An eventful Gameweek 24 concludes tonight at a foggy Anfield, where title contenders Tottenham Hotspur take on in-form hosts Liverpool. The Monday Night Football Dugout Discussion promises to be an exciting one, with talking points aplenty already.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp isn’t in Merseyside tonight, having spent the day in Southwark Crown Court and seeing his flight up grounded due to ‘technical problems’. He’s named a side though and, along with the home side, it’s as follows…

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Spearing, Kuyt, Gerrard, Adam, Carroll, Bellamy.

Spurs XI:Friedel, Walker, Dawson, King, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Livermore, Modric, Parker, Bale, Adebayor.

Luis Suarez’s lengthy ban has ended, meaning Kenny Dalglish can name him amongst the substitutes. The undroppable Craig Bellamy starts, as does Dirk Kuyt and Andy Carroll. Elsewhere, fantasy favourite Jose Enrique misses the clash, woth Martin Kelly coming in.

As for the visitors, Ledley King starts, but there’s no Rafael Van der Vaart, Aaron Lennon or Jermain Defoe, meaning Harry Redknapp is forced to name an unfamiliar line-up.

Follow it unfold in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Great game Gareth, great game. Might be slightly more difficult than Wigan or Norwich at home. Could not be more straight at the goalie

hmm have been pondering this whilst at work (yes I know) but I've been thinking, is Silva a must-have? Really 9-10 million for a player who is never liikely to deliver more than 6 or 7 points when for 3 million less you can get Yaya (when he's back) who is just as likely to deliver a 6 or 7, but can easily deliver double digit points as well.

Doing this move next week would allow me to also do Gerbil ➡ Ba for no hit and then

Aguero ➡ Rooney in GW28 and still have loose change.

He may seldom deliver more than 6 or 7 points, but he gets 6 or 7 points most weeks

Only four of past ten weeks has he done so. Silva out for Hart and a decent hot mid in is a play.

I think that would be a good call. Nani and Young coming back to fitness diminishes Tony V's appeal (and playing time).

I'd rather have Silva than Valencia, particularly given the respective teams' next few fixtures

am looking after GW28 though. If I lose Valencia I need a mid who'd rotate with McLean after this date, Ox loses his rotation them, so I'm left with Sess, a QPR, Wigan or Newcaslte mid (would look at Barfa but he doesn't seem nailed on enough)

Dawson has been outstanding tonight. Cracking centre half. Friedel and the rest of the defence have all done well too. Disappointing performance from Bale tonight. Just doesn't seem up for it.

You can't dominate teams like man city. What do you want him to do? Constantly take on their defence single handedly?
