With the Paddy Paddy Cup V sewn up last week by sleepingmaster, we now turn our attention to it’s sister competition, the Members Paddy Power Cup II. Over 900 Fantasy Football Scout members signed up, with hopes of qualifying for the first round of 512. As expected, the standard was very high, and the qualifying mark was set at a lofty 82 points for Gameweek 24.

That put 494 in the hat for round one, and forced 41 fantasy managers to rely on their overall rank to earn one of the remaining 17 spots. The list of all qualifiers can be viewed right here.

On to the first round draw then, which has been made and can be viewed right here. All 256 fixtures will be played over the upcoming Gameweek 25, and the result will follow shortly afterwards.

Our reigning champ, Kippax Kikkers (formerly Kippax Kolggers), is up against leekota, as he looks to defend his title.

Elsewhere, plenty of Scouts (not me) are in the mix – Mark takes on Shimmy, G-G-Granville has drawn Shehzu, Andy will square up to Lucas that is all, it’s Big Dunc Vs. ChrisHighwind, Pure Olivia is up against djembe, Anorak‘s been paired with Primprong, and Jonty will play johnd.

The prize? Well, once again sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the competition with some great prizes and we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down as follows:

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Remember, to claim a prize you will need a Paddy Power account and be aged 18 and over to be eligible. Prizes are also subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.

If you’ve yet to register a Paddy Power account, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10.

Finally, if you set up an account and are going to bet with Paddy Power, always gamble responsibly.

My work colleague gave me a pack of Premier League stickers yesterday, and it had a Suarez shiny in it.
Some sort of sign you reckon?!

Found it funny though that he had Heskey and Distin in there with him though. 🙂

Haha what was he doing with stickers in the first place? I think you should ignore the sign. He doesn't score goals. He just causes trouble.

          GW6 - MUN 1-1
          GW8 - FUL 2-0
          GW9 - ars 1-3
          Around that same period, with Huth;

          GW7- swa 0-2
          GW10 - NEW 1-3

Yeah looked at that but I have no money in bank. So would need to finance with another trade.

Then I would have a decision of who to drop from the front 8. If I brought in Sig then I would play him.

        Drop Sess?

    Mignolet (Krul)
    Kelly, Caulker, Richards
    Sessegnon - Dempsey (C) - Bale (VC) - Silva
    RVP - Aguero - Ba
    Subs: Evans, Walters, Huth

    Everything's as it should be?

2FT - should I transfer Walters and Huth out for Gylfi and Santon (than upgrade Santon to Enrique)?

The other option is: Sess -> McClean, Walters -> Valencia.

ok so I lots of people's views I respect all say different things. At the moment I have it on Dempsey as he has both form and the best fixture, but that's something I've never down outside of a double so consider it a slight risk. RVP is classic, text book captain choice..and for good reason. Bale as well is likely to score well at home.

this is going to go all the way into Sat morning.

There are two things putting me off Bale - the fact that Newcastle travel pretty well, and the worry that the speculation around Harry might have had an effect on the team atmosphere.

    Still struggling with my moves this week;

Really tempted to ditch Silva for Demps? I wouldn't really be losing much on him and if needs be i can bring in YaYa next week if ui want more City for the home games.

Or just do a simple Walters out for Adel Taraabt?

Ik onw Walters is back upfront maybe but Stoke look gash and those 2 easy home games are not as easy as people make out.

Yes it's a possibility he'll be back up front, but Jerome's done well, we can't say for sure Walters will be OOP again.

    SAF PRESSER:

    * Tom Cleverley will be involved in some capacity against Liverpool tomorrow. "He's training well at the moment."

    * Chris Smalling could also be available, although no other players are expected to retirn.

    * The Liverpool game will come too soon for Phil Jones but Sir Alex says he'll take the young defender to Holland next week for the Europa League tie against Ajax.

    * On Saturday's Liverpool match: "We expect a hard game tomorrow but I'm just looking for the sort of performance we've been showing recently. That should help us."

Not me , but then I don't drop strikers, play 4 mf and 3 at back , I like to play positive and hope for goals/assists , I don't like trying to bank on cs- it has a habit of biting you.

        This is true.
I was thinking of playing 3 5 2 this week starting 7 will be Siggy, Dempsey, Silva, Mclean, Bale, Rvp and Rooney.
So not sure who i would drop from my mid to start Ba???

If there was ever a week to bench him, this would be it. Now I'm not saying that you should bench him. I'm just saying that if you don't bench him this week, then you'll never have a better week to do so.

Yeah AVB loves a Portuguese. And a Brazilian is the next best thing. You have seen the AVB antics this season with regards to Lamps. He seems content with making controversial selections in his team. I would definitely start Cahill but I don't think it's a dead cert that AVB will.

Definitely Ivanovic is one of their best defenders and should always play. I just think that AVB finds comfort in playing his countrymen and creating a dressing room of players loyal to him. You saw it when all the Portuguese speaking players all ran over to celebrate with AVB after a goal. I just think he will always try and play his guys before anyone else.
