No Gylfi pleasure for me, Dempsey heartbreak more like. A trip to the Cottage inspired the decision to throw my FPL armband the way of Captain America, only for Sigurdsson to steal the thunder and banish me to a miserable tube ride home.

Mark lends an (un)sympathetic ear in this latest episode, as we roll through the regulars whilst discussing how we’re all heading back to the drawing board for our third striker solution.

    Bloody scoutcast! Been agonising over whether to sell Toure for one of Walcott/Gerrard all week (for a 4 pointer).Listened to scoutcast and Mark nominates him as his big hitter which surprised me but made me think again. Then Granville says that he may not even play him. Increased the confusion. Should make my own judgement of course, but can't.
    I understand that Toure has been playing well and has been unlucky not to score points, andthat he is likely to play an advanced role vs Stoke, but there is still no escaping Citý poor away from and inability to score goals away from home.

    Folks, I have a huge desire to do next week these two transfers:

    Adam -> VDV
    Ba -> Tevez.

    For a hit.

        I mean if the folks I bring in are wise ones. They are risky, but have been long away and for sure will try to show their best side. If they will play good over the weekend, I will bring them in. Other then them, I have no other TOT and MIC cover (except Komp).

        I have no other TOT cover. Adebayor is out of form (out of everything) and if VDV will hit the form, he is better then Bale. Right?

        Punt on Tevez is a real risk, out of despair, since I have money for a third striker, but there is no one worth.

            Leaving aside discussion about stupidity and genius, you named it exactly: a random punt. Last one i made was with Adam for DGW, it failed totally. But, one player does not make a difference if fails, but makes a huge difference if scores.

    Morning all,

    Worked my butt off getting to 30th overall and then my poor week compounded with sigurdsson being benched bumped me to 58th! If I played him I would be 25th and if I had captained him I would be 15th!

    Sitting in my team currently, but not with much confidence.
    Wolves at home the best available current fixture for a striker, but somehow I still don't have confidence in him. More so because you can't even be assured if he is going to start or come off the bench for a massive 1 point.

      I'm getting him soon but only because I'll play 5 mids every week. He has potential for big scores but imo it's impossible to predict when he performs (or even when he plays). Perfect for bench but a risk for first choice front 7.

        Is pure bench fodder for me as well, and can sit there for the rest of the season, or until a choice becomes obvious for the 3rd striker slot.

        I agree that he should start. Lambert should revert to a 4-4-2 at home. Morison didn't offer much last weekend, and the ''granville theory'' supports it.
        Think I will keep him where he is in the team for the moment.
        As for selling, that can wait. Have 2.5 in the bank but nobody I really fancy for around 7million.

      Krul over Vorm definitely.

      Elsewhere it's not very clear cut. I'd be tempted to go 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. Play McClean, home to QPR he's got to get something, right (I am a McClean owner as well, so I may be speaking more in hope that expectation). Ba would be the obvious one to drop, although Silva and Bale both have tricky away games, so either of those could be benched.

    i am undecided over who to go with for game week 30. this is my team:

    cahill (williamson)-enrique-evans
    gerard-walcott-valencia-siggy (miyaichi)
    rvp-rooney-suarez(cap captain) other subs: schwarzer, kelly (fulham)

    I am undecided over whether to use cahill or williamson in defence & siigy or miyaichi in the middle. the need for differentials is high in the private league i am competing to have any hope of a better finish. Can someone help me out

      Nice team. Cahill and Williamson have a similar chance of a cleanie IMO but Cahill could always pop up with a goal so I've gone Gaz over Santon.

        yeah. thanks man. but as i am new to this fpl thing i havent been great in the overall rankings [mainly due to making too many transfers]. i'll know better not to next season. any thoughts on siggy vs miyaichi for game week 30.
        everton defence seems to be more resolute than blackburn and bolton have a new found motivation to go the extra miles due to recent events. thats the case for miyaichi. but still siggy is in hot form, and dont want to miss out on another bunch of goals>points

          Agreed about Silva being in poor form but at least he's actually done something this year. Choosing Ryo just because he has good fixtures doesn't mean he'll actually perform!

    which one is better??..I hate 4 pt hits. Anyone else you guys think I should replace suarez with? I am thinking of tevez coz he would be a big time diff(could be foolish).

      I might join you with Tevez, but people told me it was stupid. 🙁 But it seems he has Mancinis trust and want to prove the whole world he is the best one. Not to mention that Mancini need to change something, otherwise they will not win PL. And tevez seems to bring the missing element.

    Thanks to all who answered on my post above.

    I have no TOT cover and if I exclude Ade (who is simply not worth having), I cannot decide between Bale and VDV. Heavily leaning to VDV, 'cause he seem to be back, in old form and I am not bound with already having Bale as most of people here.

    Sure, will decide after weekend's game, but what is general consensus here: VDV or Bale (or maybe Ade)?

      Personally I am looking no further than Bale and BAE. VDV is a liability in my eye's he has an equal chance of going on a run or doing his hammy in. I have been burnt too many times in the past so I would stay away from VDV!

        Anyone with RVP or Rooney who captains Suarez is either a)mad, b)desperate, c)clinically dead.

        Have a look at RVP and Rooney's track record of double digit scores and then Suarez's even against poor opposition.
