With just Everton’s trip to White Hart Lane left to be played in the gameweek, it’s time for our members to soak up our pick of the stats from the action so far, along with our punt on how the Fantasy Premier League bonus will pan out…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Any thoughts where Valencia will play against Bolton? If Evans returns will Valencia be back on the wing?

    Have both Evans and Valencia in my wild card team but now a tad twitchy.

    Does the EA site update first or at same time as BP's added in FPL? If so, anyone got the link?

    So...2 FT

    Ba, Yaya out

    Sess, Sturridge IN 1,2 left
    Mata, Morison IN 0.2 left
    Dempsey, Yak IN 0,6 left

    Best options I think...

      Baps are just mental. After weekend games, the bps always come out on the monday morning, even if there's a game that night. Which means that they can be announced before the gameweek is finished. Midweek games are confusing.

    have 2 questions

    1) Who to play next week out of Sess and Raylor. Newcastle are playing QPR at home and I'm already playing Krul and i'm a bit twitchy about doubling up. Sess goes to the bridge but chelsea are shite there and Sunderland is in a great form.

    2) Who will be on pens in newcastle during Ba's absence Ameobi or Cabaye? This influences my decision to get Cabaye a lot. i know Ameobi doesn't get much playing time but he could with Ba's absence.

    I'm on 37 points with Bale, Ade (C), Jagielka and Drenthe to play again (If they do), if Drenthe doesn't Moses comes in for a massive 1 extra point. Only likely BP candidates I have are Ba and Bale from the 1st games.

    Cup opponents on 46 with Ade (Not C) to play. His possible BP candidates are Ward, Vorm, Raylor, Naylor, Silva..

    Am I out of the cup?

      A easy. you willing to sacrifice Walters for Dyer just to get in Lindey, when you have top scoring keeper anyway and playing back up (obviously never going to get CS).
      Obviously this leaves you with no man utd and only 1 spurs but thats why they invented transfers

      B because it will be difficult to choose your 4 midfield players (sessegnon or walters will be your dilemma each week and you'll be kicking yourself if and when you make the wrong choice)

      i would prob upgrade kelly to someone more decent, maybe a MAN U defender like smalling or evans (despite their poor run of form, things will pick up again for sure)

    Right here is my reasoning for United's form this season.

    After losing to Barcelona it all seemed to change. We were playing a completely different style of football up until after that defeat. From then on we seemed to play much more short direct passing football through the middle of the field as opposed to almost solid wing play and awesome Scholes' floaters. Our main instigator and tool of this directional play was Cleverley.

    During the pre-season we got used to playing this way and Cleverley was seeing a lot of the ball, working incredibly well with Welbeck and Anderson. Since the injuries of these players early in the season, it seemed to take us a while to get back to any kind of form. It looks like we have reverted back to last season's style of play...but with Cleverley coming back soon and Anderson back in midfield, I hope we can get some of that form back.

    This might be a little rambley and heaping a lot of praise on just one player, but I honestly think we'll start to play much better football as soon as Tom is back on the field.

            I think Cleverley is equally missed this season to be honest. I was mainly focussing on our attacking flaws.

      We should be exposed to injuries like we have been. I know the injury list is unprecendented, but there should be enough numbers not to have to play players out of position. If anything our squad is too young.

        O'Neill is doing that at Sunderland and it's working very well.
        The bench has always been a good judge of a team, United's has been poor for some time

        This is the time when a player's versatility comes to the fore. Players out of position is an absolute necessity at this point of time and if we had that many players in the squad, when the team is fully fit they would all be rotting on the bench. I strongly believe we need 1 world-class midfielder in the team. But that's it.

        The annoying thing about all of that is it seems Fergie is refusing to admit that our squad isn't good enough...I know we're still 2nd in the Premier League, but we're out of the Champions League, we lost to Crystal Palace in the CC and we're more than likely going out of the FA cup on Sunday. He'll probably ignore all of these things 🙁

      Don't normally defend MU, but they have been incredibly unlucky with injuries this season. I can't really remember them having such big problems as this... Carrick and Valencia in defence the other week sums it all up.

        Sorry, utter BS. Blame Fergie who waved goodbye to O'Shea, Brown and only signed 1 (exensive) replacement in Jones.
        Crazy with Rio's age and Vidic's injury history recently

          They had to wave goodbye to those players for the 25 man squad. Jones and Young replaced them. 5 centre backs should really be enough.

    Slipped down the leaderboard horrifically in the last 2 GW's, but have 2 FT to amend to some extent.
    Vorm (Ruddy)

    Enrique Vermaelen Simpson (Tierney, Evans)
    Silva Bale Larsson Nani (Allen)
    RVP Sturridge Ade

    Was going to do either..
    A) Verm -> Kompany
    Larsson -> Sess/Walters
    B) Verm -> Kompany
    Enrique -> Kelly/Caulker
    Larsson -> Dempsey
    (4PT HIT)
    C) Verm -> Richards (rotation risk)
    Larsson -> Dempsey
    Evans -> Kelly

    Would be grateful for any help or suggestions. Thanks 🙂

      bit tricky your team looks storng to me and may well start producing, we all good through poor weeks with good teams (except the bugger leading my mini league) so may be risk to do triple change

        Fair enough, but do think Larsson would b worth keeping in ahead of the inform Sessegnon?
        And Verm -> Kompany is a no brainer atm right??

    Hi

    Would really appreciate your advice - does this team look OK:

    Lindegaard (Vorm)
    Enrique, Kompany, Evans (Simpson, Caulker)
    Nani, Silva, Bale, Walters (McClean)
    RVP, Aguero, Sturridge

    Suggestions and opinions would be great please! I’d like to keep 3 united players (despite their current form…) but is it worth upgrading Evans to Jones and downgrading Simpson and McClean? have 0.9 in the bank.

    Thanks!

        thanks for the reply. It was one of the two, just thought McClean would be a nice differential in a fairly standard team, although he would only come in with injuries...

    is Friedel and Krul too much money on keepers, currently I have Freidel and Vorm, but they don't rotate well, Krul and Friedel do, but it leaves me weak elsewhere if I want Aguero

      I'm quite keen on Schwarzer or Stockdale/Vorm, but haven't seen it mentioned much on here. Might save a bit to accommodate Aguero.

    seems like a pretty common WC team...yet when I redo it every time I usually come out with a variation of the the following:

    WC Team:

    Vorm | Ruddy

    BAE | Jones | Kompany | Brown | Simpson

    Bale | Dempsey | Sessegnon | Cabaye | Valencia

    RVP | Yakubu | Aguero

    thoughts?

    I'm looking for a striker punt to replace Ba with for 3 weeks. Maximum price of 7.8. I will then WC before GW 24.

    Looking at the fixures my obvious options are:

    Agbonlahor
    Bendtner
    Yakubu

    Any other ideas/better options?

      am in the same dilema with slightly more to spend, which is drawing me to Super Mario.

      Gabby's early season form seems to have dipped, Bendy, no, Yak is a good choice

      Bellamy could be an interesting punt, as could Zamora.

      I make it roughly 5 Gameweeks, with WC available for the 26% ownership.

      I think only 7.3,

      He needs -55k this game week to drop.
      Knowing people will trans him back in straight after, a lot of folks won't bother selling
