No Gylfi pleasure for me, Dempsey heartbreak more like. A trip to the Cottage inspired the decision to throw my FPL armband the way of Captain America, only for Sigurdsson to steal the thunder and banish me to a miserable tube ride home.

Mark lends an (un)sympathetic ear in this latest episode, as we roll through the regulars whilst discussing how we’re all heading back to the drawing board for our third striker solution.

        Sorry but Pog was always a massive knee-jerk. Was listening to a well informed Russian football journo on the radio and he said that Pog was a really average player and don't be suprised if he doesn't score again this season.

          He is a good player.
          His record is awful before arriving to Fulham because Fulham's Midfield is more lively & creates more chances for goals than his earlier club.

    Never thought I’d ask this but bench McClean or Silva this GW?

    I know the obvious answer is sell Silva and get another decent milf, but who and is it worth a 4pt hit?

    Also will McClean improve with Sess back, or is that just baloney?

    Yaya, Valencia and Bale are the others.

        I really don't think Silva will start at the weekend. He looks truely knackered and Stoke at home won't give his shins a rest. Don't want him coming on for a 10mins when City chasing a win. Reckon Yaya might play just behind a lone striker and be enough City cover.

        Or just remove any doubt and sell him? But for who and for 4pts?

        Cheers, good just to get a objective opinion sometimes. I felt uneasy taking silva out. But was getting a little board and thought i could use the money in different ways. But not sure if it is worth a 4 point hit.

      It's actually very competitive for this week...

      The only problem I can see is that you have no real standout player for the defender spot...

      You should probably stick with BAE on account of his attacking potential, and I can see Spurs turning Chelski over, since RDM will probably rest some key players for the Benfica match...

      Dempsey first sub, then Simpson & Kelly for me...

          Dempsey will get you no more than 2 points... don't be fooled by his 9m price tag...

          Moses seems to prefer playing away... and Liverpool are just horrible... Kenny will obviously demand a better defensive display, but Wigan have scored at Anfield for the past 4 seasons...

          I think Moses will get you an assist this week...

        Not at all, your advice is just as valuable... I just offer a different perspective...

        I have absolutely no confidence in Liverpool's defense right now... and when in doubt, I turn to stats...

        Sure the odds tells us that Liverpool are 4/5 on to keep a clean sheet, but the last 4 seasons in this fixture don't lie... Wigan are likely to score and the bookies will clean up...

        i dont understand this not doubling up stratergy. Surly if one option is better than the other it is better to go with it even if it means doubling up. Sure it is more risky but over the season it must be the better option?

          I have no problem doubling up if say Cahill is BAE in this case. I just think Cahill has a way bigger chance of getting an attacking points and the Swans cs will be covered by Vorm anyway. Just my opinion of course 🙂

            The problem is Mid: Bale and Dempsey attack: Pogrebnyak and Rooney V pick the right Defense to allow room for my favorite players 🙂

            I'd think Cahill wouldn't be pushing forward too much against Spurs attack. May be wrong though. Even though I wear my colors on my grav, I don't hold high hopes for Everton scoring at Swansea. We've not done much on road and they are quite stout at home. Swans seem more likely for CS than Chelsea to me, at least.

              Saying that, I do find the lure of B very overpowering, on a personal level...

              This game takes up more of my time and energy than most things... the only problem with selecting B is the relative importance other people place on this game...

              Now winning this game would represent a massive personal achievement and something which I could hold within myself as a huge success... I could even bring it up in a conversation with another 'FPL aware' person in the future that I once won this game and they would be relatively impressed... but it is never going to impress any woman that I once spent 38 weeks clicking and moving around 15 little players on a screen with their own little coloured strips, and that, out of almost 3 million people, I managed to pick the ones, who over the course of a season, scored the most points...

              Now that might sound like I'm taking the piss... but that is how they will see it... that's what my girlfriend thinks I do... she doesn't understand...

              No, ultimately I would choose A because it is something tangible... something that would carry weight with everyone whom I met... it would be a story that I could tell over and over again and never get embarrassed about or feel a little bit silly about ever telling to a certain person... and I happen to think that if I got the chance to meet this person, I would befriend them and thus would have a famous friend... 🙂

      Almost exactly the same as mine except I have Krul, and Surman instead of Walcott

      I prefer the Siggy transfer and bench Ba, then you can use the funds to upgrade Surman/Ba.

      And you need to get Jevans, cheap ass, nailed on and playable every week (except the City game) till the end of season.

      Yeah Ryan, I actually found a job this week...

      I'll be working as bartender in Fortitude Valley at RG's Hotel... it is just what I need to keep me going financially while I get settled into a new accommodation... I''m actually in the process of moving into a house share in the West End this weekend...

      Once I get settled in, I will be then be volunteering in some Architect's offices on my days off, in the hope that I'll get something more permanent out of it...

      Things are beginning to fall in to place... 🙂

        Nicely done. I expect to be doing something similar when I finish up at Uni this year. Not a bad way to do it getting an evening job. Frees up plenty of time during the day. Adjusting to the Aussie lifestyle alright?

          Yeah, having spent 5 months in Melbourne, I wasn't sure I liked Brisbane as much... but I have to say it is slowly growing on me... like a fungal infection... 🙂

          The thing about living in Brisbane is, I actually now value Air-Con as much as the roof over my head... absolutely brilliant invention, and vital to have in weather like this... especially for a pasty white f*cker like me... 🙂

    Swansea's nice run of fixtures means that you can easily play siggie and caulker every game. That leaves a lot of extra cash. I was looking at upgrading dave to adebayor for GW33, but now thinking I could keep dave, and only play him for nice fixtures. Would leave 2.6 mill for a luxury purchase. Enrique > Baines?
