We’ve narrowed it down to just 64 sides in the Members Paddy Power Cup II, but there’s still a long way to go before we approach the prize-winning stages. With less than half the tournament complete, the 32 fixtures that comprise the fourth round can be viewed right here.

With the former champ biting the dust last week, and every last one of the Scout Contributors dumped out of the competition, we take a look at those left in the competition…

The third highest-ranked Fantasy manager in the fourth round is 894th in the world, and round three top-scorer, Bob Fossil. His passage into the last 32 is currently blocked by 2,801st overall jackomcjackon.

Our second “seed” is herrzz. He sits an impressive 355th overall, and finds himself up against 23,706th in the world Billy Ketsu.

The man to beat, and our highest-ranked Fantasy manager in the competition, is 108th in the world JimNastics. Looking to upset the apple cart this week and eliminate our best player is 15,272nd on the world seamus.

All fixtures to be played across Gameweek 28. Good luck to all the fourth round participants! I’ll bring you the results and the subsequent draw shortly after the Gameweek has concluded.

He may keep scholes for the Bilbao game thinking he'll get away without him V West Brom
Cant see many other casualties tho, he'll know not to underestimate WB after their performance V Chelsea and also the 2-2 at OT last season

          Wouldnt count on it
Wont he be needed more in Spain? I reckon more (better) possession is a must for united to have a chance.
Might depend on Cleverely tho, I expect him to start V WB (if he's fit)
          Otherwise Carrick and Anderson

I would imagine that Fergie places beating City in the league above a Europa win. Just my opinion though.

I cant see Rooney not playing. And for everyone who sold Aguero to make way for Rooney, Id say Aguero playing the full 90 in Europa may mean he is benched vs Swansea

The PL is far more important to Fergie than the Europa make no mistake about that. They are only in the Europa because of their CL failings. The PL is massive this year with City looking to take it to the wire. United can't afford to drop any points. But they can afford to get knocked out by Bilbao.

I agree fully with this. Ferguson will want to win against Bilbao, of course, but he wont be resting players this weekend to that end. If they are 3-0 up after 60mins, then of course Rooney etc can be taken off with Thursday in mind (by which time he will have scored a hattrick!)

    Morning yall

Following the public outrage over the alleged stupidity my transfer plan, I’m still somehow convinced that these transfers will pay dividends.

I have already done 3 transfers but am being forced to play A.Ferdinand away to bolton ( = 1 point inevitably) so im thinking Silva, A.Ferdinand > Miyaichi/Pilki, Skrtel for -8.

    I’m looking for more opinions.
    Cheers.

    My team is

    Krul Mignolet
    Evans JEnrique A.Ferdinand (Simpson Kelly)
    Bale Silva Dempsey Siggy McClean
    Rooney RVP Suarez

How many transfers are you happy to do (points are you happy to give away) so you can be happy with every player in your team for this gw?
Why not play Kelly away at villa if you dont like Ferd at bolton
Why bring in Miyaichi for silva for a hit? You think he'll score 4 more than silva really?

Anyway, the point is your team should be good enough for any GW if you've already done 3 transfers.

I see an 11 point swing in just A.Ferd>Skrtel but need to do an extra transfer to fund it. and kelly is injured 🙁

ok fair enough on the silva thing but look at it this way
Your team has Evans, Enrique, Bale, Silva, Dempsey, Rooney, RVP and Suarez.
Get your captain right and youre (probably) already on a good score.
The gamble you're taking for -8 pts
a - has more potential to backfire and
b - isnt needed cos you have 8 players to be happy with for this GW.

The liverpool defence is without Johnson and has Carragher instead of Agger. I wouldn't be counting on 'that' defence for cleansheets.

I'd just take Silva out next week, when its free

Thanks Rob, I think Ill do just that! Sell Simpson for Caulker 🙂

Else Ill sell Simpson for Kaboul, but that would leave me with Lescott, Evans, Kaboul, Skrtel, Kelly, which may be too much money in defence and give me selection headaches each week (with my front 8)

Guys, which is the best option (I'm wildcarding):

    1. Friedel, Mignolet, Skrtel +0.5
    2. Reina, Bogdan, Lescott +0.0

Already have Enrique. Option 1 leaves me with some cash and Skrtel's goal threat, but without any MCY players. Option 2 would likely see me play Reina every week to the end of the season, whereas Friedel and Mignolet rotate well. Help!

Same position 🙁 Caulker is pencilled in. I'm captaining RVP so it would feel weird to play Santon, although he probably has a better chance of attacking points.

Dempsey to Nani for a 4 point hit.

I have Pog already, as the long term plan was him in and Dempsey out.

The logic is Dempsey is probably on a 2'er this weekend. Nani needs to get an assist just to cover the hit.

    Krul
    J Evans, G Johnson, Richards
    Bale, Silva, Ryo, Mata (c)
    RVP, Ba, Prog

Don't know who I would drop out of the front 7 as Dempsey is going to be benched anyway.

So happy i still haven't bothered doing Ba > Suarez for a 4 point hit.

16 goals vs 6 goals in the league. Ba has more than double end product of Suarez. He'd need a triple GW to make the transfer worth it.

Is it worth to trade Kompany out for Enrique or Skrtel or G.Johnson with a 4-point hit?

I'm in the same boat (but with Taiwo instead of BAE) and am bringing in Skrtel for Kompany, Liverpool fixtures look so much better than ManC and I need my big price defender to be playing. Skrtel has looked dangerous and the most likely to score of the Liv defenders recently

    RMWCDGWT:

    Ruddy (Krul)
    Skrtel JEnrique Senderos
    Giggs Dempsey Bale Silva
    Pogrebnyak Ba RVP(c)

    Bench: Sigurdsson JEvans Caulker
    £1.2m in the bank

    My thinking:
    1. My first FPL season, and I'm rapidly learning two things: a) Form over fixtures (hence I'm getting Pog until he runs out of form), and b) the value of player values. Money is tight for me, and I wasn't on the ball (or on this site) early enough to get a decent pot to upgrade players. Teams with two of the likes of Roony Aguero and RVP up front make me green with envy.
    2. One of those defenders was going to be Kompany until last night (guess who!), and Senderos was going to be Kelly (Fulham) to release 0.3m. So much for that. One of the double Liverpool will turn into Man City after the DGW - still undecided whether to replace Skrtel and use the spare cash elsewhere, or use it now to replace Enrique.
    3. I'm sticking with Fuham until their fixtures turn nasty (about GW33). Dempsey will end up being one of Nani/Young/Valencia,depending on their fitness, rotation and form at the time. The Pog may revert to the Yak sooner.

    What think ye all?

      1. Runs out of form? Unpredictable, that could be this weekend and then N'Gog will score and you'll be thinking you should've played the fixtures.

      2. Enrique or Skrtel are great transfers this week for Kompany.

      3. I'm thinking Silva may be my casualty for a United mid, but I'm more likely going to double up on the defence. Dempsey actually has decent home fixtures (where he usually scores) till the end of the season. As you like to play form, surely this means you'd keep him anyway? GW33 onwards>

CHELSEA liverpool WIGAN everton SUNDERLAND tottenham

Dempsey scored against Chelsea at stamford bridge. I'll be keeping I think.

I had 4 coming in earlier in the season with 5 mins to go.

Looked at the minute of goal and it was 7 to my 6.

Luckily for my furniture 2 fell by the wayside right at the end as would have been devastated to have been 1minute in the guess from £100,000 (or probably a share of).

Yeah if you get all 6 you get £100,000 (the minute is only a decider in the case of a tie).

I'm not sure if it has ever happened!

Basically think most weeks 4/5 right wins, but this is where the minute becomes crucial.

I forgot it's actually "only" £5,000 for the weekly highest score. (I always have it in my head it's more than that).
