Lallana is in line to return for Liverpool’s home clash with Chelsea, though Nathaniel Clyne remains a doubt due to an ongoing rib problem. Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Sadio Mane will be assessed after arriving back from Africa Cup of Nations duties last night. He may just start life on the bench in Tuesday’s clash.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that “the players who stayed behind” from Saturday’s trip to Southampton (Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin) are available to face Watford. The Gunners boss conceded that he will be cautious with Danny Welbeck’s pitch time as he returns from a long-term knee injury absence. Elsewhere, Granit Xhaka serves the second of a four-match ban.

Islam Slimani and Leonardo Ulloa have been ruled out of Leicester City’s trip to Burnley, with the latter insisting he won’t play for the club again after they rejected an offer from Sunderland for his services. Shinji Okazaki is available, however, after undergoing stitches in a foot injury.

Lamine Kone and Didier Ndong are both available for Sunderland’s clash with Spurs after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, though Wahbi Khazri is due back today and won’t feature. New boys Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo were not signed in time for tonight’s match and Papy Djilobodji starts the first of a four-match ban.

Swansea City new boy Luciano Narsingh is in contention for the home clash against Southampton after recovering from a calf problem. Ki Sung-yeung is also back in the frame, though Leon Britton and Oliver McBurnie will miss out.

Virgil van Dijk will be out for around three weeks as Southampton make their way to South Wales. Claude Puel was reluctant to reveal any further insights, remaining vague on the doubts surrounding James Ward-Prowse, Jay Rodriguez and Sofiane Boufal.

Wilfried Zaha is available for Palace’s clash with Bournemouth after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, though Bakary Sako is a doubt due to a hamstring problem. Sam Allardyce reckons that Jeffrey Schlupp is set to miss out, though fellow new boy Patrick van Aanholt is in contention for an Eagles debut in the Vitality Stadium clash. Keepers Julian Speroni and Steve Mandanda are both ruled out.

Bournemouth’s Simon Francis returns for the meeting with Palace having served out his three-match ban. Eddie Howe will assess the fitness of Max Gradel, who was due back in the UK yesterday following Ivory Coast’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Joel Robles will continue in goal as Everton head to Stoke. Idrissa Gueye won’t be selected, however, as Ronald Koeman eases him into action following a return from the Africa Cup of Nations. Robles may face Stoke City new boy Saido Berahino who is included in the squad for the Toffees visit.

West Brom’s Jonny Evans is expected to miss out with a calf complaint once again, while loanee Brendan Galloway will be assessed for the trip to Middlesbrough.

George Friend, Gaston Ramirez and Calum Chambers are all ruled out of Middlesbrough’s squad, though Antonio Barragan is back in training and could be rushed back into the starting line-up.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s deadline. Looks great, gives u flexibility with formations, 3-4-3 or 4-4-2. I dont think Rose's potential 10th YC would be a concern either cos you've got strong enough squad.

    Gtg guys? Kaku in for Giroud for the weekend, but saving my ft this week;

    Randolph
    Alonso Jones Brunt
    San©hez Alli Antonio KdB
    Ibra Giroud Rondon
    1ft / 1.4 itb

Not expecting much from West Brom (especially Rondon who is blanking up my team but plays on the blanks so won't be removed) but I think that's good enough for this week.

    Thanks!

Sanchez. Can't look past him, plus I've had him as captain the last couple of weeks already and there's something about the continuity I like.

Also, two nearest ML rivals don't have him (both will be going on Kane, who I don't have) so it's going to be interesting!

Ibra because I think him and United as a whole will want to atone for the recent loss, players were hurting at the broken streak, also Davies out weakens the Hull defense and at home to boot

        Sanchez:

        - Alexis Sanchez has scored in all three of his Premier League appearances against Watford.
        - The Hornets haven't won a non-weekend Premier League fixture in 12 attempts since beating Portsmouth 4-2 in April 2007 (D2, L10).
        - Heurelho Gomes has conceded 23 goals in eight Premier League games against Arsenal, nine more than any other team he has faced.

Sanchez edges it for me. He's looking so so hungry for goals lately. Also, with Wally in form Giroud may well be taken off early (if he starts). Sanchez as a false 9 against Watford during the part of the game when most goals are conceded is just too good to pass up. He also gets 5 points/goal.

        Other options:
Ibra. Faces Hull once again, though, and I just think going up against each other two times in a row favors the defense.

Kane. Really close one here, but I got 3x spurs, and don't wanna put all my eggs in the same basket. Also dele Alli, Eriksen and Walker/Rose threaten to run away with the bonus points in a way no Arsenal players threaten Sanchez.

kane is very tempting. great record v sunderland and bang in form. But Sanchez has been both consistent and explosive this year, and it's hard to overlook him for a home game.

I was going Alli if I brought him in for Hazard but I just can't bring myself to do it this week. I see 'pool as their for the taking! So I'll go with Kane I think.

Zlatan. Game is ready-made for him I think. And I'm thinking United will batter someone 4 or 5 soon.

I had to restrain myself from adding Pogba to my team this week to be honest. Only the upcoming double-blank (likely) stopped me. But I'd love to have him for the next 3 games.

        Kane (C)

Think Spurs will put Sunderland to the sword plus don't think Sanchez and Ibra will do as well as everyone thinks so Kane looks a good differential.

Ablest captain has to be Kane ...

Spurs form, its Sunderland and a clenched gut when I think about Kane and that Sunderland defence. Also Kane the most likely to score big as Spurs don't let up and Kane rarely gets subbed

      Bench?

      A) Valdes (WBA)

      B) Hennessey (bou)

Half of Boro's defence is injured.
Big Sam said he would love a 0-0 against Bournemouth.

      Appreciate your thoughts!

Very tough. Can see Bournemouth Palace being a high scoring game whereas Karanka loves to set up not to lose. Think Mid WBA far more likely to be a 0-0.

But Friend & Chambers are injured. Barragan is not fully fit. Carroll gave them problems from set peices last time out and Brom usually score from set peices.

Had planned to to Hazard to Eriksen this week but the more talk and thought around blanks and doubles I think I might be better off saving.

      1 FT and 1.4 ITB

      Grant
      Alonso Baines Cedric
      Sanchez Hazard Phillips Lallana
      Ibra Giroud Rondon

      (Pickford* DeRoon Holebas* Amat)

      A) Hazard to Eriksen
      B) Save

Surely most can get 11 out gw 26 without big issues. Although will anyone want 11 for gw 28 based on who is guaranteed fixtures right now? I personally wouldn't recommend it, I will take around 6-7 with the benefits of not having a load of fodder to carry through the remaining season and keeping some of the dgw'ers

Yoshida because Chelsea's defense is the best in the league. In the unlikely event that they concede, your defender will probably get attacking points

Friend will return soon too and I don't want to put too much money in def so Amat to Brunt is not good move for me plus would mean double WBA.
