It hasn’t taken long for Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson to make his mark in the Premier League. Handed the role of chief creator by Brendan Rodgers, the loan signing from Hoffenheim has already produced a series of strong performances and, with 3 assists and a goal in just four appearances, is starting to catch the eye of Fantasy managers.

Climbing off the bench on his debut, Sigurdsson set up Danny Graham to notch the winner in a five-goal thriller against Arsenal. Despite a blank in the following game away to Sunderland, the Icelandic international provided the assist in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, before a sublime display –in his first full appearance for the Swans- saw him return a goal and assist in last week’s 2-1 win at West Brom.

Averaging 6.25 points per game in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), and priced at a mere 5.0, we analyse his displays so far, using the Opta stats available to members, in addition to our very own ICT Index…

    I'm going for Aggy, he grabbed a goal last and an assist last week plus if you saw the game he was involved in a lot of the play going forward. Villa have been rubbish defensively at home, conceding a lot and Kun is on penalties. I just reckon he could bang a few in this GW

just looking at it now, Silvas output has dropped while Yaya has been at ACON, and he will be back soon! I think City will be back to there attacking best once Yaya is back and Silva will be getting bigger points hauls again!

        do you have to get rid of Skrtel? do you not have adequate backup to last till gw29? You'll want to bring him or Enrique back in gw29 anyway...
        
        Cahill : he's not a certain starter, chelseas fixtures in the long term aren't great and chelsea are leaking goals.
        
        Taiwo : probably the best of the bunch until gw 31, then you can swap back to someone from United, tottenham or liverpool
        
        Evans: worth a punt at 4.5 but unites fixtures aren't great until gw28 anyway, so not much better then keeping skrtel...

    The Dutch do love a good barney. A nation of fiery people. Cruyff doesn't want Van Gaal to undo all the work he has done. LVG is an outspoken manager who knows what he wants when he is in charge but he is a good coach. I liked the Barca days in the 90's when they had half the Holland team mixed in with Puyol, Xavi and some Brazilians. Amazing to watch.

  Good chance of him playing some games, what with him being able to play in 3 positions. Won't start many at CB though, and the first choice CM pairing when fit will be Clevz and Carrick. Should get most at RB, but i think he's too much of a rotation risk at that price. Look elsewhere

So, who wants to make a speech for Mark? OK I'll do it -

Back in January 2010 I was exposed to fantasy football scout through google, Starting in GW 4, and utterly addicted I felt my rank was far too less, hence, I stumbled my way on to this site and haven't looked back since, Of course I'm still considered a Newbie with respect to other, more famous posters like Granville, Applebonkers, Impressive Tackle,Gargamel, ATB, 1966 the list is endless, however, what I do want to state is how profound an impact this site has had on my life, spending at least 5-6 hours every day on it, I feel like part of a community, a pretty odd community sure, but a community nonetheless, and this goes down to the effort of one man - Mark [Sorry Granville]. Mark has with the help of other scouts of course, raised this site, taking it from humble beginnings to the mighty behemoth it has become today, and now today as we welcome the youngest scout, young william, may this day be cherished and ensures that this site remains for many, many more years to come. Three Cheers.
