No Gylfi pleasure for me, Dempsey heartbreak more like. A trip to the Cottage inspired the decision to throw my FPL armband the way of Captain America, only for Sigurdsson to steal the thunder and banish me to a miserable tube ride home.

Mark lends an (un)sympathetic ear in this latest episode, as we roll through the regulars whilst discussing how we’re all heading back to the drawing board for our third striker solution.

            Kompany questionable. Lescott out (I think). No doubt that City were a rock earlier. That was then and this is now, which is why I think it's somewhere up in the air.

    Reckon there's not much to think about for captain for the rest of the season. RVP every week except GW32 & 35, and then Rooney lines up nicely. That's of course if the both stay fit and keep form.

    Much wrong with that policy?

        This is something I am toying with. My rival captains RVP every week and I'm 65pts behind. Might have to take the occasional captaincy risk with Rooney more than just a few times

          It's quite safe IMO. Personally I was planning to take tevez instead of rooney..risky it is. But i wish to finish in the top 100. Never had rooney in my team the whole season.

    I have gone Silva > Valencia already with 1 FT left.

    I am probably going to do Dempsey>Walcott tomorrow.....My "master plan" is to bring in Pog > Ba for GW31 v NOR. This way I can avoid the MUN game all together and still have FUL cover for next week.

              This is why I hate Baraca. They have a great side and play great football, but there is soo much favourtism for them they could send out 8 men each match and the ref would just send off 3 of the opposition players so it matched up.

      You again. During Liverpool's double gw it was all about getting Suarez in. Last week it was all about getting Rooney in for Suarez. Now back to Suarez. Typical.

    Surprised to see RVP blowing Rooney away in the captain's poll. Their opposition is equally poor but United have a few extra days rest and Fulham defended dreadfully against Swansea. Villa missing Dunne still but will no doubt try and park the bus, they could be rusty after their short break though.

    Tbh i'd slightly fancy Rooney to score better, United are too strong at home but I may have to play safe and captain RVP as blocker against my rivals, neither of whom have Rooney. Dont understand how its 48% to 23%

        Before the 5 goals in the Wolves match, Rooney had scored all 5 of United previous goals, so the "playing deeper" argument doesn't hold water. RVP's keeps plugging away but Rooney is in his best form right now.
        Fulham will be keen to erase memory but it won't happen away from home and certainly not at Old Trafford.

      Yeah it is a little surprising. You'd think they'd be nothing in it considering the opposition. I may just captain Rooney for the differential. Especially considering how everyone seems to be captaining RVP. I think in the scoutcast Granville put in a wee plug for Rooney this week. Fulham do seem to be woeful in defense of late

      I have loads of cash and after listening to the scout cast it might be the time to go budget for the 3rd striker again.

      That would leave cash to upgrade Dempsey or even get a exp defender like Baines/Verm for the run in. Risky though.

      BTW Good ranking. Going to get a top 1k finish?

      The Siggy pts from the benches really screwed me over. Dropped down from a 13k ranking to 18k. Still a small green arrow overall so suppose ok.

    Morning all, feel like we are hitting a vital point of the season be it if we are chasing or leading.

    I a have so many half plan but cant seem to make any decisions.

    Krul/ Ruddy
    Kompany/ Evans/ McAulaey/ Williamson/Kelly
    Valencia/Bale/Dempsey/Miyachi/Moses
    RVP/Rooney/Ba

    Some future ideas were-
    Krul to Bogdan- better fixtures and a double to come
    Kelly to Wilkinson- better fixtures and rotates well with Williamson
    Moses to Y Toure
    Ba to Graham (if done Moses cld become Walcott)

    Are any of these ideas sound/idiotic or can any of you see a beter way of improving my team.

    No free transfer left this week and 1.9 in the bank.

      Normally offense over defense and I don't think that much of Simpson. I have Dempsey on my bench this week, though, which means that my United defender, Evans, will probably do something stupid like take Demps down in the box and give up a penalty to him. That'd be my luck.

    Still trying to figure out whether Young to Valencia (for free) is a good thing to do this week...

    I'll almost certainly be doing it eventually (quite likely next week) otherwise, as the cash difference is useful, and Young will probably get hit by rotation, which for his price is not worth it. But he should play on Monday after his rest.

    So, DeadZoners, do I do it this week or not?
